Totally forgot to ask this in the video- What are some items you would like to be in the room you’re staying in as a guest? (Like a fluffy robe, extra blankets, etc)
Robe, pretty air freshener, hamper is a good idea, maybe placed in the closet, lots of extra hangers, fresh flowers-yup I do this for my guests, it's all in the little details that makes it intentional!
I always like to have a glass of ice water on my nightstand through the night. I wake up at night and my throat is always so dry. I also appreciate a fan because you know, menopause! 😁 Between the two paint colors you have, I like them both! I just painted my master bathroom with Behr’s Granite Dust. To me, it looks like a light taupey grey. Our master bedroom is currently a little darker then the first color you showed. I’m ready to lighten the room up so I’m painting it the same color as our bathroom. You have a lot of natural light, so either color would be nice. I’d consider what kinds of pictures, rugs and other decor you are planning to use. I really like how you trimmed out the windows. Can’t wait to see how this room turns out! 🙂
A night stand close enough to reach from the bed, large enough to place a glass, the tv remote, and multiple devices - a convenient place to plug them in...wifi code clearly visible...
i am a new viewer to your channel, although i have made a couple of comments on a couple of your vids, can i just say, i do like how you are teaching us with your knowledge and not using your clevage to entertain us like some youtubers do. Jealous at some of the tools you have, helps having a hubby in the trade.
Thanks! My husband isn’t actually in this business. All of the tools are mine- that’s my present every birthday/Mother’s Day/Christmas (collected over time).
I stumbled across your channel tonight and I have been binge watching for the last couple of hours. I am so impressed and inspired. Can’t wait to watch more! How did you learn how to do all this is my question?!! 🥰
Welcome! Thanks so much for watching! This is definitely my most asked question. I have a q&a video where I talk about how I got into diy- ua-cam.com/video/Bsa1Kp51r-c/v-deo.html
I think the room will be gorgeous no doubt when its complete, I really loved Jogging Path paint color and with the beautiful light that this room gets, I think it will be incredible.
I like that you show the nitty gritty physical details clearly, like cutting methods and removing caulk etc. Many try and zip past these critical bits and leave anyone watching with a very partial and false sense of what is needed- especially if they are inspired to do the same work themselves! So thank you
I have accessible beige throughout my entire house it's a great color pulls gray undertones at night while beige during day. But with the brighter white on top I like the jogging path color better.
I have the accessible beige; it changes color in light. Sometimes its beiger sometimes more grey. I actually liked the other color you put on the trim. Hooks are nice as a guest. I also saw a great idea of a Luggage stool to put luggage on and open the case.
Kelsey, I just found your site! I am so excited to watch you do your thing!! You are sooo talented & explain everything so I can learn from you!! I love your simplicity about sprucing up a home & your simple ideas that make such a HUGE statement!! Thanks so much & I’ve enjoyed you so much!🥰🥰
Love the window frames, it elevates the character of the room. I believe that Jogging Path will create a tranquil feeling and your Guests may not want to leave.😊 Can't wait to see the next video.
Accessible Beige!!! It is my FAVORITE color by SW!! I put it in my whole home and office at work! It is the perfect greige! It leans warm/beige in warmer/darker lighting and light/gray in cooler/natural lighting. It's so subtle and seriously so beautiful!!! It seriously would be so beautiful as a neutral on trim and doors in your room!!!!!
Looking really good so far Kelsey. A TV is a MUST in a guest room & only other thing I'd like is a living plant. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Definitely Jogging Path! Accessible Beige reads more like a boring "builder grade" color to me. Probably because when I moved in to our new home, that's what was on every single surface! I couldn't wait to change it! Love the new window casings!!
Look at the color called crisp cotton for your walls by valspar, and the jogging path is very relaxing color. For your accent wall and trim. Crisp cotton is a light color as well not a white like I thought you might like them together as well.
Agreeable gray is a wonderful griege...I have it throughout my house. Never going with any other neutral. Lol love your visions and the way you make the work seem so effortless. Great job as always I am constantly excited about your videos..and sad when they end..lol can't wait for the next part!
