My office is my pantry too. I have 3 bookshelves against the wall, and 3 plastic shelves in the closet. I do rotate, but I still vacuum seal some of it because I don’t go through it fast enough. Thank you for saying everybody doesn’t have to do the same thing. As long as we’re stocked and prepped, that’s what matters. Your prepper pantry room looks great!

I've been watching you for a while and following your prep pantry..I totally understand now the mental comfort I have knowing my family is safe if ever necessary. I'm a single mom and I can tell you I'm so happy I follow you. And your lighting looked great thru my phone. God bless you and your family. Just wanted you to know your advice has helped greatly!
Prepper videos are my new addiction but they still amaze me. I'm from the UK and our kitchens are tiny and no attics or basements. We have about 10 tins of food (tomatoes, sweetcorn, kidney beans etc), some pasta, rice and sauces and that's it so a weeks worth of food if needed lol. Everything else is bought as and when needed.. because we just don't have the storage for anymore food. I much prefer it that way as there is no waste and your only buying what you need. There are a million different foods out there. If there is a shortage of one, I will buy another it doesn't worry me. But regardless I still love these videos. Thank you x
I really enjoyed watching how you stocked your pantry. I want to encourage you to add more to it. We don’t know how long the shortages will last. Please shop for more as your money lasts. With prices going up you will be saving money by buying things now. Good luck in your stocking your pantry. We all need to use our wisdom for survival. The world has changed. God bless. 😍
aslong as you have a prepped pantry for say 3 months ahead of yourself ,,be it tinned food ,frozen or canning, your family will be fine incase of another crises,i love seeing the shock of you,as you realise your prepped pantry was so full, espec with you moving etc,,onwards and upwards my lovely xx
Good job! 👌 I totally agree with you on stocking up right now. I see so many doing a pantry challenge for the new year but instead we should be continuing to prep our pantries. I too have a working pantry and I continually use my stock and replenish as we use it. Watching for sales to stock in bulk. 😃
Put extra Support in your basement when storing in your room above. My son the Contractor got after me about having so much weight in the one room, now all my things are in the basement-he built me shelves down there.
This is the first time I've watched one of your videos, and I have to say it was very impressive and inspiring and helpful. I'll definitely be following you in future videos. My situation is completely different from yours, but even a single senior lady needs to prepare! Thanks for sharing your prepping with us.
We are watching local sales and stocking on what local store has that week, because around here, it seems that what comes in some weeks isn't available the next few. Thanks for sharing.
I think we are about to be forced into low spend times. There won't be anything to spend on. I keep adding to mine. 1 for now 2 for later. Thanks. Your pantry looks great.
Thank you! We're blessed to habe a deep prepper pantry too. I'm starting low spend, but we're not doing low spend on food. If anything, we're spending a little more to fill in gaps. We're doing no spend in terms of non essential items. Your pantry looks great! Dont let the nay sayers get to you. If you're using your food by the use by daye there's no reason to vacuum seal it. We only put long term foods in mylar, like wheat berries, rice, pasta, beams etc that we wont use in the next year. We're slowly building our long term storage as we can pick things up cheap. Auguson farms goes on sale on Amazon at times and we'll buy 1-2 cans for long term storage. Today and tomorrow is first priority
For storms. I keep 2 clean garbage cans with lids. And store till needed. Before a storm I fill them and have 60 extra gallons of water. Just make sure tere are no drainage holes in the bottom or wheels where there would be holes. When not in use I keep my storm supplies in them.
i cant deny how scared i was when pandemic started ...n i didn't have food security ...so i got to it ...i now have a deep freeze in my back room n my spare bedroom has a huge bookshelf with bins top n bottom n now i will never look back ... it's so important to have food security ...i use my stock like you n constantly eat n replace n i have 2 apps with all stock levels n dates just as a back up n helps when im shopping n i see something on offer i can check how many i have ...your videos help for sure ☘️☘️
Everyone should also remember that spices never REALLY expire. they have expiration dates on them, but that's only for full flavor and strength. Spices don't go bad in the sense that they arne't safe to eat. If they are expired, you just might have to use a little extra if they have gotten weak. And they don't get as weak as you think, I'm STILL working on a 15 year old bottle of cloves.
We just moved 4 weeks ago and everything was packed up for 3 months. I'd get angry every time I had to go to the store! Lol. But unpacking it, and seeing it all again, was such an amazing feeling. (My pantry is also my office!)
I miss having a prepped pantry! Mine was never this big, but at our new house, I barely have storage and we also had to get rid of our deep freezer. I’d love tips for prepping when you have ZERO space
I have 2 of those shelves filled for emergencies. Not because I'm scared, but because I feel better being prepared and hopefully don't need. If anything happens, I'm happy I can feed my family. Our neighbors know to come here for what they need. ❤️
I try to do a no spend Jan. And Feb. And use my pantry for those 2 MO. That way we have extra monies. For when land taxes, home insurance and car insurance and taxes are all due at the first of the year. It also helps to use up all the older items out of the pantry. And you also can find how well your items fit together for full family meals. Also food tastes change. This helps to use down those less wanted items as well. You are also able to find things that you maybe need to add more of. Doing this helps coming out of the Christmas and New year holidays. And funds may be short.
I know how good you feel to finally get you shelves and food put all back together. I'm glad you have someone to help you learn to can. I did too and it was a game changer for my pantry. Hopefully you can even have a garden to grow some things at this house. I can't remember if you normally have a garden or not.
Hiya, we keep a good stock of all the basics we use on a regular basis then do the same as you and just top up as we use items and buy additional bits to complete the meal, ie some fresh veg or bread. Best wishes from across the pond. Xx

