I love Stevie's interviews after he got sober and clean. He would really open up, and you could see the kindness and humility he had. Such an inspirational person as well as an UNBELIEVABLE guitarist!
Thanks for the post! He talked about his sobriety and how thankful he was to be clean at the Alpine Valley concert he was at peace with himself and God...at the time I listened to him, but leaned a little more toward jazz/fusion guitarists When I saw him live Stevie blew me away. Still to this day the best Texas guitarslinger I have ever seen. RIP Stevie and RIP Johnnie Winter another Texas blues icon
...Not To Mention His MUSICAL Abilities On Stage & His Connection With His Audience! Two of my most favorite guitar players of all time. Miss SRV terribly, his music will live on forever. Jimmy is still rocking and one day I need to get down to Austin to see him play.
Life without you. I love your tender touch. Life without you. It's you I miss so much, the sweetness of your kiss. I'll always love you All! - SRV (From handwritten lyrics by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Website: Gotta Have Rock and Roll)
It's good to see Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmi Vaughan together..not many times like this..sensational..maybe they can cur a song in the near future..that would be superb
I'm currently reading the book "Texas Flood: The Inside Story of Stevie Ray Vaughan" ( by Alan Paul and Andy Aledort). Those two boys were guitarists almost from birth. I'm a Northern Canadian who grew up living in a musically cultural wasteland, and blues performers never showed up in my town. That didn't stop me from seeking out these amazing artists though. I have amassed quite the sizeable record/CD/DVD collection now that I'm 67 years old. Stevie is dearly missed.
Was this when he moved back to Dallas to live with his mom in his childhood home? It was recently sold for 160k which should tell you a lot. Just cool thinking famous rich SRV would live there as an adult. Long live Stevie Ray Vaughan! Glad to see Jimmy at the recent unveilings of the wall mural in cockrell Hill and the statues at Keist park. He’s an oak cliff Dallas legend. Austin needs to relinquish their claim, he’s even buried in Dallas.
Thanks Alan Greene. Was looking for any Live Video of SRV & Jeff Beck show at Public Hall in the 80's. I was there and want to hear & see video LIVE IN CLEVELAND 🎶🎶 Anybody???

All the telephone lines are down because Stevie needed guitar strings. His hands are the definition of hard blues and soul.

When Stevie and Jimmie say the same thing in the beginning and laugh about it. It just shows how close they were and loved each other.
His hands were so beautiful. The relationship between these two was so loving and true. Love seeing them together.
Incredible the level of respect that Stevie had for his brother. RIP Stevie, he is sorely missed
RIP and long live Stevie Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 - August 27, 1990), aged 35

The amazing Vaughan Brothers 🌝
Saw Stevie Ray at his first show in Cleveland at the Variety Theater in 84’. Awesome!
Stevie Ray is the definition of Texas blues... it has a country western flavor to it
I’m really into concerts. Never got to see SRV. I’ve seen Jimmy in the last year and very grateful. He put on a hell of a show.
I could just kiss and hug you. Haven't seen this one at all. I missed a lot not being a big t.v. goer. Thanks yet again!!! ❤❤❤❤

Brilliant brothers.
SRV is missed real bad. 😎
2:24 The size of his hands OMG!
I just commented about that. He was built to play hard blues.
@@blacksabbath1022 I reckon you need those big strong hands to bend 0.13 gauge strings, and that's the reason no one can get his tone
3:49 Huge
Didnt know SRV 'Saw him on tv,Wearing a hat,Playing guitar,Man he was good...First line to a song i wrote
Thats how brothers should be.
So sad this fella ain’t no longer around....
March 6th 1988 for the Live Alive Tour at University of Akron's James A. Rhodes Arena.
That's a great album live alive.
I wish I had a relationship like this with one of my siblings
he seemed like a kind and genuine person...the way he plays shows that
LOve these interviews.

Hey there..where did you get this interview? I need it for a film I'm making about the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
It was aired on TV in late 80's and someone recorded it with their VCR and sent it to me.
I thought Chicago would have horns
Now Austin is the hotbed of blue hairs