The bedroom is looking great! I can't wait to see it all completed. I like both colors and I know what ever one you chose it will look amazing! I hope you have a great week!
I love accessible beige! I have it in the main areas of my house, it’s the perfect warm grey color that doesn’t pull green or blue! Whatever you pick will look great though. 😊
I really like both colors, but I think for a guest room, the Jogging Path is the prettier option since you have the trees outside. I love the trim update. I added that look to my windows & doors & they look so much better now. As far as things to put in a guest room, this might sound "extra" but I'd put one of those mini coolers/fridge that holds like 6 drinks. When I visit my son, if I get thirsty in the middle of the night, I'll just suffer through it because I don't want to wake them or the dog. If not, at least place some room temp waters in there for them. If they're traveling via plane, ask them if there's anything they're not able to bring that you could pick up for them, etc. I leave a fan in my guest room closet because some people like to have that "white noise" to fall asleep to. looking forward to the next video!
I love the window framing! It added so much to the overall aesthetic of the room. Thank you for showing us these things can make BIG differences ! I've never heard of jogging path, and I thought I'd seen all the greiges! I love it!!! ❤
You are remarkable! Looks so good! I like both of these colors. I used As. Beige all over my last 2 homes. But the Jogging Path is very pretty. On camera it looks a little green and that is very pretty. I know what ever you do will be gorgeous!
Jogging path wins. I used foggy skies by Sherwin Williams, and it is a soft gray/beige. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for giving us details. You make it look easy !!! I really enjoy your channel.
I love Accessible Beige, I used it in my boys' rooms and the guest room. Lol. Another nice neutral color is Pale Oak by BM, but it might be a little too light.
Girl you good! Im so intimidated but you just jump in and solve problems on the go 😅. I vote that you go with the Green undertones for sure. Cant wait for the reveal.
I think jogging path look better. I cant wait to see the room is complete. I would love to have soft light, fluffy robe, extra blanket, and compact refrigerator with bottled water and some snacks. I have a question to ask, does the guest room has its own bathroom?
Curious why you didn't turn those closet doors into french doors as well. I vote jogging path for that room. However, I just painted my living room in accessible beige & love it with my wood accent wall painted in Aleutian (a blue).
Here’s a tip when you’re going to pour paint out of the paint can use tape to make a V across the top that way just peel off the tape and none of that paint pouring down the side of your can. Also, if you drill holes in the lip of the can the paint can drain back into the can.
Totally forgot to ask this in the video-
What are some items you would like to be in the room you’re staying in as a guest? (Like a fluffy robe, extra blankets, etc)
I like a hamper. Even when I don't do laundry, I like to keep it separate from my suitcase until I have to leave.
I like to sleep with a fan on. A hamper was also a great idea!
Robe, pretty air freshener, hamper is a good idea, maybe placed in the closet, lots of extra hangers, fresh flowers-yup I do this for my guests, it's all in the little details that makes it intentional!

I like the paint with the green undertone
Same here 😊

I like "Jogging Path". The one with the green undertones.
Jogging Path has my vote.
The green one
Jogging path for sure! 😊 Love all the window trim, gives it a much higher-end look. Can’t wait for pt. 2!
Green undertone looks lovely! Can’t wait to see more of your talent come alive! Your guest will be impressed!!
the one one the trim
I like the color jogging path. I always have fresh flowers in my guest's bedroom.
Love that!
Great job on the window sills. They look like the window on my 1920s craftsman home.
Thank you!
I stumbled across your channel tonight and I have been binge watching for the last couple of hours. I am so impressed and inspired. Can’t wait to watch more!

For the paint, I think the one with the green undertones would be beautiful! Very soothing color!
I love the way you changed the windows. I think jogging path is a very pretty and soothing color. Can't wait for next week!
Ooh I love that- “soothing”. That’s a good word for the feeling I’m going for.
Jogging path is so nice!
