What can I say, GP 1998 had awesome matches :P
This again was another awesome showcase where one awesome power go for broke fighter (Greco) went against an all-technical smart fighter (Hoost). Onced you see the fight, Greco came out to dominate....with a lot of great combinations and counters, Greco had the first round.
But if anyone knows how good the legend Ernesto Hoost this would have been a different match....Yes......unfortunetely this was a forced TKO stoppage...Hoost got cut.
Otherwise this would have been another match of the year. I wanted to post this match since it's not on UA-cam (I guess my intention is to put matches not on yt yet :)

Greco is a damn monster. His sheer brute strength caged the great Hoost

Greco's stance reminds me of Shogun Rua.
The Greco Hug fight is my all time favorite. It was just a technically beautiful match.

damn mr greco rocked hoost. hoost was more tactical but greco did some some nice technique in following through with combinations and i mean look at him he's hulk

@grandesbolas1 Umm Hoost is neither American nor African...and lastly as much as I like Greco and got the win through the cut, Hoost was 10 times better in K-1 History
I dont understand how did he win? The cut? Or an actual TKO? And who stopped it?
I believe they gave up because of hoost's skin... Sounds weird but i saw an interview, in dutch, where he told that if he didn't train under the right conditions (stress) his skin got really painful. That made it impossible to play on. I think you can kinda see it in his face, but maybe im wrong.
@@jeroen2901 yes that's true, hoost had some skin disease issues and he lost some weight entering this fight.But regardless, this fight would be tough and challenging for hoost either way.