Really nice job! May I suggest getting steel shelving units? I realize they are more expensive, but they are so much stronger and dependable. You don't have to worry about the shelf collapsing from too much weight.
I have those same shelves and they are bowing a bit. I plan to get some wood sticks to put between the shelves in the middle for extra support. I went through the store and got gobs of the boxes that the canned goods come in to help stack my canned goods and organize my stuff. Even boxes from Wal-Mart Christmas stuff lol! Now I just have to get the foods out of the plastic tubs and onto the shelves!
You have a great prepper pantry. I try to stock up and do keep a well stocked everyday pantry. But the prepper pantry at my house is sparse. I need to focus more in that this year and expand my area for storage for it. Also you are a very well organized person and efficient. I can't even begin to imagine how you get it all done. Did your shelves come with wall anchors? When hubby put our shelves like yours up he anchored them to the wall. We have crazy amounts of weight on ours...they're bowing!!! Yikes!!! Good job!!! That must feel so good to have that done!
It is definitely a good idea to stock up these days. I have been doing this for a while now. With grocery shelves being bare and prices climbing everyone need a few weeks worth of food. We even decided to buy local beef and bought a half cow. The price per pound came to 4.75...not bad and this will last us a year or better! Love your videos!

So nice and organized. I'm trying to figure out the categories for our pantry shelf unit. Like breakfast stuff, past stuff, and just odds and ends that I can't figure out the category/where to put it/them lol
I had the same issue, too. I finally just put some items in 'main meal item" category, "side dish", snack, "to be added to other things, lol", etc. based on how the item is going to be used. I designated another spot for my tex mex items ( refried beans, green chilies, enchilada sauce, etc).
You got it done and the prepper pantry looks great. It is probably going to be much more easily accessible in the room versus in the closet. I save the leftover sauce from takeout, too. I use clean Mayo and peanut butter jars as canisters for them. I sort each kind of sauce into its own jar. i have decided not to rotate my food stock--i have decided that what i have will be strictly for when it is needed--there is no guarantee that if i use my stuff now, i will be able to replace it in the future - so, my storage will be good for definitely a year or more because it is mostly canned goods and some grains, pasta, jarred sauces etc etc - but i have decided to not touch it, but to store it and get food as i need it for the week--i am still prepping though and adding to my supply
When it comes to the packages of rice, does one type (packaged or boxed) have a longer expiration than another? Just wondering if one was better for prepping....thanks!

Been prepping for 3 years and I’ve never had issues with bugs or mice. I rotate my food. Use and restock, so it’s not sitting on the shelves for years. You can also store in gallon bucket’s with lid to help. For long term storage I recommend Mylar bags. They aren’t mice proof, but they do help with bugs and keep food fresh for up to 5,10,20 years! Just put the Mylar bags in buckets to keep from mice.

i have decided not to rotate my food stock--i have decided that what i have will be strictly for when it is needed--there is no guarantee that if i use my stuff now, i will be able to replace it in the future - so, my storage will be good for definitely a year or more because it is mostly canned goods and some grains, pasta, jarred sauces etc etc - but i have decided to not touch it, but to store it and get food as i need it for the week--i am still prepping though and adding to my supply

Great video 🥰🥰
When it comes to the packages of rice, does one type (packaged or boxed) have a longer expiration than another? Just wondering if one was better for prepping....thanks!
No, I don’t believe so!

Hey hey girl 🥰
How would you keep rodents and critters from getting at the food?
Been prepping for 3 years and I’ve never had issues with bugs or mice. I rotate my food. Use and restock, so it’s not sitting on the shelves for years. You can also store in gallon bucket’s with lid to help. For long term storage I recommend Mylar bags. They aren’t mice proof, but they do help with bugs and keep food fresh for up to 5,10,20 years! Just put the Mylar bags in buckets to keep from mice.
In Canada we don't need stuff like this we are the best country in the world
