They do factor in what is on brand for that artist at that time in their career, but that song could have been brought to her as a germ of an idea by one of the producers and then fleshed out to be what it became. Meaning during their 1st separation, Liam could have cheated and that could have been the reason for the 1st time they split (likely too based on her song FU). Second separation she explicitly said she didn't cheat but just cause she said cheating wasn't the reason for the (2nd) separation, doesn't mean for sure Liam didn't cheat.
