The impression I get is that his family had distanced themselves from their ancestry........but JFK genuinely was interested in it other than for political gain in Boston.
@@annieroche22yeah I believe they had bc joe Kennedy had political ambitions for his boys and being Irish and catholic was not good for politicians outside of the northeast in those days. Protestant middle America had an inherited suspicion and mistrust of the catholic church and its influence.

He was a good and fine man 🇮🇪☘
He seemed lovely. I was 21 months and 3 week old when he was assassinated. It must have been a sad time in Wexford and Ireland. ❤
