I bought my 5D Classic about 3 months ago and I can honestly say I haven't touched my Canon 80D since then or have thought about getting a newer camera at all. The color science of the 5D is insane. It's like a film camera but digital. Definitely a great buy.

I have used the Canon 5D classic Mk1 for the past 15 years, I bought the first one when they first released the body and used it for about 150 weddings, I also bought a back up body. I ended up managing over 300 weddings with the 5d classic, they just keep going. They do have a problem where the mirror can fall off , but if you are careful and buy a serial starting with a 3...... you will be safe. they also improved the rear screen and low pass filter with the cameras stating 3....... I am still using it in 2020 (not for weddings this year because of lockdown)😰 Thank you for making this great video, I love watching your videos keep making more.
yeah and you made a video about it 20 min long , but you didnt put a single picture in it :) that wasnt cool man . I my self am waiting on it , i used Dx bodies up untill now . Started with Sony , went to Canon DX , and now going with FF. After i build my Lens collection i will later get a better body, if i need one , i probably dont need it .
I love my 5D, and have been shooting with it professionally since 2012. I really haven't found any reason to replace it yet. It's just an amazing camera that I'll likely use until it no longer works.
Sold my 5D (owned for ten years) a few months ago for $200 (with handgrip, L-plate, and extra batteries). Buyers were knocking down the imaginery door to get it. I guess I sold too cheap. The autofocus points don't work so well anymore except for the centre one. The mirror had to be fixed twice, and the grip creaks slightly from use. But, the camera does its job and I have so many pictures to show for it. I hope the person who bought the 5D appreciates it as much as you do
Just watched this video and had a smile on my face at the end. I feel like shooting with a 5D Classic today is just for pure passion. The images you showed are just beautiful. Thank you.
You made me buy a 5D a month ago! And since I love this camera and I am a compulsive buyer, I almost bought a 6D today for video feature and better autofocus. I just watched your video again and remembered why I bought the 5D in the first place, for it’s simplicity and overall bargain so decided to forget the 6D and enjoy the 5D. You saved me 1500$!
@mattias Burling .. No need to search Ebay for me, as I bought mine from new when the 5D mk1 was first sold. It's still going strong, and the quality of the images is good enough for me. I've used it for commercial, wedding and personal work, and I consider it to be the digital version of my all time favourite workhorse .... the Canon EOS 1. I was wondering when you'd get around to doing a review on the 5D mk1....... it was worth waiting for, as I love the way you present your reviews.
I bought my 5D a few weeks ago for not much more than yours. I love not spending all day playing with settings and getting on and taking pictures. Between that and my Canon A1 for film I am happy.
I had this camera in the past, I loved so much and when I look back my pictures...oh my gosh they are sooooooo nice in term of colors and why not, in definition! Absolutely great camera!
I have and still use the 5D classic and it is one of my favorite bodies, for something so inexpensive and getting a full frame sensor and great color grading, i couldn't ask for more for the same price.
My husband and I photograph weddings together. We have a 5D Classic and a couple 7Ds that we usually shoot with. I honestly feel like a parent who has a favorite child. The color representation of the 5D Classic is incredible. It is my favorite camera to shoot with, in all of its simplicity.
My Top Reasons to buy a 5D Classic (1). High pixel pitch (8.2 µm) for best life-like organic images and depth rendition. Today's cameras are sooo sharp, cold, and very digital. This and the Canon 1DS mark 1 are the closest you will get to life-like organic images that resemble film. (2.) 12 MegaPixel, So you can still make large prints, even for professional work. (3.) FullFrame ofcourse! Just my opinion, this is a great camera!
Still got my 1ds and its my all time favorite Camera today even tho i shoot with a Sony a7rii 43mp i prefer the canon with its color rendering and organic feel and Pleasant high iso analog look
I love this camera. I got mine three years ago - my first full frame since my old film 10s. It let me remember why I love photography in the first place. And yes, the colors are amazing.
I absolutely agree. I both own a 5dii and fuji xt-20. In terms of features the xt-20 is miles away ahead of the 5dii. What brings me back to canon is the color. How natural it looks. And also the ergonomics
This was my first full frame camera. Even with it's limitations and outdated tech., it still produces great images (especially when paired with a fantastic lens like the Canon 85mm 1.8)!
