They only had some new blush/bronzers as far as I know. WHAT’S HAPPENING!? Would love to hear your thoughts or behind the scenes info. on where you think the brand is heading and whether there’s ANY hope for a BH revival.
My goal in 2023 was to try indie brands and I haven't looked back. 😅😊 Bella Beaute Bar, Unearthly Cosmetics, Oden's Eye, and Blend Bunny stole my heart.
Indie is definitely where it’s at. I don’t use anything else really now as far as eyeshadows go. Adept has a good formula too along with Glaminatrix. Bellabeautebar has to be my favorite brand as of late.
FINALLY supposed to receive my Ensley Reign Harvest Moon palette - that was a loooooong wait for the preorder. Sheesh. I get indie brands managing demand and production but I think they could do better in having a larger stock now that they are promoting more, offering affiliate codes, etc. It starts to feel like a false scarcity when they release two other palettes while still waiting to fulfill orders from 3 releases ago. Still excited about it though and hoping they are just trying to figure out their supply and demand flows as a growing company. ❤️🥳❤️
I want to try Ensliegh Rain (I think I spelled it right); they are expensive, and that's fine; however, they have been releasing palettes back to back, and in my opinion, it's too much with that price point, maybe if they slowed down so I could gather my thoughts before they released another one.
Ensleyreign cosmetics has quickly become my favorite brand. Yes, they're expensive, but they're honestly so worth it. Their mattes are pigmented, buildable, and last all day. Their special shades are SO beautiful and varied. The textures/formulas are very different from each other. I own 4 of their palettes with another on the way and most of the special shades and mattes are very unique in my collection, so that also contributes to the price being worth it. I highly recommend them as a brand!
I want to buy one as well, but I’d prefer a smaller and less expensive palette from them rather than the larger more expensive ones. Just for space sake.
I tried Cosmic brushes for the first time this year when they launched the Muse palette and now i have 4 of their palette 😂 absolutely love the eyeshadow. Blend bunny sugar and grudge palette love that. Glaminatrix didn't blow me away if I'm honest. Gourmande girls haunted palette absolutely love. Fantasy cosmetica love the shimmers but the mattes aren't my favourite and Nomad Ghost town USA palette, really like it. I've got Bella beaute bar basic witch palette on it's way to me, can't wait to try that brand 😊
I really like what you said about not spending a lot of time doing your makeup when on vacation with your husband. I love makeup too- but I pair down my routine when traveling with my fiancé. It is important to be considerate of his time and for me, doing my makeup is a something that is fun- but I am mindful not to do it when I have the time and it won’t inconvenience him or cut into our time together. I think being considerate of your partner is so important and is something that creates a relationship that will last a lifetime.
I've always been a mainstream brand girl. Finally tried Oden's eye for the first time this year, after watching you rave about them for the past 2 years. I was so impressed with their quality, even the older palettes. Now I want to try Cosmic Brushes, Glamlite, and Fantasy Cosmetica.
You may want to put Blend Bunny on your list as well. I tried them this year and was blown away with their quality. Dollhouse and All Done Up palettes are more neutral and I love the shades and they easy to blend. Also love Sydney Grace products.

Loving the purple eye with the leopard print! 💜 I tried a bunch of eyeshadow formulas from: Nars (Read My Mind) Too Faced (Natural Nudes) Huda (Pretty Grunge) Natasha Denona (Retro) Alter Ego (Harmony) 👎 Glamlite (Chucky) Doll 10 (Doll Squad 1 + 2) Rebel Rouge Labs (As the World Falls Down) Ace Beaute (Aura & Ambiance) Cosmic Brushes (Gothic) Wicked Widow Beauty (Graveyard Smash) And foundation from Nars and Estee Lauder The only dude was Alter Ego, the mattes were hard and dry and the shimmers lackluster. I liked the color story so much that I sprung for the ND palette instead.

Sooooo many more brands I am dying to try, but that's pretty good for a 41yr old just getting into makeup as a hobby to relieve stress (my boyfriend fought cancer this year). The Rudi pen is actually a permanent item! Beaubble is kinda weird and releases products in “drops”, so you have to wait for the next one, but they typically do them every few months.
I've been on a makeup no-buy all year, but this and other channels have helped me realize how much of my collection covers everything I was interested in! I love how you emphasize in your 4 palette videos that they're for inspo, not for shopping ❤ Also, this amethyst look is gorgeous, can't wait for the reel 💜
I really think you'd enjoy the phytosurgence blushes!! The brand overall might nto be your vibe but the blush formula is incredible and i love my orange blush from them

This year I’ve tried cosmic beauty, ( I’m hooked I have the serenity , muse and , delicious delights palettes) nomad cosmetics ( ghost town and Hudson valley palettes) and recently I picked up the sugar and grunge palette from blend bunny cosmetics. I love all of them! Indie brands have always been on my list to try and now I’m hooked! The quality is superb! And the special shades are unlike anything in my collection! I can’t put these palettes down there just that good!!
Super video. I find indie brands have trouble managing money. The creativity and quality are often there but the dollars are hard to manage. They can’t do large orders and release new collections with the ease of more mainstream brands. When they have something wonderful the inventory is depleted and lead times on new orders can kill them and destroy customer interest.

