The takeaway from Yolz story for me is that it is possible, so maybe for me and my current finances for example saving for a TV/washing machine/stove heeeh or installing solar could be my aim instead of taking a loan I cut off those interests. Building that financial muscle discipline. You even had a video on saving and attaching a goal on the saving. I like what you said that we are conditioned that a car/house must be on credit.
Yep - Love the Takeaway and I’m on that tip too! This is something we can use as motivation to apply to our individual circumstances even if it’s a a much smaller scale. 🙌🏾
Honestly she did an excellent job , imagine how much that car cost !!! Honestly we are all inspired !!!! Imagine some of us fail to save up for iPhone 📱 so she really encouraged me to start saving up more this year ❤
Bathong so proud of Yolz and can definitely relate. Debt stresses me out, hei kere I cant even sleep so if I had the money right now I would buy my next car cash cause the thought of paying car installment gives me chills. 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for yet another educational video. The thing is we borrow because we don’t have, and we even try to pay extra on our debts so we can finish early.
My partner bought his car cash from auction. He didn't care for a brand new car but was in need for a car without financing and getting into debt. It was worth the price, almost brand new (1 owner and 5 months old). He saved atleast R80k on opt for an auction instead of a demo in store and brand new
Good for him! 🙌 My cousin also buys cars from auction and fixes them himself, also a good way to save but one must have enough knowledge on cars and to be able to assess the extent of damage and what it will cost to repair just to make sure the total costs still makes sense.
So on the money with this week's edition. Love how you took something trending on social media to bring an educational element to it! Andy, I see you 😎 Ngaze nga proud ngimncane!
100% agree and if you can't buy cash, then at least pay it off sooner. That goes for all debt. It is just sad that the financial system is set on building bad habits within society and forces people to make debt to build good credit scores. Most people never get out of the debt trap.
I am not gonna lie, that video was a big motivation for me - when she said “ I saved for the entire year “. I’d say it is a better move for someone who doesn’t have debt, has a proper emergency savings and investments . It speaks big on discipline and that is one thing we need to be able to save. If the end goal is to stay off debt- then we must learn to save and buy things cash. Nicolette Mashile also bought a Range Rover cash last year and she explained that it was possible because of her current financial position.
Love this, so well articulated!! Got some nuggets out of it. You’re right, there isn’t much opinion or advice on when it actually can makes sense to buy a car cash
Oh man congratulations to her we are so proud of her 🎉 thank you for sharing Andi this is very informative. Personally as a person who was once under debt review right now to be honest am all about cash 💸 listen I don’t even want 100r debt I always run 🏃 I would rather wait and save up sana. Investment are not guaranteed 😊
My deepest desire is to be debt-free and when she shared her story, that was what I was reminded of. We can live without debt, but it takes discipline and patience.
I agree with you. The thing is, the same advice or suggestion is not given when people finance cars. We don’t tell each other that we should have saved instead of financing the vehicle…
We have normalised debt because of our financial circumstances, and it has now gotten to the point where some people believe in debt so much even when cash is a better option. All the people who were saying it is a bad financial decision didn’t even consider interest from the bank and the fact that she could afford to buy it cash. Let’s pay off our debt guys it is possible.
Yep, we often respond from one point of view and forget all the other factors that let to the person getting to where they are. Being debt free is the way 💯
I am for what Yolz did. If you can be disciplined enough and can afford it cash, i say go for it. Being debt free should be the goal! Also Funky spoke about investing, Yolz is financially educated. I don't believe she would buy a car cash if she didn't save up for +-4 years of livi g expenses and etc. And remember she's married, meaning dual household income.
Lots of factors to consider that we just over look all in the name of rushing to make a point. I maintain that no one takes on debt for the sake of us and if I were possible, we would all be in her shoes…🙌🏾

@@sinazomakileni3938 no it’s her instagram post she just gave brief points
Honestly she did an excellent job , imagine how much that car cost !!! Honestly we are all inspired !!!! Imagine some of us fail to save up for iPhone 📱 so she really encouraged me to start saving up more this year ❤

I did not even want to get too deep into the benefit of the emotional and psychological relief because woooow 😅
Same here 😅, my friend always laughs at me that I will complete about the interest rate and small fees
😅😅😂😂
One of my prayers is to buy a car cash, seeing someone doing it is inspiring. Debt interests frustrates me
May it be so 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you for yet another educational video. The thing is we borrow because we don’t have, and we even try to pay extra on our debts so we can finish early.
It’s a pleasure Thuli! Exactly and I think we’ve become so used to that we forget that there are other ways

It becomes worse and worse sadly. Glad that there are people who prove that there are other ways.
I love your point of view I would definitely buy everything cash if I could , being debt free brings so much freedom.
Thanks Tebogo - we all need to get there!
I loved how you actually broke this down 🙌🏾 and I totally agree, if you have enough cash flow to do it then why not
Exactly, why not?!! 🙂

My uncle used to say if you can't buy it cash then you can't afford it..🔥
@@AndiswaMojapelo My approach currently Andi 😊
I totally agree with you..if we had the money in hand we would never willingly go into debt but we do so from a point of need!
Yep. Being bad debt dream is everyone’s dream 🙌🏾

Buying the car cash doesnt stop you to apply for insurance and service plan.
That is correct 🙂

Exactly and in all areas of our loves, not just finances!
Love the intro
Thank you 🤗
Nothing is great as not paying interest
And when you add earning interest while not paying it to that, its honestly pure bliss. Nothing cute about paying someone way more than you borrowed.
Love Yolz
Our big Sis, lover her to bits too 🙂
Here
Appreciate it!