I had the same combo. It was my favorite lens. Now I am on a Nikon system and my D600 and 85/1.8 is arguably a more potent combo (from a technical point of view), but the images just don't have the same beautiful character to them.
@@RichardBarleyphoto yep, the 5D is cheap as it gets for the type of output it gives, and also, because it sits in a higher class of cameras, the ergonomics are top-notch, which isn't something you could say for a similarly priced but newer cameras from entry-level class. And the 85/1.8 is just one of those best buy lenses.
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your video. I have been playing around with a D3200 for about a year and was thinking about trying full frame. Keep in mind, I'm no "photographer", I just take pictures. I was gathering data on cameras that cost thousands of dollars and telling myself I could not justify that. Just as I was about to settle for the "affordable" Z50, I saw your video. I picked mine up with a 24-85mm USM, BG-E4 battery grip, Speedlite 430EX, one Canon battery and charger for less than $200 (USD). A quick trip to Amazon got me two more batteries (Kastar) for an additional $12.99 (USD). The lens creeps but it works fine. I initially thought that having a heavier camera would be a problem but oddly I find that I am more comfortable with it. I cannot be happier with my decision to listen to your observations on the 5D MK l. There was a definite learning curve as I now had to deal with small issues like vignetting but the quality of the photos I am getting is so superior to my D3200. Perhaps I'm just learning more, I don't know. Either way, this was the best move for me and I could not be happier with the results. Thank you again.
Bought one for $150 less than 1k accentuations on it. Dude bought it and it sat mostly in his closet for years he said. They used it on a couple trip back in the day.
i bought my 5d three months ago. it came with a 50mm/1.8/stm. i usually shoot nearly wide open and have been very pleased with the images. i use the center point af and re-compose. there is no live view. there is no video. heck, there are barely any menu options. with all of the above limits, i still really like the images. thanks for the effort and the sharing. i am a very appreciative subscriber. thumbs up.
smalltalk.productions ..... That's why I use my 5D mk1 alongside my Canon EOS 1, as they are basic high qualty workhorses that are digital / film siblings. The 5D mk1 and the EOS 1 just keep on going.
The lack of tech and settings turned out to be my favorite "feature" of this camera. There's absolutely no confusion. It takes pictures, and that's it.
I bought one a while back ..fell in love with its magical photos using the nifty fifty .. gave it to my son and bought me a mark ii... felt bad because I didnt get the same feeling with the photos taken with the mark ii .. ended up buying another classic....it is truly a gem.
I agree 100%. I love my 5D classic, I have the Mark II and Mark III but the classic is the camera i usually grab for my everyday shooting. I love its colors and its simplistic nature, i recommend using it with vintage manual lenses for more creative results. Great vid!
Winding the clock forward another 5 years and I finally got the 5D Classic this year. Seems to be very clean but port rubbers broken and rear buttons a little sticky when rested for a while. Replaced the rubbers with aftermarket kit from eBay. Takes lovely photos and a pure joy to use. Prices are up a bit these days as they have become much sort after again.
My 5D classic sat in the dry cabinet when the micro 4/3 came out. Using Oly most of the time now. Maybe it's time to play with my old 5D again. Thanks for this video!
Bought one yesterday for $300. Great deal that came with three batteries and a Canon battery extension grip. As the video states, this camera takes magnificent photos. Still in shock of its abilities and the color it produces. And you can't beat that satisfying, mechanical **click** the shutter makes when pressed. I'm in love with this camera.
Just bought one. After taxes and shipping it was about 350. What shocked me the most was just how easy it was to learn to use. I love this thing and I cant wait to start playing with it and shooting with it. Great video and you are a fantastic photographer
My first camera, Have been using it for 3 years with the 50mm 1.8 and a 28mm 2.8 and haven't upgraded yet. Used it for street & travel, for weddings & events, portraits, and even fashion. the only drawback as mentioned is limited ISO, and for me that it is has a kind of a slow buffer when shooting fast (sports etc).
After my d3300 clicked its last click last year I picked one of these up for a couple hundred bucks after reading some reviews online and was just blown away by how much I loved this camera! The viewfinder is so much better than a cropped sensor dslr, the colors are so much better than my nikon was, the menu was short a sweet, im not worried about breaking it, and it has plenty of detail! The only complaint I could have is high iso performance but considering its age/price what can you expect?