What's Up was well known in the nail world. I am glad they are making a strong footing in the makeup world. The dragon palette is getting a lot of purchase (footing) in the vlogger world and that's good for them. Those Iconic kissed by the sun remind me of Bobby Brown highlighters. The "sweaty cheek" effect. The images on their site are really showing how they emphasize texture. wow.

They had a bunch of lipsticks. And talking about freckle pen... I am on the hunt for one good-quality freckle pen for my teen daughter. I haven't tried any myself.

This was a big indie brands year for me: I tried Sydney Grace, Glaminatrix, and Corazona. All eyeshadows. I also just got VB Beauty eyeliners and wow! They are so good! I used the shade Ash today but also bought Cocoa and the navy blue shade to replace a god-awful KVD Beauty eyeliner (also new brand this year but it was a complete fail)
Of course, your husband loves you with them without make up you’re dropdead gorgeous but you also seem like a really sweet heart very down to earth and approachable you’re on it I love that you give honest reviewer
This year I have tried 4 brands, 3 for eyeshadow and 1 for lipstick. So for lipstick, I tried the Lip Bar Matte lipstick finally and have been loving it so far. For eyeshadow, I've gotten the Blend Bunny Blends palette, the Bella Beaute Bar Poison Garden 2 palette, a 12 pan palette of matte and shimmer singles from Sydney Grace, and Devinah single shimmers and multichromes. With Blend Bunny, I adore how much variety in matte colors I have now in my collection! They are so easy to use and pair with my other palettes. They're on my radar but I feel satisfied with the colors I own from them right now. Then, with Sydney Grace, I did a surprise bag with an empty palette. I ended up with a variety between colors, neutrals, mattes and shimmers. So that was nice and they are soo awesome to use!! I have a wish list of more colors to get sometime, lol. Then, with the Bella Beaute Bar palette, I guess it is from their older formula, which I now know from speaking with them. And while most matte shades perform ok, they take time to build up and the pastels don't show up. But all the shimmers but a "spiky flakey" one are very nice. And I mostly dip into it for the shimmers. I do however have the Best Mattes palette on my wishlist to round out the tones of color in my collection, since it seems to be much better now that they reformulated. And I just got my first Devinah order in yesterday from Black Friday! I've only swatched them and used one on the eyes, but so far I'm so happy 😊
I tried Cosmic Brushes for the first time this year and I absolutely love their eyeshadow formula!! I also really like the color stories and the packaging. I have Muse, Delicious Delights and Gothic is on the way 🖤. Also buying the Winter wonderland palette when it restocks. I love their brand 🤌🏽
I'm here for a '4 in 24' video! I usually choose 3-4 brands to try in the next year. Sometimes I do, sometimes I do 3-4 that I DIDN'T have on my list 😂. Maybe next year when I get through my project pan and pare my collection down a litle more I will add a new brand.

Indie brands are sensational. This year I bought Nomad, Sydney Grace, Oden's Eye and Ensley Reign. Fantastic! Mainstream palettes are not exciting me anymore.

Yes, I'm the same. Sunscreen, tinted moisturizer, mascara, brow pencil, gloss and sometimes a one and done shadow. 5 minutes tops.

Unearthly and caliray are the two brands I tried this year! I got the Lore palette and I love it! And the caliray mascara is fabulous!

For eyeshadow, I've gotten the Blend Bunny Blends palette, the Bella Beaute Bar Poison Garden 2 palette, a 12 pan palette of matte and shimmer singles from Sydney Grace, and Devinah single shimmers and multichromes. With Blend Bunny, I adore how much variety in matte colors I have now in my collection! They are so easy to use and pair with my other palettes. They're on my radar but I feel satisfied with the colors I own from them right now. Then, with Sydney Grace, I did a surprise bag with an empty palette. I ended up with a variety between colors, neutrals, mattes and shimmers. So that was nice and they are soo awesome to use!! I have a wish list of more colors to get sometime, lol. Then, with the Bella Beaute Bar palette, I guess it is from their older formula, which I now know from speaking with them. And while most matte shades perform ok, they take time to build up and the pastels don't show up. But all the shimmers but a "spiky flakey" one are very nice. And I mostly dip into it for the shimmers. I do however have the Best Mattes palette on my wishlist to round out the tones of color in my collection, since it seems to be much better now that they reformulated. And I just got my first Devinah order in yesterday from Black Friday! I've only swatched them and used one on the eyes, but so far I'm so happy 😊

I tried Cosmic Brushes for the first time this year and I absolutely love their eyeshadow formula!! I also really like the color stories and the packaging. I have Muse, Delicious Delights and Gothic is on the way 🖤. Also buying the Winter wonderland palette when it restocks. I love their brand 🤌🏽
I'm here for a '4 in 24' video! I usually choose 3-4 brands to try in the next year. Sometimes I do, sometimes I do 3-4 that I DIDN'T have on my list 😂.
Maybe next year when I get through my project pan and pare my collection down a litle more I will add a new brand.

Did you try Tarte this year? Maybe it was last year. I love it when you try mainstream affordable brands. Luxury eyeshadow not great but luxury base products are fab! Would love to see you try Dior Forever Matte or Chanel No 1.

Indie brands are sensational. This year I bought Nomad, Sydney Grace, Oden's Eye and Ensley Reign. Fantastic! Mainstream palettes are not exciting me anymore.
