That leveling hydraulic thing is one of those inventions that makes u think why nobody was thinking of that earlier....great, I hope that inventor makes a ton on money and buys esysmam a Riva.
Indeed. Especially the idea of a stabilised wine store given good red wines tend to have sediment, or can just alter the characteristics of a wine if it is being sloshed around. That can also be used to artificially "age" whisky where wood chips are added to whisky barrels and then gently shaken.
I love that stable, what a brilliant idea. The Rivas are beautiful, Id love a Florida 88 as a chase boat. And yes Damen are super fussy with their media stuff, I dont really understand the secret squirrel stuff they do when guys like Alexi have embraced UA-camrs and done extremely well. Thank you for bringing us the yacht show
I was looking seriously at an Amels 50 but that type of behavior is a red flag for me. I hate snobbery. I think the Hallberg-Rassy just went to the top of my list.
Ask the people at Riva how you might go about getting one of the tables you liked. I just looked on Ebay and there are a few Riva tables, yet I'm not certain if they are from the same Italian company and they are not quite the design as the ones in Monaco. They sell for $300. Also listed are two beautiful Chris Craft wooden tables - not bistro tables - which are nice and sell for around $800 - $1,100. Last suggestion: call up an antique shop in Monaco and ask them if they ever get a Riva table to sell.
Once again, a brilliant tour around the show that, let's face it, most of us would never get anywhere near. My favourite bit has to be the beautiful Riva Special which you showed us around. I liked it so much I find my hand, and pen, hovering over my cheque book, just how much do I have to fill the cheque in for? I wish!
Very interesting interaction with Damen yacht. I was at the show and booked appointments to view some yachts. When I showed up to one the guy wouldn't let me on thinking I was lying. It wasn't until my broker showed up did I get on. The guy apologized profusely.
I'm pretty sure displacement and power scale with area. To picture this think of the length of a teeter-totter. These stabilization platforms act like inverse teeter-totters, so the larger the area (or length) means there will be more movement at the perimeter (or ends).
I have a German friend who built his own teak yacht. He took years to build it. It's nowhere near as big as these yachts but it's beautiful, so anything is possible!
Agreed. Don’t worry Sysman. We won’t be buying from her company any time soon. We’ve been kicked out of finer places LOL. When you are in the US, I’ll have your 6.
Agreed, there's nothing quite like an Aquarama, truly beautiful boats, and yeah I'd have one in my tender garage too. I've noticed your model one over the years and I also have one that I built from a kit. 😘

I got to thinking…why not put an entire deck of a yatch on one of those stabilizer? Sure, lots of engineering but I’m sure it can be done. Also love how every year you talk about the Riva. Makes me want one too. Thanks for another great video. You’re like a good friend I’ve never met. 😆
The leveling system is really clever although if you use the bed keep your eyes shut otherwise there will still be an incongruity between your vision and your inner ear so you'll still get sea sick.
Good on you to give information about the various large motor boats! Would be great if could also look at the top sailing boats. Really interested in seeing that category

Just yesterday I exchanged comments with some experiences that showed how wrong judgemental and snobbish attitude doesn't pay in the end. Being looked down due to appearance doesn't always mean unaffordability.
Interestingly, they are now making stabilized beds. Back in the days of wooden ships and iron men, they used hammocks as stabilized bunks. When we were writing the specifications for a new class of tankers we took a vote of the crews as to arrangement of the crew's cabin regarding the orientation of the beds, either fore and aft or athwartship. The crew voted for the port/starboard orientation. We also placed the beds so there was access on three sides. All beds were full-sized 54" wide x 75" long (1.37m x 1.90m).
Keep all the super yachts I want the Riva It's my dream boat if I win the euro The one to have is Aqurama special The stern if different and looks so nice About £700 thousand 😢 Did spot you have a model in your office That particular special that your showing is a later one because the steering wheels were like an American 60s style wheel That boat has a later leather wheel Not as nice as earlier wheel's But this be honest I'd stil have that boat in a heat beat
Toulilo Abate runabout in 1986 made a great boat with two Lamborghini engines. I drome one in Ft Lauderdale.. To test for the importer. Incredible....so sexy.
Frauscher also offers a stabilizer as an option for their boats, it stabilizes the whole boat as a unit. A colleague of mine who works there insists that every customer of theirs should get that option, due to how flat it stays in the test pool with workers jumping on it. And i"m sure they"d love to do one with the hull veneered with the wood of esysman"s choice.
Love ❤ that leveling platform - may be I could use it the other way araound: shaking slowly while staying in a safe harbour. Helps me falling asleep nicely. 😂😊
Starlink. It has become so popular that ALL Seabourn Cruise Line ships now have Starlink. With Starlink being so inexpensive compared to the other, Seabourn offers at no cost to cruisers.
This channel has outdanding content, congratulations!!! I just subscribed to help you grow the channel so you can buy a riva and no rep. will ever throw you out of a booth.
Thank you for this great report, what a show ! Very interesting to hear you on innovation & technolgies on super yachts....Riva is a very nice old brand but always trendy....on the sea. 😉
Hey up sysman was about to mention tyrrell and Lamborghini Riva trip was a good video of his. Riva make such a beautiful timeless boat just gorgeous thanks also for your great reporting
So they should make the Deck fully stabilised, and when people are pissed turn it off so that even in rough weather they will walk straight. just don't let the Crew play with it. It would be handy with the TV show "Below Decks"
The telescope platform is interesting. One of the perks of being at sea is the dark skies. But the view through the eyepiece of a telescope can be just a few arc-minutes across at a high magnification with a reasonably portable-sized telescope (max 8-10 inches) on a sturdy mount and tripod. You have to have pretty stable and precise platform to make that work for deep sky objects, especially if you want to take images.
@@YachtReport I saw it in the video!👍Knowing something about operating a telescope, I was wondering about how well the thing was stabilized. Taking a picture of a dim object can require a long exposure.

Really good red wines bruise in the bottle if they bounce around. I was wondering how they handled red wines on a yacht. In the Med, I assumed that they purchased at each location that they stopped at, but what about the Caribbean and South Pacific, where it's a lot of island hopping and access to wines from the DRC and Bordeaux are hard to come by, if at all? That stabilizer is a great solution.

Another suggestion for where to use a Stable platform: under a dining table and chairs. It wouldn't surprise me if you were persona non-grata at ISG, but I can't think of any reasons Amels/Damen would bear a grudge against you? Were they expecting a camera shy buyer?