Gorgeous pictures! I've never been more inspired to improve and shoot more. It's not about the tools, its how the artist uses them. Thank you for your video.
I bought another one. During the last four months I have received roughly 50 000 messages saying that there isn't any cheap 5Ds left. Well I bought another one a week ago sub $200. I just bought one yesterday for $300. Third party batteries and charger, but original battery grip. Pretty good deal, and an absolute beast of a camera.
I always regretted selling my 5d.. i was convinced there was a magic to the 12mp sensor and the colours as you say were fantastic. I was at the time convinced i needed the mkii. Now i only shoot film but if i were to go back i would be buying one of these.... so long as this video doesn't shoot the price up
"Magic" has always been the word I've used to describe the classic 5d, too. I think most of it's look is attributed to the size of the pixel surface area on the sensor. Something about the larger pixels capturing greater amounts of light or something like that. This camera always seemed to have a 3D effect and wide dynamic range.
I have sourced quite a few for my customers and the price of the good ones has crept up slightly. The serial numbers starting 2............... and 3........... are worthing searching for. I recently got an immaculate one stating 3......... and the rear screen and mirror fix were done. It was for a customer unfortunately had to let it go. just keep searching.
Great video Matias! I bought one almost two months. Your photos show me that I can take much more from mine! And need A nice friend as your dog as a model! Keep pushing! Best wishes!
Nice one, some years ago i sold my Canon 400D with kit lens and bought the 5D classic instead. I only use 2 lenses the 50 mm 1.8 and a 40 mm pancake. The camera is rock solid build and every time the shutter goes *clunk* your hart jumps a little ;-) - some real mechanical sound :-D
I'm still using my 5D Mark II together with my Fuji cameras. These cameras were meant to last a lifetime and they still deliver. Thanks for a nice review!
look for people selling camera lens's that were released around the same time as the 5d mk1, if you get lucky people will be selling it as a rear cap, as mattias said, then keep the lens or sell it
In regard to your pinned post. Inspired by this video (the first one I ever saw of your channel) I went hunting for one last December. For $281 I got a very clean one with 2 batteries, battery grip, the EF 75-300mm and the 18-55mm. I sold the lenses and used that money to get a nifty 50. I got my first experience with a FF DSLR and love the pics I take with it.
thank you, mattias. i was waiting for this video, and after i watched it, my desire to buy this camera became stronger. >You are a damn fine photographer ! i have nothing to add
I also bought my 5D Classic on EBay two years ago from a camera shop in Long Beach, CA. It was brand new. I paid $500 for it though. It takes awesome pictures! The lenses i use are 24-105 L, 16-35 L, And 35-350L.
The old 5D when coupled with quality lenses will remain a highly useful camera for as long as any of them are left still working. I put 100K exposures or so on mine over almost 13 years and made printouts as large as 24x48 and only passed it on to the next generation in the family when I decided I'd like something a little more modern and more flexible - the Mark IV.
People say you can always get whatever colors you want if you shoot RAW and work on the photos in post. But first of all, I've never found that to be the case. You always have two colors to deal with, not one. "Getting rid of" a green cast, for example, means changing the greens to more red, etc. And second, it's a huge extra hassle, because presets never work the same on all images. So yes, I love "canon colors" (from my 5DMkII), and for that reason haven't upgraded it to something like the Sony A7RII for pro use. I have used some smaller, much cheaper cameras (Lumix G7, for example) for casual use though, and I always just love the colors when I return to the Canon after a bit of not using it (it a little big and heavy, after all, for less serious stuff). It's not something to be dismissed as mere Canon fanboyism or whatever.
Amazing video! I was actually thinking to buy an old full frame DSLR but ended up buying a new version. The fact that the 5d classic is still good doesn't surprise, and also it's not only the camera, it's the photographer!
Funny Logan Poe said that, I've invested on the A7 mk1 AND the Minolta ROKKOR-X 50mm 1.7 after watching your video!! Not only that, I got the ROKKOR-X 28mm 2.8 as well. Very, very happy with it, all thanks to you.
