I've owned one for a year. It's always an event to drive ! I love it. There are times when I'm blasting down a twisting country road, top down, engine singing, no other traffic, and I think "I can't believe this is my car". It has just about the limit of the power you can use on a public road. You never want for more.
@@tonynze I was looking for red or blue with a white interior. But then I saw a white one with the red interior and I was smitten. That's what I bought.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedthe manual one was released quite recently exclusively for the 2024 model as the m40i spec. I am still waiting for a z4M though that would be a killer
VERY NICE CAR BUT WHY ALL BMW CONVERTIBLE CARS USE SOFT TOP NOT HARD TOP. NOT SECURE FOR CUSTOMERS. BMW HAVE NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO MAKE IT BE MORE WELL LIKE OTHER CARS IN THIS WORLD?
10 years ago there were around 30 different folding hard tops. Now there’s around 4. They’re old fashioned, heavy, rob valuable luggage space, and very dependent on maintenance. Triple layer hoods such as on the Z4 are actually quieter than a hard top. Rain drums on a hard top, not so on canvas.
I traded in my '17 SL450 (hardtop) for a '24 Z4 M40i (soft top). Z4 is quieter with the top up than the SL was. I now have full trunk space weather the top is up or down. Lost a good chunk of space with the SL top down. Soft top tech is way better than it used to be. Also makes it lighter and faster with a lower center of gravity. I guess it depends what you're looking for.

Ah man! What color did you get?

Insane new BMW Z4 convertible car to buy.
Fun car for sure!
Dream car 😍 working hard to buy it one day
Awesome! Keep working towards it. You'll have it in no time!
me too! 🙏🏼
Hermoso vehículo, una masterclass de diseño.
Oh yeah!
Insane vehicle bestie.
It’s a sweet bmw!
I might really be able to afford in a few years
Keep working towards it! Plenty of good used ones in the $40k range. Great car to buy
They actually DO offer the Z4 with a manual!
Where did you see that? A 2024?
@BrosFOURRSpeed I understand the manual option is a cost option for 2024 but only in US market
@@markrhoden68 I’ve never seen that! I’m in the US.

Manual will not be available for order until March 2024. Not available quite yet. @@acapulco9631
Seems very nice, but a convertible stingray offers a lot for the same price. If you can get one. Great video!
The C8 will cost atleast $10K more. If not even more than that!
You guys need to get your facts straight.
It’s 0-60 in 3.9sec.
I did mention the 30i spec on that, Opps.
Car and Driver clocks it at 3.5.
Tell me why this car looks a little bit like the 2011 BMW 1 Series Convertible
A lot of the bmws look similar lol
Am I seeing bits of Supra as far as appearance inside or outside.
I don’t see any exterior similarities, only inside with the tech.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed The clamshell hood, no?
@@amill1563 Not the same at all!
That instrument panel on the Z4 looks way better than the disgusting big slab they use on the newer models
I like the the newer screen as well.
$73k? A lot of choices at that price point!
Yeah it is up there! More cost effective than a Porsche Baxter with the same power. So for a 2 seat convertible, its well priced I think
Exterior BMW - Interior MBZ
Intersting..
0-60 in 4.5s , not 5s
Yeah, it’s closer to 4 seconds!

huh?

That’s just what they do, people buy them, so it’s not stopping sales, drives just like a hardtop would.

@@Largeone1968 Yeah soft tops have come along way! Very quiet and compact! Lots of the old hard tops end up squeaking so bad and rattling.