I like jogging path. Very pretty. Love the character you added to the window.
I think the room will be gorgeous no doubt when its complete, I really loved Jogging Path paint color and with the beautiful light that this room gets, I think it will be incredible.
It really does get the best light! Thanks for the input!
You have proved once again, that we should never throw anything away. 😊
I love your channel, so glad UA-cam recommended it to me.
Haha! I never want to get rid of anything! My poor garage.
Jogging Path is beautiful !
Love your woodworking idea's here AND in the kid's bedroom makeovers! Thank YOU for giving me the added boost to get moving in my own home!!!
I like that you show the nitty gritty physical details clearly, like cutting methods and removing caulk etc.
Many try and zip past these critical bits and leave anyone watching with a very partial and false sense of what is needed- especially if they are inspired to do the same work themselves!
So thank you
Thank you! I try to present a project realistically so people have an accurate idea of the project before they decide to do it.
I'm really loving the jogging path for the accent! 💚
I have accessible beige throughout my entire house it's a great color pulls gray undertones at night while beige during day. But with the brighter white on top I like the jogging path color better.

Home renovation...how to paint a room.. is the best description of how to do the job right.
I like the paint with the green undertones. Think it will look nice with the white walls

Green undertone for the win! 😊
So smart and independent woman! Love it❤
Great job! About the paint, my personal choice would be Jogging Path...
Definitely Jogging Path!
Jogging Path is such a pretty color!
Jogging path is my favorite.
Love the window frames, it elevates the character of the room. I believe that Jogging Path will create a tranquil feeling and your Guests may not want to leave.😊 Can't wait to see the next video.
Thank you!
Definitely the second paint choice! That little bit of green is lovely
Jogging I like the subtle green undertones and the other one reminds me of everything 1990s
🤣🤣🤣
Accessible Beige!!! It is my FAVORITE color by SW!! I put it in my whole home and office at work! It is the perfect greige! TV going in for sure. Living plant- probably not. I am currently keeping three plants alive and that is a serious record for me 🤣🤣
Like the Jogging Path color...love the green tones
Definitely Jogging Path! Accessible Beige reads more like a boring "builder grade" color to me. Probably because when I moved in to our new home, that's what was on every single surface! I couldn't wait to change it! Love the new window casings!!
Yeah I can totally see that!
Look at the color called crisp cotton for your walls by valspar, and the jogging path is very relaxing color. For your accent wall and trim. Crisp cotton is a light color as well not a white like I thought you might like them together as well.
I really like the green undertone paint.
Jogging path is a favorite. I have used it several times.
So pretty! Makes me want to repaint my kitchen cabinets!
Jogging path is my favorite. 😍
Green undertone. Love it!
Jogging path looks really nice.
I like the paint with the green undertone as well
Jogging Path is really pretty!
Can’t wait to see finished room. Love accessible beige
I’m really into jogging path.. love a green undertone!
I like jogging path...great job, Kelsey!
Jogging Path is gorgeous!
Definitely the one with the green untoned. Loving the window trim.
I like the green toned one too
Accessible beige is my favourite but the green one is lovely too.
Thank you for giving me motivation !
Great job x. Made it look easy. Loving the colour too. X.
Jogging path looks great!
Agreeable gray is a wonderful griege...I have it throughout my house. Never going with any other neutral. Lol love your visions and the way you make the work seem so effortless. Great job as always I am constantly excited about your videos..and sad when they end..lol can't wait for the next part!
Thank you! I love agreeable gray! I used it everywhere in my last house. And I used it on the kitchen cabinets in this house.
Jogging path. Great job on the window trim!
I really like Accessible Beige as a colour but looking at your mood board, Jogging Path is the better fit :D
Thanks for the input! You’re exactly right- I have to consider all of the other elements that will be in the room.
Jogging path!! Trim looks great
The bedroom is looking great! I can't wait to see it all completed. I like both colors and I know what ever one you chose it will look amazing! I hope you have a great week!
Thank you!