5D are still rare and expensive here, so ive picked up a 7D instead....as an ex Canon shooter (Sony now) i really enjoy reusing a canon body especially the color!
Hey, just wanted to say that your video greatly assisted me in deciding to go out and buy a 5D classic. I love it so far. Wishing auto ISO was a thing for the manual modes but regardless, I like the challenges it gives me as I'm relatively new to shooting. Thanks for the video!
I still use mine professionally. Most people do not want prints bigger 11 x 14, and even for the rare larger size just uprez in Lightroom. What I like is the colours as you note, as well as how fast the raw files are processed in Lightroom. If you wish to unlock more features or conveniences for this camera, you can change camera firmware and use Magic Lantern.
i completely agree - i still own a 5d classic and i prefer it to my a6000 and a6300. just throw a 50mm 1.8 on it and you have an awesome camera. one of the biggest advantages is actually the price now, since i can use it a lot more "freely" since i dont always have to think about how many monthly salaries (as a student) i hold in my hands (compared to the latest 5d with a decent lens).
I'll shoot my 5D classic with a 24-70 f2.8L over my Sony A7 with the same lens and a metabones v5 adapter any day. Like he said the colors are so good!
I finally saved up a little to order this camera and a 50mm 1.8 stm. I can’t wait to use it. The best deal I could find was $335 for the body and $80 for a almost new lens. I’m pretty happy considering all the great reviews this setup gets...even today in 2019. I’m interested to see if prices get higher.
I finally received my camera and have been shooting pictures with it and I love it! Even the jpeg file right out of the camera is so good I don’t even process in raw anymore, leaves me more time to shoot pictures and enjoy photography again. Shooting in raw and having to process all my pictures afterwords is what killed the joy of photography for me a few years back but now it’s fun again. Thanks for the recommendation.
My favorite "classic" DSLR is the Sony a900. Man did I love that thing. Minolta DNA through and through. IBIS switch, buttons down the left side, narly on/off switch for your left thumb and wicked evil OVF with awesome magnification, no live view, no video, big back screen, wide top deck with lots of space in between buttons- just about perfect if you ask me. They said they actually designed the position of the mirror to direct more light than the average DSLR into the pentaprism. The sound of the mirror slapping was like hearing gods voice thunder from heaven. That cammy with the 50mm 1.4, 85mm 2.8 and 100mm 2.8 minolta macro- going old school commando my friends. Just pure adrenaline. If only you could still get them fixed.
I have a 5d, and I shot it every day until 1/2/2018, when I dropped it from about 5'....right on the lens (35mm f2 IS). The lens spent a whole month at Canon getting fixed, but they wouldn't even look at my 5d. The only thing wrong with it is the AF box is a little crooked, so the AF is not accurate. I can manual focus it and it works like it did when it was new. I bought a 6d to replace it, but the colors just look terrible to me. The best thing I ever did for my photography is shoot a 5d with a 35mm lens for almost an entire year - that was my only lens. You have to overcome all the limitations of a single prime and the cameras limitations. Auto ISO on the 6d and the absurd high ISO capabilities makes me feel like a cheater now. 5d and a single prime (35 or 50) would be my best recommendation to any and all beginners.
I would love to hear your opinion of the Panasonic G80/81/85, what photos you can get out of it and which lenses you would use and what you think about the colours. Great video!
still have mine after all these years. I have a huge dust problem though. Not matter how well i take care of my all cameras, the 5dc is the dust magnet.
Very cool, Mattias! Thanks to your video (and a few others) I decided to go full frame with the classic 5D! I was able to trade my (not so) old 18-55 kit lens and the total cost came out to just shy of $100! Can't wait to try it out with my YN 50mm 1.8 and my Canon 28-135!! It's 2020 and I just got a 15 yo camera!!! Whoohoo!!!! All the best! Ha det så bra!!
This is a good camera, however, buy with caution, i bought mine used back in 2011, its a good camera but its a model that had a recall for the mirror box assembly, mine fell out after one week of owning it, canon did repair it for free, but support for this camera has long been cancelled. The circuit board and lcd display failed shortly after a month of ownership. This was a known issue with this model. Alot of the 5d classics that are for sale may inherit all these issues. I mean, for 100 bucks its a deal, but buy with caution.
