    *FYI:* Horikoshi also mentioned in an interview before that the moment of kid Izuku playing with his mom Inko was inspired from playing like that in his childhood with his mom. He said he cried when he wrote that scene.

    Also not a spoiler but in a volume extra for this arc Horikoshi says Deku is wearing 4 Mid Gauntlets. Two are on his legs.

    Someone had to explain to me why he's called "Grand". In Japanese the onomatopiea for rumbling and tremors is "gura gura" (think Whitebeard from One Piece). So his name in Japanese "Grando" mimics that sound.

    The focus yet hasn't been on what Deku thinks of AFO, but yeah he probably hates him more than Shigaraki. Seeing as at least has some empathy for Shigaraki (while still maintaining he won't forgive him for what he's done). But with AFO has no room to empathize with. lol

  • @Kaempfdog
    @Kaempfdog Рік тому +3

    And here we go. It’s the start of Deku’s exhausted state. Deku has been through SO much and he firmly places it all on his shoulders…and honestly the pro heroes would have likely done the same anyhow. Deku has been exposed to every emotional trauma you can imagine and it’s worn him down more, and more, and more. ESPECIALLY for the war and after. For Empaths we have a unique strain that has started to appear. Can any of you hear how unemotional he is? The last time we saw him like this was the Overhaul arc and his concern for Eri overloaded him til he was unresponsive. That’s an EARLY stage. These are all EARLY stages we’ve seen so far. Imagine what happens as time goes on in this state. I’ll explain more in-depth later but keep in mind today isn’t Deku at his best, he’s quite frankly much closer to his WORST.
    This is the fight I got inspiration to look into Deku’s OFA development. No quirk should just OUTCLASS 100% OFA which has charged for nearly 200 years. Especially not what we’ve seen All-Might do with it from exploding cities and changing weather. That applies to Muscular’s muscle augmentation, and applies to Grand’s Vibrate. If it really is that great, AFO would’ve taken muscle augmentation the moment he came across Muscular in the jailbreak.
    And while I DO understand people saying Muscular was heavily weakened by Grand, it’s not in a way that would effect an impact from a LESS THAN HALF FULL SMASH OFA. Deku needed MORE than 100% to beat him last time. I normally tell people his 1,000,000% punch in season 3 was 125% to match the doctor’s hysterical strength calculation because there’s NO WAY body limiters restrain exploded bone and skin. 100 is 100. Not 80. (He tells Deku the human body uses 80% of its abilities consciously with body limiters in the way and 100% in crisis.) Stockpile by nature has been increasing its power CONSTANTLY over the holders lifespans otherwise there would never be a point AFO and OFA become equals. And I doubt it ever decreases BECAUSE the holders maintain their quirk factors and consciousness OVER A CENTURY later. So I use the doctor’s explanation and gave him the same boost for 125. HERE it’s VERY different. Deku only needed 45%. Torn muscles or no, they would still provide MORE than enough cover. And as we see THIS episode Deku is bounding around not unlike All-Might over MUCH greater distances. Not just with float. Each of Deku’s levels increase every other one of Deku’s previous levels because his stockpile grows. And I still whole heartedly believe he used MUCH more than he used against Muscular previously. I still hold Deku’s 100% should be 9x greater than it was in season 1-2 because his control is 9x greater, and he’s using 45% of THAT. 405 of 900. This would provide AMPLE power to not just be stronger but FASTER than Muscular. Deku IS approaching his master’s power. But not the full force.
    All-Might had ALL the info from Deku’s vestige meeting, but much of it I suspect he at the very least had to have strong suspicions. That means there are 2 sources of OFA. And since we know what the prime of OFA did to AFO’s face…we can all pretty much figure as AMAZING as Deku is physically…none of that can be compared to the 2 biggest moves in MHA. And neither were even on screen. They are whatever All-Might did to AFO’s face, and whatever AFO did to All-Might’s internal organs. Even over Shigaraki’s decay which IS deadlier, but since he’s only at 75%, I doubt it’s as big as it could have been. Deku is approaching injured All-Might. I just have no doubts. And All-Might must retain the rest. Shigaraki no quirks is a little weaker than Injured All-Might. They show the comparison to the 1st Nomu fight. The time we LEARNED All-Might is a fraction of his best. I have no doubt Deku will one day receive the power and surpass it. It’s the nature of OFA. And Deku with the prime, will be the perfect opponent 50-50 vs full power Shigaraki. That’s what this builds to. I figured all this out BECAUSE of this fight with Muscular how Deku must develop in order to have such an INCREDIBLE boost in performance.
    Also I want to make my final quirk accusation of All-Might right here right now. Sadly it CAN be discounted more than I would’ve liked but it still works EXACTLY the same. All-Might awakened the 6th’s smokescreen. I know it’s purple for Deku. And I know it’s white for All-Might. I want you to side by side how they are animated coming off their bodies. It is IDENTICAL. It leaks off of them. And All-Might used it to cover his transformation. And FAR more smoke appears when All-Might is scared of getting caught. It’s used nearly EXACTLY the same. And before you discount this entirely for the color difference, I’ll point to All-Might’s yellow OFA lightning when he’s about to use the United States of Smash in season 3. Looks EXACTLY the same as Deku’s OFA lightning, just a different color. Used EXACTLY the same. I wish it looked exactly the same, because I would’ve LOVED to see it create proper foggy conditions which is a VERY underrated weather condition. But it seems the quirk/quirks color swap between holders. So this is the full arsenal I predict All-Might had. Prime of OFA, and the 4th, 6th, and 7th quirk. He is quirkless, so all the conditions are in place for All-Might to have awakened quirks as well. Deku is going to awaken ALL of them, he’s going to surpass All-Might, and he has a much more in-depth vestige encounter than All-Might. Deku is still the prodigy student who will blow away all our expectations as the ultimate underdog. But so long as there are 2 known sources of OFA, we can’t guarantee Deku has everything yet. But he will.
    I would ordinarily explain more emotional nuance as well, but quite frankly ALL of my attention these chapters lands on OFA. (And Deku’s deteriorating emotional state.) I love the rest of this episode and it’s emotions do NOT get me wrong. I REALLY wanted to explain why I made the theory I did because as complicated as it is, it is actually the simplest answer I can see that actually accounts for every crazy phenomena because OFA is CRAZY complicated. It just CAN’T be interpreted as straight-forward based on the rules the show has provided us. It’s not possible for Deku to start from Prime All-Might and build off it, and based on the INSANE progression, it’s not 1% at a time. So here’s my full OFA theory in the replies which I’ll copy/paste and edit to account for the new info like always.

