When you put your primer tube in the flipper, pull your cotter pin and pot the last primer down and leave the pin over the end of the tube. That’s what I’ve always done. 1. You get all your primers down and 2. You don’t lose your cotter pin
I’m a little bit of the process on the prep work. So I take 223/556 with the bench saw, then I use a case trimmer/deburr and chamfered, then anneal then primer prep and then powder and bullet? When do you wash or clean the brass? Is it after you saw the 223/556 cartridges and deburr and chamfer them? I haven’t ever reloaded before so I’m a bit lost 🫠
I clean them in a vibrating cleaner with some corn cob media and some Lemi-shine before I do anything else to them. It would suck to cut them and find they are full of dirt or sand or - even worse - insects.
@@SevenStarMountain-X7 Ah, gotcha thank you! I just got a bunch of brass over the weekend and I been trying to acquire all the miscellaneous items I need. I didn't even think of that lol yeah that is a good point! Thanks for getting back to me :)
What's a better tool and why? Perhaps a link? Nope, all you lefty was the equivalent of "Hur hur hur, I'm better than you!" Great, thanks for your comment.
@seven star tactical you can use a vibra prime (or something like that) from Frankford Arsenal or a similar tool made by double alpha (the one I use) to fill the primer pickup tubes in seconds. Thanks for the video and the extra details!