Hello, You can go up to 3200 ISO, the option must be enabled in the custom settings. For me the biggest problem with the 5D is that you cannot fine tune the autofocus, this can be a big issue with fast lenses.
Charity 1. Press the “Menu” button to access the menu, and then turn the dial to highlight “Custom Functions” and press the “Set” button. 2. Turn the dial until "C.Fn-08," ISO Expansion, is selected, and then press “Set.” 3. Turn the dial to highlight “On” and press “Set.” 4. Press the “Menu” button to exit the menu

i bought my 5d three months ago. it came with a 50mm/1.8/stm. i usually shoot nearly wide open and have been very pleased with the images. i use the center point af and re-compose. there is no live view. there is no video. heck, there are barely any menu options. with all of the above limits, i still really like the images. thanks for the effort and the sharing. i am a very appreciative subscriber. thumbs up.
smalltalk.productions .....
Great vid!
Love this video, seen it over 10 times and sent it to my family and friends. Everyone should own a 5D classic.
I’m glad you like it 👍
Another great demo that proves, Mattias, that you could produce great images with a milk bottle as a lens!
Robert Holloway That would be a fun experiment :)
You'd grab images that would drive is all nutz :-)
Winding the clock forward another 5 years and I finally got the 5D Classic this year. Seems to be very clean but port rubbers broken and rear buttons a little sticky when rested for a while. Replaced the rubbers with aftermarket kit from eBay. Takes lovely photos and a pure joy to use. Prices are up a bit these days as they have become much sort after again.
All the Digic 2 series cameras had great colors. I look back at photos I took with my old 400D and often times prefer the tonality over my 5D3 and M50
Seems you discovered the secret recipe. Yes, indeed. For those who owned mark2, the secret is in the RAW.
My 5D classic sat in the dry cabinet when the micro 4/3 came out. Using Oly most of the time now. Maybe it's time to play with my old 5D again. Thanks for this video!
You definitely should take it out from time to time.
Have fun! :)
Just bought one. After taxes and shipping it was about 350. What shocked me the most was just how easy it was to learn to use. I love this thing and I cant wait to start playing with it and shooting with it. Great video and you are a fantastic photographer
I love my 5D. I bought it for all the exact same reasons. Great video, subscribed!
Took me one day to find one.

I just bought one yesterday for $300. Third party batteries and charger, but original battery grip. Pretty good deal, and an absolute beast of a camera.
Good deal.
In here 5d classic run around 350 to 400+ usd, but it's true that it's the cheapest ff body
can i buy it off from u?
@@jollibaee-q2v you ask to me or to Mattias?
Unbiased video with beautiful pics and chill music filled with facts. Thanks.
I always regretted selling my 5d.. i was convinced there was a magic to the 12mp sensor and the colours as you say were fantastic. I was at the time convinced i needed the mkii. Now i only shoot film but if i were to go back i would be buying one of these.... so long as this video doesn't shoot the price up
Bill Pickle I don't think it will bump the prices very much since there must be millions of them out there :)
Well...I don't know if there's *millions*, especially since there are few people in the world that can buy top end gear (expensive).
Mattias Burling Well, I'm one of those millions, I own a canon 5D classic and I've never been disappointed by this baby 🔥👌
The colors on this camera are truly something special. I still use my classic 5d over my Mark iii sometimes.
I'll never ever sell my 5D mark I.
Such beautiful photos straight from the camera!
I still miss the look of those photos when I'm using newer gear.
Any suggestions RE the mirror falling out. 5D’s were notorious for that.
I'm still using my 5D Mark II together with my Fuji cameras. These cameras were meant to last a lifetime and they still deliver. Thanks for a nice review!
Glad i picked one up a couple of days ago for $100 AUD, wont be able to find prices like that for a few weeks!
Thanks for the great vid Mattias!
Riley Burling absolute bargain
Iv failed to find a cheap one. They all give me damn expensive listings. Help:-(
look for people selling camera lens's that were released around the same time as the 5d mk1, if you get lucky people will be selling it as a rear cap, as mattias said, then keep the lens or sell it
In regard to your pinned post.
I still use 5D occasionally for pro work. But mainly just passion. In nasty mixed lighting takes exceptional photos compared to anything i tried.