    • @Kaempfdog
      @Kaempfdog Рік тому +1

      Here’s the full OFA theory for context. And I kinda have to split it in 3 parts so it can be digested. This is where I scale All-Might and the general rules of OFA.
      OFA is obviously INCREDIBLY complex. And figuring out how it evolves is unlike any other superpower especially since not even the previous holders have figured out how it works entirely yet. So here’s what we know. When it is passed, the torch burns brighter and hotter. (No context when that happens though.) The power itself shows no sign of decline EVER yet the users always decline in health when using it beyond personal limitations. (This killed the 4th holder of old age.) And it has to time itself convenient for the show and it not run its potential.
      So what I can safely rule out is mastering 1% at a time, it does not start from All-Might’s power and build off of it, and I have to prove that the stockpile acts differently than it seems. (I can now actively disprove both 1% at a time and starting from All-Might Power.)
      So first I have to scale All-Might. There are only 2 lines that give away how strong All-Might’s stockpile was. 1 was in season 2 when he told Deku that he could only use 5% of OFA from what he saw right before his 1st fight with Shinso. Now you’d think he was talking about 5% full cowling he gets soon after. But since all Deku had displayed was 100% at that point, he was referring to what All-Might had passed to Deku. (And we can assume he could only pass his injured 100% since it was post injury.) Or injured All-Might’s maximum. So that means injured All-Might is 2000% to Deku’s initial 100%. Which checks considering Deku actually launched an attack that HAD to be greater than his usual 5% in his fight with All-Might with Bakugo. Red veins, giant wind current the whole shebang. (And that implies a VERY high amount. 20% or more) And all it did was make All-Might move his head to the side. No bruise no nothing. The fact All-Might ends that fight without a scuff on his CLOTHES OR FACE is very telling. Had Deku started from prime All-Might level and was only using 5% of it, he would be TRIPLE Injured All-Might. So it’s NOT possible Deku is on the spectrum of the prime. (And Deku can’t change weather even in the sky so he must be weaker than his master.)
      And then we scale Prime All-Might. Who was 60x stronger in his prime. (5 hits to the 300 mighty blows line.) And that is not an exaggeration because of his AFO fight. His prime knocked off AFO’s face and put him through COUNTLESS surgeries for 6 years. His United States of Smash as iconic as it was, was nothing more than a bruise on AFO’s cheek, and AFO was unconscious for no more than a few minutes. And since that is literal, Prime All-Might is at a whopping 120,000%. And since All-Might likely went into hysterics in season 3 for that punch, and it was beyond his 100% to 125%. Hysterical strength level is 125% according to the doctor because the stockpile is not apart of their bodies and therefore not 80% to 100% and also how Deku used it against Muscular. (Also not sure what body limiters are in the way when your skin and bone blows right off your arm if you don’t have full control.) Plus levels beyond 100% exist, it’s the nature of stockpile, one of the two powers MEANT to have more than 100% with the equal AFO. That means his prime still exists in his body. And OFA didn’t give out, but his body was no longer able to handle its use anymore. Both explaining All-Might’s time limit and why he still holds his muscle form now. (AND him being able to STILL receive OFA information after retiring.) His body is just too trashed to manage OFA now.
      So now I had to find a system to get Deku to 2000% from his 100% at a steady pace. And I came up with Deku’s 100% must grow as much as his maximum control. Which just so happened to fit PERFECTLY. Both with collateral compensating, and still following the rules of OFA.
      This is where it’s going to get complicated. XD

