Between the KRONOS and Nautilus, I'm not sure which. I'm sure both do the same things depending on what you're looking for, but I'm not sure. I think that if you were an editing/sound designing nut (so to speak), go with the KRONOS, because I think the KRONOS does that just a little better, even though as I said that I'm sure that the Nautilus would do it too.
I have Korg Krome. Would not buy again. It doesn't have mic audio in that cheaper cross has. And I would also buy one with step sequencer. It has good sound but if you record it with sequencer that sound gets worse, and also when I record sound through audio interface it also deteriorates, so you end up with worse recorded sound that what produces Korg cross. Also interface is archaic. I would buy Yamaha or Roland. More functions for Same money. Also I bought long time ago when I did know nothing about keyboards
I've had no problems recording the Krome EX. Maybe use better cables because I've doen lots of testing of the audio quality once recorded or sampled and there is no notable difference in audio quality. I've examined the waveforms and the silent tail ends of the audio and any noise is undetectable to my ears when recording directly into my MPC. Good cables and high enough output without clipping is the key
It seems to me that given the nautilus(new to Korg brand instruments just got nautilus 88) switched from kawai based Keybed actions, just for functionality and I like, my only except, or but, would be since the nautilus is mostly counting on a screen to replace lots of draw bars levers and buttons, they should have just put the bigger 8 in screen in it too. Considering the screen is the main focus of that instrument, its for everything, should have been a little bigger
In my opinion, the nautilus was not made to replace the Kronos but more to offer a slightly cheaper option, much like the Krome, and to me it fits right between the Krome and the Kronos…better than a Krome and that much is clear but not better than the Kronos
Too many piano comparisons in my opinion. There are more sounds than just pianos!! What about strings, basses, pads…even sequencing on them would’ve been cool…
Ive just got mine... Its fantastic, beautiful sounds and imo, sounds better than the Kross 2.... but if you do get one.. make sure you buy an EX and not the older Krome.. korg fixed the internal SD card crash bug with the EX
@@gpr4eva I am looking for one, but I am curious about when they will release a new version. Buying the KORG OASYS would be a "Joker" possibility. The foldable screen is very helpful especially for myopic people like I am. Is there a possibility of connecting a external screen to KRONOS?
I look on it as every month the new Kronos doesn't come out assuming there will be a new Kronos, it may mean we're in for a pleasant surprise. Given the VST market is awash with many great instruments, gigabytes of samples etc, wouldn't surprise me if Korg brought out a new operating system with say a 1TB SSD with even greater/bigger samples or something similar to compete with for example several of the Native Instruments piano libraries. Only time may tell :)

@@DisInfoWars cables are ok. It comes down to audio interface, but even that won't match sound from krome that comes from headphone jack
They upgraded a few things in the EX from the original Krome, one of them being they fixed the SD card crash error

Krome has a great piano sound to be a Triton like keyboard
