ok , so hey Wes ! i am here after a long time but one thing that fascinated me and didn't change about your videos was that you made a review in the last and made everything clear like you used to do in your older lessons ..And i love that ...Thankyou so much for all the efforts you make for us .....❤LOVE FROM INDIA
I Stan for interactive English. My boy is always keeping it 💯. He’s extra with his explanations never basic. So he passes the vibe check. And his videos live rent free in my head it’s kinda sus. But I feel bujee when I can remember new words I learned so that I’m not a simp in life.
I believe part of "based" is also as an ironic opposite of debased (meaning low quality, less valuable). The joke (and a lot of these slang phrases start off as jokes) is that "de-" used as a prefix often refers to having less of a certain quality (think "defrost", "descend", "deactivate"), and so simply removing the prefix from debased would logically make "based" mean "higher quality", even though that's not really how the de- prefix works. A "based opinion" would therefore be one that is of higher quality and more truthworthiness. This doesn't mean you can use debased as an opposite to based though, they're very different words. Slang is tricky.
Yes I got a lot friends using these kinds of slangs and memes like that but I was kinda outdated. I know they stems from social media, mostly genz's, but I cant even keep up to date with them. I already downloaded Reddit, Twitter but I dont know exactly how to keep updated, like follow specific subs, pages, my newsfeed is extremely dull n boring with dead and old memes, which really bores me. any suggestions
Keep showering us by those expressions and idioms , I really enjoy learning them with you and no, you're not a simp and I am gonna keep it 💯 what you are presenting is not basic.
I often come to your videos to admire your likeable handsomeness. Your smile is warm and sincere and your speaking voice gives the impression we've known each other for years though we haven't met.
@@InteractiveEng Don't mention it professor. I'll be always watching your videos, they're so cool. Perhaps, because of the way you teach and explain everything. I appreciate American's accent .
I'm believing in that there are so many interactive English stans. So do I.😊🌻 I'm so glad that I've been jumping on the interactive English wagon since last year. I was hesitating to learn Advanced English but I'm glad that I went for it. Now, I've been enjoying to watch my favorite Tv drama "criminal minds" and reading books of Agatha Christie in English .Thanks a lot , Wes✨
I know it was uploaded like 5 months ago, but thank you so much for this video! 😄 It was really fascinating, especially with the fact I use a lot (if not most) of these words on a daily basis without really thinking about it 😅
Keeping it 💯 and not being so extra, and simp or sus, you can live your life beautifully. In this way, your life can be basic , but you can make a boujee friend to hang on with. Thanks a lot , after learning from you I became stan of this channel. 😊❤ and your each sentence will live rent free in my head
I have no doubt that I have become a true blue Wes stan after following his channel for a while. I am gonna keep it one hundred and say that you are always uber not extra. Calling you a simp or basic is a crime. Hence you can live rent-free in my head....! ❤
I just started watching your videos and it is really interesting and useful. Thank you for the effort you put in it. I appreciate it. Now I can truly say that I am interactive English stan.
American slang is completely different to British slang. I i use word rent free and based haha that only words i use from us slang. Only formal American words i use is truck insted of lorrie. In the uk we use dilect slang in the area you are from for example if you'rei n Devon you would say "were you too". In some area be like "hay what you saying" that's like asking how you feel or hows day been.
In the US we do the same thing. Floridians have different slang from New Yorkers and New Yorkers have different slang from people from Philly and so on and so on.
At the risk of sounding rude, but as a card carrying member of the Gen X delegation, "SIMP" is a Gen X term at least. Sir Mix A Lot - Baby got back - skip to time 2:16. We just didn't really use it but we should get an honorable mention on that word.
This is a guy 24 years of age. I had been writing to an American friend over the years of my high school & middle school (2012-2017). We had never used these terms 😂. Of course, these are excellent a recipe for failing a university essay! 😂
