- Welcome to another episode of Art Store Tours! Today I'm revisiting The Art Shop, which I filmed earlier in the year, because they've just moved to a newer and larger location! So today we are going to see their new shop, and I'll give up an updated tour of what everything looks like now. So many art supplies, so many pretty displays! The Art Shop is my most local art store and it has grown considerably in the last decade or so, during the time I've been going to it. Its new location is a big improvement, and the shop looks really great! Watch to see the new layout and let me know what you think in the comments.

i only just found this online store recently and let me tell you girl this is why im broke... next day shipping, all the stock you can poke a stick at, easy to use website... its manna from heaven!
Haha yes, it is an amazing store and they've really upped their online presence with their new website. ❤
Becky keep the art tour coming. Wow this new location is way bigger and i didn't know they had MOVE. Appreciate the uploads Becky & be safe
Thank you Becky for the shop tour. I was so happy to be there with you! Such a beautiful shop - a candy for my eyes!!! I usually go with the specific list to art stores, but I'm naughty and ALWAYS get extra and tell my hubby it was on special. Ha ha ha. 💜💙💚💛
Oh, it was totally on special! 🤣
I live in a small town in North Queensland but I buy online from the art shop regularly. It’s really cool to actually see the store!
I’m glad you enjoyed the virtual walk through! 😊
Becky, sweetie, thank you so much for the infusion of happiness in my day with posting this video. Watching it, I was profusely drooling, since I don’t have any brick and mortar art supplies shop of such size and quality anywhere near me anymore 😢
Hugs from California 😊
I'm super grateful to have this store nearby! We're very spoiled in Melbourne with the sheer number of art shops that currently exist, dotted around the sprawling city. ❤
Wow, The Art Shop carries so many brands! What a fantastic store!
Yes, it keeps expanding and will one day take over the whole Eastern side of Melbourne. I'm here for it! 🤣
Thank you for taking us on this tour Becky! What a wonderful store!!!❤❤❤
I'm glad you liked it; I love their new store!
Whoow I didn't realize how big it is until you showed us the store from above 😅
Haha yes, it's a very big store!
Well that just blew me away!! What an incredible shop!! I've very envious of you!! My eyes were popping out of my skull :D delicious shop!! Thanks for the tour! :D
Their new store is amazing, isn't it! I was in there for ages, lol.
Fantastic tour! They seem to offer about everything an artist could want. 👍
Pretty much! 😆
I would recommend the pastel storage box (the 90 one) I have several sets in it
Would like to say thank you to the art staff at this store so we could see the new store what a wonderful place and so many lovey art supplies..looking forward to your next vist and what you decide to make from your purschase..💛🇨🇦🇺🇲✍🎨💛
They're so great to let me film in their shop! 💜
A "Must visir" when I come up for Christmas.
Plenty of pressies in there! 😁😎
Hi Becky, Wow! What an awesome store! I would love to go visit such a store. Thank you for sharing this with us. It was fun to watch.
It was fun to see how the store has changed, in its new location. 😊
So happy to have seen this. I mostly shop online but I have to admit that when perusing google I ALWAYS veer away from the art shop because of there signage. The hot pink and bright yellow, in my eyes, made me think they were just a dodgy little warehouse somewhere.
BUT boy I have never been so wrong in my life.
Thank you Becky and I hope you receive a huge amount of appreciation from The Art Shop 💕💛
Haha their signage is very bright, but it is becoming somewhat iconic for them, and the store itself is wonderful. 💜
this is a stunning set up, congrats on the new shop ❤❤❤
They've done a great job!
Thanks for the tour, I live in regional NSW, and order regularly on line from them, they deliver quickly and pack the items well. It was nice to see the actual shop. 😊
I'm glad it was helpful - it's always fun to see what certain stores look like inside when you can't visit them in person. 😊
I love art store tours, and this was fantastic! They are very well stocked!
