The user manual states "do not spin tires"
I think those black melted chunks you were pulling off the boards was melted rubber from your tires. If the tires are spinning wildly like that, probably should reassess your situation and try a different strategy rather then melt the tires. Try moving the boards to the rear tires or back out of the rut in the road rather then going forward?
If you run a more AT type tyre, should be not issue gripping the board. Personally for a test, would have found some soft sand. My Subu Outback wilderness would never have an issue on that dry trail.
Those boards should be in my car-- I'm going to get some! Thanks!! Loved the funny music, too..😅 Danger!!!
I don't think the mini board is the issue. I think it's your car. That is a simple dirt road. Your car shouldn't have any issue getting through that. I own a Subaru and I go through mountain pass in the logging roads in the Catskills and Adirondack Mountains in NY state with deep snow and mud. I go through deep sand and steep hills in the Carolinas and Maine. I own the same traction boards but never had a chance to use them because I have never gotten stuck. I hope I'll never have to use them. Having the right tire for the adventure also makes a big difference.
I have a FWD with all terrain tires. A Subaru is apples and oranges to my car.
Well, they did the job for this adventure! 😊
Very informative! Interesting, and entertaining. My husband and I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Thank you, Rachel!!! 😊

Maybe not on the first try, but eventually :)
Cool vid 🙂 Looks like them things will be good to have.
You needed to dig out under your tires and place your tire on the edge and then air down (deflate you tire) to 20 lbs and drive out. Kicking the board under the tire most of the time isn’t enough. DON’T SPIN THE TIRES. I use the same mini traction boards and the work great for my Jeep Renegade.
Is the car 2wd or awd?
She says FWD in the video
There are no traction boards made for spinning your tires unnecessarily on them. You didn’t explain in the video what you were trying to do during the “tests”, you only showed the car from the front with your tires smoking. 🤔
