Prefer the OG color, but I feel like this is a good representation of the cartoon colors. She definitely needed a relax head. If Mafex doesn’t come out with a Dark Phoenix/ Phoenix, then this will be my definitive Dark Phoenix.
Yeah old one looked solid color wise but bright colors for comic characters are never a bad thing. Adds that extra color pop from far away on the shelf
The bright color is not Accurate so not it is not a good representation
I wished she came with the calm Jean Gray head, But to be really honest, I think she still looks beautiful while looking strong, scary, imposing and threatening with the power of the Dark Phoenix, Even though I don't have her in hand, I will get her along with the retro carded release Longshot, Fantastic review MCUcollector24.
They might release a green version with the calm head later on.
When you were switching the heads it gave me tiny bit anxiety..😬
This wave is amazing! I love it! My least fav is Avalanche but even him I want, still. I prefer this new Phoenix.
Also, I love that you say "Cyclop" without the s in the beginning😁
Great review. Might get 2 & make 1 a Phoenix Rachel Grey using the Black Widow head on the Grey suit/ bomber jacket.
cant wait to get this one. im gonna use Sirens hands on Phoenix, those are much more intense hands that fit her rather than the subtle face Siren came with
Great review! My Dark Phoenix (and Spiral and Wolverine) are currently on their way, but Royal Mail strikes here in the UK have slowed things down, a bit. Can't wait to get them, though!
I like the look of this, but wish it had a little shading on the body. That would really lift it. Some extra fire effects like the ones that The Human Torch and others have would've been great too.
The new body is a big plus for this.
Cant wait for a green and yellow version lol that old phoenix figure was just terrible. Only figure im skipping is multiple man, just recently bought the previous one like that style better than the new one

Nice review. Do you think Hasbro will release/rerelease this (phoenix) figure but in her green suit on a retro cardback as a fan channel exclusive or something? I only ask since they had done it with the retro storm (white suit and then an exclusive black suit version). I know that I’d pick one up for sure.

Please heat up your figures before you change head sculpts....the ball peg can break....
I still love the old Phoenix better. Love the colors and love all 3 Phoenix head sculpts that it came with.
I prefer the darker red and gold. It is more evocative of John Byrne's art and Terry Austin's inks. This works more as an animated version. I am getting this one to use as a Rachel custom.
I love this wave, but I would have preferred Hasbro included alternate heads for Phoenix(Rachel), and Avalanche(full helmet). I know their omission was so they can be sold again to us later, but at the rate we have to wait sometimes, I wish they would have just checked the box and moved on.
I wish the new female bucks had calf swivel or even better an ankle swivel like how Apocalyspe has or figures that are imports like figuarts.
Hey Bryant 👋, I tried ordering the X-Men carded wave from Star Action Figures but ran into technical issues and am waiting for them to assist me. The few figures from wave all show pre-order only on Toy Snowman.
Quality definitely going down but the price still the same slowly rising. Yeah I pre-ordered her as well.

You know what really sucks the original moonstone body was made for more mature female characters like jean, rogue, storm, lady deadpool, domino etc and yet they only used it on a hand full of characters and now we have a new one with modifications made in an unnecessary area (the chest) which results in no budget left to make the legs pinless, ya know the thing you were actually supposed to change. Someone at hasbro clearly does not like accurate in shape female characters. So at this point is there even any point making a new moonstone when your never gonna use it for any other characters?
This figure is fine however the body is wrong especially when you look at the comic and box art, that's when it really sticks out. if they used the original with double elbows added that would've been good enough. Why they didn't keep their word after the thunderbolts boxset success I don't know but I can think of no reason why they would neglect accurate superhero bodies for the gals and not the guys. Like I said someone at hasbro is fishy
The new one is garbage the bright ass colors, the fuzzy ass print paint, the slimming of the body sculpt, the lack of accessories and heads absolutely sticking with my 2 pack version since they actually put effort into that one
Colors are way worse than the OG.
