As a teenager that game was really annoying the hell out of me. I would kill all the aliens, I would kill the Queen and then wander around not knowing what I’m supposed to do next until the time expired! Thanks to your gameplay, I realized that I had to revive the android to make repairs to the EEV. I managed to FINALLY finish that game yesterday (now on my late 30s)! 🙏 (Almost perfect but a few more instructions would have made it more playable)
I used to play this game all the time never could figure out how to beat it. I'm def watching this one from beginning to end! Another great walk-through dude!
Nice work on the playthrough. I love the fact that just about every Alien 3 game basically turned the plot into an AlienS follow up versus what Alien 3 actually was. I very much doubt the EEV could have flown under it's own power, like the ending implies. It was literally an escape pod, no real engines of it's own except for some small nav thrusters. Again, great playthrough. I was never able to get very far in this game. Had no idea what the Hell to do or where to go.
I remember having thi game on one of these 52 games in one cartridge thingies . I usually just goofed around until the aliens attacked and killed everyone lol...maybe because i had no idea wtf i'm doing
Loved this game as a kid. Using the map item was key to see the amount of aliens, kill all the eggs (flamethrower only) and the aliens stop reproducing. Before that I'd just shoot everything and run out of ammo. The last fan section leading to the leadworks was a nightmare.
I loved this game as a kid. Alien 3 had some great gameplay mechanics --exploring the complex open world environment, collecting keys and instruments to access new areas, backtracking, managing inventories etc. This video brings back a lot of memories!
I had this game also ...how the hell should anyone figure all this stuff happening.there by themselves ? I was 10 when i got this game ...and had no possibility to use the internet
Great video! I'm taking my Alien 3 and Alien vs Predator this year for my skateboarding camp by the lake, so it would be a great fun to spend evenings solving all the puzzles of Alien 3
glad i stumbled across this video. i got as far as the final fight with the queen when i was a kid but couldn't figure out how to defeat her. nice to see the ending. thanks for making the video!
Man as a 9 or 10 y.o. kid, being a huge fan of the films, I really wanted this game. Now that I've seen the actual game play, I'm so glad I got the SNES version of alien 3 and the game boy version of Terminator 2.
So frustrating that this game is so close to being great. I even like having limited lives, it really keeps you on your toes, makes you scared of the aliens and encourages managing your resources. If only fans and electricity didn't kill you in one hit... Maybe they could bounce you back or at the very least not suck you into them. With that and maybe a quick save/password system and this could've been a hidden gem
Good to know after all these years, that I wasn't too stupid as kid but the game was way to difficult. I guess you need to be a master mind to complete the game especially under this kind of pressure (aliens are everywhere).
I complet the game when i was a kid... remember some level struktures but i dont now i would complett the game now... i remember so many try and error. But i have good time with this game
@@Quiras2same. I had it it on a cartridge that also contained 40 other games. I was too young to have seen the Alien movies so I didn’t have any context to what was going on, so I didn’t get very far
"Did they see the movie? She never leaves the planet, she drops herself into the fire and dies just as the last alien hatches from her chest. It's the thing anybody would remember best from the movie!" -James Rolfe.
@Bobbie Holbrook It is indeed a rewrite of the plot but in the original movie there was only one alien and no weapons other than knives and such so I don't mind that the plot was altered in the game.
I have some Gameboys and Gameboy game's but this one kinda sucks cause at the beginning I cant get out of there D: didn't even watch this vid but now that I see it maybe I can figure it out

This did have an annotation commentary explaining everything, but UA-cam got rid of the annotation feature years ago.
@@silverwings21 sorry my criticism in the parenthesis was not meant for your great walkthrough. It was meant for the game creators. Thanks again!

Your comment sums up my own experiences pretty much. Though this game is rather fascinating, don't you think?
It was not easy

As a kid I thought this game should be called “Walk around and die” because that was all I could manage as long as I played it. 😅
I never finished this game as a kid. Thank you for showing game play and finishing it, so i dont ever have to lol

I played this game and i finished it in my childhood.
Anyone else? ;)
A yeah that time in the movie where the Alien queen got stuck on a corner trying to walk to Ripley.
Dude this game looks freakin amazing for a gameboy game
Bishop wires the EEV to fly to Gateway at the end? That's actually quite awesome.
Epic. I was 5 or 6 i guess. I was so close to finished it
I don't understand why Ripley takes damage. In the movie the Alien would not harm her. Good game though. I played the heck out of it as a kid.
I had this game. I love the way you put it together.
Thanks.
This is actual survival horror on the game boy.
Same here, now thirty some years i finally know what to do!

Everyone looks like an engineer from Prometheus.
Also, I don’t like how the engineers REALLY look.
I wish they stayed as big Elephant people.
+The Animated Geek
Me too, the comics and Aliens: Infestation got it right and had them stay as Elephant people.

I take it you heard the song in the video from the credits from Aliens infestation?
Lt. Ellen Poochy died while on her way to her home planet.
I was really excited as a kid to play this game and it just turned into a gigantic where the f*** do I go
Ah yes the game that ruined many a youth, including mine. Good stuff.
Watching this as nimrods plan to storm Area 51 tomorrow...
the xenomorphs in this s even look a lot like the deacon just with a tail

Did anyone ever figure out what the KNIFE was for?
Wow doom3 for gameboy looking cool!
This game could’ve been pretty good if it was more self explanatory on what to do.
you can get the impuls rifle M40 :-)
You do get a rifle, I forget which.

You have to kill them all to beat the game.