They did a very good job arranging everything in the new shop; that aisle of paper.....🤩
Hi Becky, thanks for the tour - I was at The Art shop a few weeks ago and they were still unpacking, it looks great now all fully stocked, will have to go back again. Tea
Yes, I was there a few times at various stages of their move. It looks really great now, I love the new layout!
Brushes and shoes - you will never have enough 🤣
Haha that's very true! 😂
OMG that's such a well stocked art shop. I wish we had something like that where I'm from 😅
This store is within easy driving distance for me, so I'm very grateful for that! ❤
Love love love theartshop online! Still love W&N too, it's become pretty expensive unfortunately. Drooling over the Holbein and Golden. Don't get me started on the paper and sketchbooks. Thanks Becky! x Nell.
Loved this tour!!
WOW, what an amazing store. How would you even choose. Thank you for the tour.
It's nigh on impossible to leave without buying something, lol! 😂
I wish I didn't live over in the western suburbs. It's so tricky getting out that way - hate crossing the city. That wall of paper... LOVE it.
It's such a pain driving across the city! Melbourne is so ridiculously sprawling, it takes ages to get anywhere, lol.
I buy (online) from here as they have the best prices and a great range. So nice to walk the store with you. cheers.
Online and in-person, it's a great store!❤
Such a delightful tour. This shop is amazing - lucky you! TY for taking us along
Glad you enjoyed it!😊
Wow this art shop looks so cool, it has so many brands If I ever get to Australia I'd definitely check it out. I got to check out a art store in Germany back in June/July I picked up watercolour paper and two watercolour sets by schmincke a regular one and there deep sea set actually there deep sea set was in a tin and in half pans now
Ooh I'd love to check out some art shops in Germany!
I tend to go into an art store for something specific, but then I get pulled in and browse... a lot. What an amazing store. We do not have anything close to that here near me in Ontario. Very impressive! Also, I love m. graham paints... support the honey bees!
I think it's probably impossible to go into an art shop and not end up looking at the whole place, even with a specific shopping list in hand! I know I've tried and failed before, lol.
Thank you for the comprehensive look at this great new shop. I will have a look at their online store as Melbourne is a few days' drive from where I live. I do love to use W&N watercolours. I have been trying out some of the new brands lately but still use and buy W&N.
That's a fair way to go! I think their online store is very good as well, and I think they do a lot of sales that way. Best of both worlds!
So fun seeing the art store and all the delicious goodies inside!
They've definitely upped their game to new levels of awesomeness!
Oh my oh my I certainly hope you bought a small bunch of things…!!! Thx
I didn't leave empty handed! I'll show some things in my catch up during the week. 😊
I love this shop
Me too! ❤
Wow! What an awesome shop!
It really is!
I like a few W&N paints like paynes gray, raw umber and the cad colors. They work best fresh from the tube. I like paints from a lot of companies.
I had some tubes and they are lost...who knows where, possibly when I was travelling a few years ago. 😭
and Van Gogh white, black and skin tone oil pastels (for life drawing)
Great video, love the new store. OMG I do not need more supplies 😊
Haha same here!
I support our local art shop run by a very helpful couple here on the Gold Coast called Musgrave Art shop. They give great discounts, are super friendly and treat customers with respect. I always go with a list but of course I end up with extra things in my basket. I love buying single colour pencils as the sets are so expensive and have colours I dont use. Thanks for the tour. I do love Holbein acryla gouache which is quite hard to find so thats helpful to know Becky. Cheers. xo
I'll have to look out for that art shop if/when we get back to the Gold Coast. A good reason to go, haha!! 😂
@@BeckyTregear they also have real colour swatches of watercolors which is really helpful. I find it's hard to pick true colors off the shelf. Obviously you have a bigger, better well stocked shop there but I love supporting local businesses over the generic types.
I've used a little Atelier acrylic and I believe they are very high quality. I think I might only have the titanium white in the bottle and I think I've had their mars black too.
I did a painting course a couple years ago and the professional who taught it was mostly an oil painter, but Atelier is the acrylic he used, so I trust they must be great.
