  • SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D enables you to easily integrate your electrical schematic design from SOLIDWORKS Electrical to your 3D model of the machine or other product. (SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D requires SOLIDWORKS CAD software.) Designers can place 3D versions of all electrical parts into their model, and run wires/cables/harnesses in 3D to connect all electrical equipment. This enables you to plan specific locations and paths, and accurately determine wires/cables/harness lengths before equipment is built to ensure consistent manufacturing and to reduce scrap and costs. Your 2D schematics and 3D models are synchronized bi-directionally in real time, so any changes are automatically updated.

its very good . i have gone through your videos, Can you guys make a tutorial that includes a example that includes a complete aspects of a product & every domain involved in it using solidworks . So that we can understand how a entire product can be made using solidwork alone. For example creating a complete tutorial for making a CPU ie.,CABINET using Sheetmetal , and motherboard and other stuff like wires, cables etc using SW electrical , then costing and then the documentation using the composer and importantly how tomanage all those together effectively if product gets updated.
it would be great if you could show how to validate a product using the analysis tool you have like stress and thermal analysis for the cpu or the product you choose & if possible even manufacturing using add ins like dell cam or if any inbuilt you have . So that anybody who wants to learn or buy a product can fully understand the capability
    waiting for your reply

How would you jumper multiple circuit breakers? With out having to run multiple wires to one power supply?

I understand in real world we use a bus-bar but how do you show that in solidworks electrical.

this is a really handy tool but i feel that it is greatly overpriced for what you're getting. if anything i feel that it should be sold along side the standard 3D CAD for mechanical applications.

The projects manager is not responding. The projects manager window does not open when the projects manager button is pressed. Besides, tools section is not working. I can't create a new project because it has not opened.I also installed all SolidWorks products in one setup. Should I install the SolidWorks electrical product separately? I think about formatting to computer. I don't know how i can give more details.
