@@SwiftwoodBows Yeah for that it will be fine. Especially if Im correct in assuming it's stainless steel. I've done some little stuff the same way it was fine. A few longer stuff scrap pvc. But to be fair it's a hobby I haven't done a lot of it. That was just a rocking chair repair that once belonged to my mother inlaw and I think her mother before that. It worked out but I'm a Welder-Machinist by trade and asked a bunch of woodworking people how to do it.

You're welcome! It's just not an issue. It doesn't get hot enough to scorch the wood.