I love accessible beige! I have it in the main areas of my house, it’s the perfect warm grey color that doesn’t pull green or blue! Whatever you pick will look great though. 😊
Thank you!
I look forward to your videos. You inspire me to do more to my own home. And you have an eye for a color and style. Keep up the good work.
Love this! ❤️❤️
I like the running path.
I also like to colour with the green undertone
I really like both colors, but I think for a guest room, the Jogging Path is the prettier option since you have the trees outside. I love the trim update. Great ideas! Thank you!
I like the green tone or if you want to do a toasty being. You did green in your daughter's room.
Jogging Path!! My vote 😊
Love the green one. Excited for the next one
I love the window framing! It added so much to the overall aesthetic of the room. Thank you for showing us these things can make BIG differences ! I've never heard of jogging path, and I thought I'd seen all the greiges! I love it!!! ❤
Thank you! I randomly saw the color on Instagram and thought it was beautiful!
I'm glad the sliding doors didn't fit because things like that happen to me ALL the time. Your correction is FABULOUS. 😀
Yep no project ever goes 100% according to plan. Gotta get creative to problem solve!
You are remarkable! Looks so good! I like both of these colors. I used As. Beige all over my last 2 homes. But the Jogging Path is very pretty. On camera it looks a little green and that is very pretty. I know what ever you do will be gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
Jogging path wins. I used foggy skies by Sherwin Williams, and it is a soft gray/beige. Thank you for sharing. And thank you for giving us details. You make it look easy !!! I really enjoy your channel.
Thank you!!
I love Accessible Beige, I used it in my boys' rooms and the guest room. Lol. Another nice neutral color is Pale Oak by BM, but it might be a little too light.
Pale oak is a beautiful color too. Thanks!
I like the green undertones better
Jogging path, definitely 😊
Green tone bar none!!
Girl you good! Im so intimidated but you just jump in and solve problems on the go 😅. I vote that you go with the Green undertones for sure. Cant wait for the reveal.
Thanks so much! I’m much more intimidated by design than the actual demo/building. I’d rather do that than pick a paint color!
Awesome video Kelsey. I love this video.
This room is gonna look great!
The green beige color! The trim really makes the windows look upscale. I love the extra details. From boring to stunning.
Thank you! Such a small change makes a big difference!
Jogging path for sure!
You definitely got a lot done.
Go green !
I just discovered you!! I love your style.
I love it Kelsey, can I ask you what material are the window trims? Sorry I am new to all this and I wanted to update my window!
I love everything you do, you are amazing! I like Jogging Path 😀
Thanks so much!
looks lovely!
I think jogging path look better. I cant wait to see the room is complete. I would love to have soft light, fluffy robe, extra blanket, and compact refrigerator with bottled water and some snacks. I have a question to ask, does the guest room has its own bathroom?
Great ideas! No, unfortunately it doesn’t have its own bath. I would love to add one some day if we decide we want to live here long term.
Another awesome video like aways. You make everything look so easy. Lol your so talented and skilled. Hugs from Santa Fe Texas 🎃🎃
Thank you so much!
Your a pocket rocket! Great job🥰
Thanks!
Love this content! Thanks for the inspiration ❤️
Accessible beige! You’ll have an easier time choosing bedding…
I like the accessible beige
Jogging path! Great video.
Love this! What kind of wood filler do you like to use?
Not super partial to any one brand but I love the ones that are pink and change color as they dry.
Curious why you didn't turn those closet doors into french doors as well. I vote jogging path for that room. However, I just painted my living room in accessible beige & love it with my wood accent wall painted in Aleutian (a blue).
Honestly I just didn’t feel like it 🤣 this is a seldomly used guest bedroom so e closet doesn’t get daily use like my kids’ closet
Here’s a tip when you’re going to pour paint out of the paint can use tape to make a V across the top that way just peel off the tape and none of that paint pouring down the side of your can. Also, if you drill holes in the lip of the can the paint can drain back into the can.
Good to know!
