Hey Matt, another great series of videos I can’t tell you how cool that is helping the guys in the shop modify their cars having a good time and doing a good thing what could be better👍
Easy to tell in the comments those who never tracked a car... you can easily cook your brakes after half an hour hot lapping, even in a light car like this. Extra cooling can mitigate that.
@@nate7906 they came with the slotted disks i got as an aftermarket replacement. one would think that they would last more than a lap in a 1 ton car that doesnt exacrly go very fast
Miata content is the best content. Makes sense since it’s always the answer. I have an ND1... best mod is seat lowering bracket. Second best mod is steering wheel of your choice to replace the OEM one that is the thickness of a drinking straw. Ive tracked my ND1 (NOT bbs/brembo car) and the stock brakes got toasty... when i return to the track it will be with fluid and track pads FOR SURE.
The guys each need a bumper sticker. "I eat Porsches for breakfast!". Nice mod, even if you do not track. Good brake insurance on mountain roads in Florida. Need a Smokey Mountain team road trip. Set up a tent for a customer event, sell stuff to pay for trip. Nice color!!!!!
Matt you gotta hammer on those bolts with the RAIW for a few seconds!! Impacts don't make anywhere near their peak torque for a few seconds. Hold the trigger and don't feather or baby it!
Would be interesting to see how it holds up and if it helps much. On a faster track with lots of braking it probably would. For the street and blue moon track day, not so sure.
Yeah, talk trash about two post lifts now Matt lol! That was funny how you immediately brought that up when you were torquing the hub bolts. You made me laugh anyway.
Ryuichi Tanaka I may be an elitist, thanks for pointing that out. I simply don’t like it. I don’t care what you or 500k others think. Never have, never will. Ironically, your idol Matt is thinking the same thing as he questions this young guy wasting his money.
What a waste of money. A miata isn't even track worthy. You gonna race a bunch of Honda civics? This is quite hilarious that someone puts "perfomance parts" on a car like a miata. Guess i better buy these brake cooling kits for my Geo Metro
@@Patrick94GSR yeah your right because it is one of the cheapest cars you can buy and modify next to the Honda civic. I doubt a miata is going to do speeds or turning hard enough to need brakes upgraded. 1000 lbs 50 hp car.
There are plenty of people who have seen good results from installing brake ducts on their Miatas. Also a race car doesn't need to be fast, if everyone else also has a car that's just as fast/slow the racing is just as fun (if not more fun because you're not worrying about messing up an expensive car). If you take your Geo Metro to the track and the brakes overheat then yes, you should consider better cooling after trying the basics like pads and fluid.
Loving the direction your channel has been going.

Yep. Heavy braking on a track can boil some brake fluid on just about any car.
Exactly
half hour. mine wouldnt last a lap. pads were dogshit tho
decoyla no street pads work well on track just a fact

you can hold the trigger way longer on an impact, the longer you hold the more it hammers
i know it take a second to work
Thank god for editing otherwise 9 hour video.

Nice color!!!!!
Under cabinet lighting looks GREAT! Massive difference.
You can use the right angle as a normal ratchet to break bolts loose.
Amazing. Definitively going to consider this.
Brake ducts are a great mod for the Miata, good job guys!
I love the under cabinet lighting!
Matt when will you get the new Milwaukee impacts?

I find the rear brakes on the ND build heat faster than the front on Brembo cars
Did that part turn around between installing it and torquing it down. Gotta love a quality edit.
Agree the editing on this video was seamless

Hey Bryce, how are you liking the Xpel xr plus 70% on the windshield? Good clarity?
Hmm, believe I will keep my DRLs thank you.
Matt, you planning on getting Michele a Ram Trx to replace her raptor?
Hey brother.. did you sale the 2016 tahoe?
Yeah, talk trash about two post lifts now Matt lol! That was funny how you immediately brought that up when you were torquing the hub bolts. You made me laugh anyway.
Wanted to see view of car from the front with and without fog light. Man, replacing fake grills with something operational would be 👌
So clean. Bryce driving it?
Bryce should tow the GT4 to the track with the Mazda.
Gotta love editing lol. Those who notice will know what I'm referring too. Clean car tho and great product for road racing or time attack.
Is it just me or do the speakers on top of the cabinets keep changing
Rasheds Asmr still the Dynaudios
It's somewhat useless Bryce if you don't track the car ... but pretty cool stuff anyways!
Scene points yo
He will probably track it at some point.
He was talking about the track in the video
@@Ohjustyoshi Even if he does, I doubt he'll drive it hard enough to need brake cooling.
Antiseize on brake hub.
looks like old mattys been cutting back on some of those zebra cakes.
Box cutter!!!!!!!!
Blood hand coming.
Seriously? It's a Miata. How fast do you think you'll be going? 🤔
I get what you are saying but if you don’t want to run squeaky brake track pads and fluid it’s a good functional mod.
Friction rings are super annoying
Why would you put that on a Miata 😂
Because brakes get toasty not on a track in just a couple laps, moron.
Bryce likes to go SLOW FASTER 🤔
Jason Fenske's Miata from Engineer Explained has SupCharger and no need of brake disk cooling.
On a Miata? 😆
Yes, because brake cooling is brake cooling, it doesn't matter what car the brakes are mounted on. Why would you not improve the cooling on a Miata?
This is absolutely crazy, its a Miata, they cant go over 90 mph
180hp and needs brake cooling kit rofl
Save your pennies and buy a Cayman
@Ryuichi Tanaka Never said it was a bad car. I understand it handles well. But it does look like something your daughter's barbie doll would drive.

These guys are so awkward noo intro ??

Do you live under a rock? The Miata is one of the most raced and tracked cars in existence.
@@Patrick94GSR yeah your right because it is one of the cheapest cars you can buy and modify next to the Honda civic. I doubt a miata is going to do speeds or turning hard enough to need brakes upgraded. 1000 lbs 50 hp car.
Derek Parisian you sound ignorant. Have you even raced in a sanctioned event?
@@Patrick94GSR not ignorant. Used to race a 2012 mustang gt. Never seen a miata in one