    • @Kaempfdog
      @Kaempfdog Рік тому +1

      This is the 2nd part and it’s where I scale Deku across the show.
      So scaling Deku’s progression all starts from his building destroying punch against Bakugo and Iida in Season 1. He COMPLETELY hollowed out that office training building.
      So when he moved from 0% control to 5% full cowling, we can look at what Deku at 5% can do. He couldn’t even bruise hero killer Stain until a VERY conditional punch with Iida help, or Muscular, and barely even freaking Bakugo when he punched him in final exams. His 100% did not increase since he had no control. Also his wall bounces left no trace at all. Also worth noting Deku can fight at any % so long as it isn’t over his max control. Then the only other option is his 100% and hysterical strength.
      Max Control- 5%
      Maximum Output- 100% (Against Todoroki)
      Hysterical Output- 125% (1,000,000% punch against Muscular.)
      And then he made a HUGE collateral jump vs the Bakugo rematch from 5% to 8%. And his moves started getting CRAZY. He could kick clean through walls in the hassakai base. His wall bounces left dents on the Nighteye office walls. (There were no footprints on the floor in that office fight so Deku didn’t have dirty shoes and we hear his shoes squeaking in the fight.) And his 1st 8% axe kick to Bakugo was so fast it left a literal burn on his arm. Not a bruise, not torn skin, it was drawn like Todoroki’s scar. So a burn on a kid with heat resistance as an asset to his quirk.
      5% full cowling now- 8% (5% of 160)
      Max Control- 12.8% (8% of 160 fighting Bakugo and Nighteye)
      Max Output- 160% (8/5=1.6 1.6X100 is 160 and is never seen)
      Hysterical Strength-200% (160X1.25 also never seen)
      And then in the Overhaul fight, he forced his body to 20%. Although it hurt him, his body had no external damage, and the 1st holder said he was controlling 20% even though it still hurt to use it at that level when he told him we are long past the singularity point at the beginning of season 5. His bounces could suddenly destroy the surfaces he bounced off of. A stationary stomp literally made enough collateral to create a crater and uproot enough ground to block Overhaul’s spike creations. And his finger SNAPS at 20% created enough wind pressure to snap right through a full grown tree and blow over several surrounding trees that were equally fully grown when demonstrating for All-Might. (That is already VERY close to Deku’s building hollowing attack in season 1.) and in the AvB arc his finger snaps were generating enough air to literally blast holes in concrete walls and steel pipes.
      5% full cowling now- 20% (5% of 400)
      8% full cowling now- 32% (8% of 400 fighting Shinso)
      Max Control- 80% (20% of 400 fighting Overhaul without Eri)
      Maximum Output- 400% (20/8=2.5 2.5X160=400. This was Infinite 100% with Eri.)
      Hysterical Strength- 500% (400X1.25 never seen or when he takes off Overhaul’s mask. That’s the only time it could’ve happened.)
      And then there is where Deku was in the war arc. I’ll be actively updating this section throughout this season. As I need the scenes animated so I can make judgements on what’s changed.
      5% full cowling now- 45% (5% of 900)
      8% full cowling now- 72% (8% of 900)
      20% full cowling now- 180% (20% of 900)
      30% full cowling- 270% (30% of 900 Bakugo this episode)
      Max Control- 405% (45% of 900 Deku’s point of impact and I assume Bakugo’s gauntlets and what he uses to beat Muscular round 2.)
      Maximum Output- 900% (45/20=2.25 2.25X400=900 and what he has to use on AFO Shigaraki. He breaks his jaw sure, but considering the attacks he had withstood already from Endeavor the damage was actually MORE than it ordinarily would do because the fire would make AFS kinda goopy.)
      Hysterical Strength- 1,125% (1.25X900 and can honestly be made for a case on MANY moves, but I’m going to go with the Texas smash when he pushes Shigaraki’s hand out of the way. Seemed to be bigger there.)
      Taking this path no matter what Deku does, when he masters 100%, he will be at 2000%. I did the math trust me. EXACTLY injured All-Might level. So he should be a bit stronger than Shigaraki no quirks. (Which is said to be a bit weaker than All-Might when he battled the 1st Nomu. The time we LEARN he’s 1/60th of his former strength.) STILL not done.