I really need to go to this store. I say that everytime you do a video. I only went the one time in late 2020 when they allowed very few people in at a time and we had to sign in.
One day I'll just get off the freeway on my way home from work and take that detour.
Oh yeah, I forgot, I don't need to buy anything 🤣 I actually did get something from them last month, but I just ordered it online.
I love Windsor & Newton paints, well the oil paints that is. They're one of my favourites 🙂
It's worth a visit now they've fully moved and there are no visiting restrictions. I'll have to give Atelier products a closer look! 😊
i buy my m graham oils from here, best shop ever!
soo many pencils!🥰 and that place looks huge!!
It is bigger than their previous store, and that was large too, haha! 😆
i would hide out there, never leave lol
Hi Becky, I go to art shops for a specific item and always end up getting distracted by all the pretty things I just have to bring home with me.
It's very easy to get distracted when there are so many wonderful things! 😊
This store is amazing!! I usually go to our local art store (Meiningers in Denver) to look for open stock options!
I love it when open stock is available!
I think I might wet myself when I walk through the doors 😂❤
Hahaha! 😂
Love The Art Shop! I made the trek across from Geelong for their opening sale haha
The best time to go! 😆
I wanna explore a store dedicated to art supplies. 😍 and someone else’s no limit credit card.
It would be great to have one of those cards, lol! 😂
Congrats on the shop for moving and Lovely Art shop . we have nothing like this in the UK ...as far as I know. ...Yes In deed Pencils ! I lost it hahaha when I saw all the Copic Markers ..never seen so many in one area... on no Panpastels .....man I really can make up my mind ..... Please may you do another video with pan pastels please ..... as you are honest . hahahahahahaha Happy swatching xxxx
It is a most excellent store! My experience with PanPastels is very limited, lol. I would love to expand into lighter and darker shades....eek they're expensive!
@@BeckyTregear yeah I know ...I want to get the pure set ,like you have . to get me started... it is the price point that gets to me and flipflopping ..If I dont get I will forever want them....
I buy the bulk of my supplies online from a variety of shops purely because I don't live near any art shops 😥 I live in a small town and would need to travel to the city of Hamilton to find my closest store. (Gordon Harris) The rest of the stores I shop from (Takapuna art supplies and Hobbyland) are in Auckland and that's at least 2.5hrs drive from here. (On a good day with no roadworks) There's also a shop in Tauranga I visit when we go to the beach but otherwise I just shop the specials to try to counteract the shipping costs if I can't get free shipping. So I love your store walk-throughs. I heard you mention the Winsor and Newton watercolor journals but didn't see the blue cover ones that we get here in NZ. 100% cotton and very reasonably priced. A5 and A4 in hard cover and A5 in a soft cover
I know some of those stores, though I missed the one in Tauranga! Which one is that? The W&N dark blue journals were there but I skimmed over them pretty quickly and I don't think they had the full range that day. I like those books! 😊
@@BeckyTregear I just found out that they closed in 2022. I didn't go over to that beach last year so I didn't realize. It was The Red Studio at the Mount. Bummer. I hate it when an art shop closes, it's not like we have lots of them here. Another couple I've bought online from are The Drawing Room in Chrisrchurch and The Ribbon Rose in Auckland.
This place better for brand names. The Art Shed better for cheaper brands. Even Spotlight has random stock on special sometimes that I would pick up.
I hope to visit the Art Shed soon for a tour! 😊
@@BeckyTregearThanks Becky (and The Art Shop staff) for the nice tour of their new & massive store. Can't wait to see what you bought in your next video. Looking foward to see a tour of The Art Shed in the future.😃

Hi!!
@@pastelsgirl Hello! 🙂
Love love love theartshop online! Still love W&N too, it's become pretty expensive unfortunately. Drooling over the Holbein and Golden. Don't get me started on the paper and sketchbooks. Thanks Becky! x Nell.
I wish W&N wasn't so expensive!