    • @Kaempfdog
      @Kaempfdog Рік тому +1

      OK! This is the 3rd and final part of the OFA theory. It’s mainly extra details I’ve worked out for the narrative and other facets that complete what I said in the last two.
      Now all that is left is to find out how Deku gets All-Might’s full 120,000% from his prime and moves past it to surpass All-Might as the next holder. And there is only one solution.
      All-Might is a flaming vestige and OFA is always described as a raging inferno. (And noticeably still in the vestige world which fits since he can’t use it.) And the man who looks like a walking inferno in OFA likely has the vast abundance. All-Might still has his muscle form. Signs shown All-Might has to have the prime. (All-Might has a throne in OFA just like everyone else in the vestige world, yet Deku doesn’t. And since everyone is clear, the clarity is the control since they all mastered 100% and Deku is covered in LESS fog but about 55% of his body is covered 45% is uncovered, and the throne is the prime.) So my guess is Deku will not have access to prime All-Might power until All-Might dies. Becoming a full vestige and FINALLY transferring the remainder. And since Deku had already mastered 100% presumably at that point, he will IMMEDIATELY be able to access and use the rest with no recoil. And since Deku has the stockpile ability, nothing is stopping Deku to simply stockpile past that. Which I presume he stockpiles whenever he is using full cowling. At the same rate as before. Won’t do the math here at this point but let’s keep the numbers tidy and say maximum power Prime OFA Deku will end at 150,000%. But there is no limit to the stockpile once 100% is mastered and that is when it is on par with AFO. Since both have limitless potential.
      I believe All-Might will get one last hurrah with OFA in his prime to show us what Deku will surpass courtesy of Eri. (Who just HAS to exist for that purpose.) And he will fight AFO’s true body who will also get to Eri for his prime to show us what Shigaraki is surpassing. (AFO can’t steal rewind as that is FAR too broken for the narrative.) And as a one and done All-Might and AFO should fittingly kill each other and BOTH boost their successors to their maximum potentials. Just spit balling for Shigaraki. There’s not much room for possibility there, he needs to learn how to combine quirks better to master his potential I’m pretty sure.
      Also few things I missed. I believe All-Might as a quirkless OFA holder had access to other quirks. Wording from his denial, and how the other vestiges talk about completion tells me there was another attempt for it to become completed. And I think All-Might unlocked 3 quirks. The 4th, the 6th, and the 7th quirk. The fact All-Might knows the next quirk Deku will awaken is Nana’s when the 5th quirk awakened last is VERY suspect. Because there is NO signal to believe it will go 5th quirk, then the 7th. So my guess is All-Might had this one. He also had an in-depth vestige encounter with Nana from the look of it in season3. Smokescreen is the most obvious one despite the different color. And danger sense fits his feat of stopping organized crime REALLY well and he found the 4th holder based on a 2nd hand description of the 5th. Which he did NOT know at all, but he found the hermit holder no problem. That’s…not feasible in the slightest without knowing who he was in advance.
      Also an extra quirk is used at the same level as max control. Blackwhip caused the same collateral level as Deku’s finger snaps when it went out of control in season 5, and it’s why Uraraka isn’t dead halfway in season 5. Deku will need all the quirks MASTERED rather than just unlocked for him to stand a chance against 100% AFO Shigaraki. AND have the prime which will HAVE to be improved in Deku’s possession for the torch to grow brighter and hotter analogy to come true. Y’know for any inevitable 1v1 Super saiyan Goku vs 100% Freeza fight in the finale of the show.
      And also every time that Deku progresses his % control, his bone damage lessens. When at 5% he went 20x his limitations to use 100%, but now that he’s 45% he’s only going only a little over twice his limitations. Which fits the doctors explanation after he wakes up from his OFA coma.
      I think that sums up my thoughts of OFA. You need to remember EVERYTHING in the show to truly understand this power because it is BONKERS complicated and everyone thinks it’s simple. And as nuts as it is ALREADY, it’s STILL not done getting complicated as there are STILL more quirks to be seen and added to this!

    Not everything the OP has is accurate for what will happen, some stuff is more symbolic than literal and some stuff might not really happen at all as visual shows. lol

      FYI manga reader context (spoilers):
      I mean that fight in OP with Shigaraki fighting Iida, Todoroki, and Bakugo doesn't happen. lol Uraraka part isn't that she literally finds Deku first, but symbolically last crucial piece to actually "save" Deku.

      Spoiler….
      I might be wrong but the person that was stretching out of the black and white goop I think was supposed to represent the recent hero commission leader lady that was killed by re destro.
      Maybe it’s supposed to represent the commission’s failure to establish a long term trust between society and its heroes and all of their demons being brought to light through the state of the world as well as Nagant airing the truth to Izuku
      Idk tho, just an analysis on some stuff that they have been kinda poking at.