I got my Canon 5D Classic 2 days ago for $199 paired it with my 50mm f/1.4 and the images are really great. It makes me smile all the time. 😁
Sad thing the deals of this camera is gone after you posted this. Now My cheap full frame dream is overrrr lol.
Yummy Tech the prices skyrocketed
yeah i searched and i was like.. 500€ for a mark i..?? i save some money for a new 6d...
You could wait
You could get like a 5d mark II for 500-600 bucks. That's a substantially better camera.
@@thatcherfreeman not really.
I have bought and sold the Canon 5D Classic twice and bought it again recently cause I love the filmic look it has.
thank you, mattias. i was waiting for this video, and after i watched it, my desire to buy this camera became stronger.
>You are a damn fine photographer !
i have nothing to add
Dog peeking from behind at the plate of food with longing eyes ... that was my favorite. Such impressive shots!
man I love your voice and accent! I feel relaxed. great video as always
Eilie Hallak I think that’s 50% of why I watch all of his videos! He the Bob Ross of camera reviews
I also bought my 5D Classic on EBay two years ago from a camera shop in Long Beach, CA. It was brand new. I paid $500 for it though. It takes awesome pictures! The lenses i use are 24-105 L, 16-35 L, And 35-350L.
This would make a really great 1st camera to learn on for not a lot of money.
It's not the camera, it's the photographer.
It's not the photographer, it's the lens cap ;-)
xPPPPP
But you don't need all that equipment, except for when you do..
And when you do Adrian... you got get a full-frame on eBay or Craiglist for next to nothing because it's 99% of the latest camera out there
Jas Bataille lol that's how I roll
One of the best photography videos on youtube
Timothy Roper Im with you. People who say color science doesn't affect raw are plain old wrong.
Amazing video! I was actually thinking to buy an old full frame DSLR but ended up buying a new version. The fact that the 5d classic is still good doesn't surprise, and also it's not only the camera, it's the photographer!
been using the A7 mk 1 recently per your review with NIKKOR glass and it's working BEAUTIFULLY for video work. Thanks man
Logan Poe cool.
I love videos on ‘old’ gear!!! Beautifully done! Thanks!
5D are still rare and expensive here, so ive picked up a 7D instead....as an ex Canon shooter (Sony now) i really enjoy reusing a canon body especially the color!
What's "here"? I ask because it's different where I live (Europe, Serbia), 5D goes for around 250 euros, and 7D is a bit above that.
Beautiful pictures. Any camera in your hands is magic!
Owned the original 5D, the color reproduction is unique. There’s a green / magenta noise almost giving it a film look.
that's a beauty. The engineers at Canon only had Film Cameras to set their benchmarks against.
Oh damn, that's so nice!
Hey, just wanted to say that your video greatly assisted me in deciding to go out and buy a 5D classic. I love it so far. Wishing auto ISO was a thing for the manual modes but regardless, I like the challenges it gives me as I'm relatively new to shooting. Thanks for the video!
Shanne Navarro Have fun :)
I really wanna do this man but I don't have your eBay skills!
You can do it! :)
Without a comma in front of the word 'man', you got me there for a second. ;-)
@@nightcoder5k Maybe he meant both ways.
NIce find, I bought mine December for not a very little money and I use it for everything now - 70D goes to sale soon.
Please make a tutorial on how you edit your pics. Amazing work! Love your videos.
I just love pics where Gunpowder tilts his head to the side with a "?" in his eyes :D
i completely agree - i still own a 5d classic and i prefer it to my a6000 and a6300. just throw a 50mm 1.8 on it and you have an awesome camera. one of the biggest advantages is actually the price now, since i can use it a lot more "freely" since i dont always have to think about how many monthly salaries (as a student) i hold in my hands (compared to the latest 5d with a decent lens).
I'll shoot my 5D classic with a 24-70 f2.8L over my Sony A7 with the same lens and a metabones v5 adapter any day. Like he said the colors are so good!
Matthew Moore and given that the A7 colors aren't exactly bad, that says a lot :)
Sensor has the most velvety blackest black that later cameras lost
Maybe it’s a ccd sensor
If only you could still get them fixed.
thinkinginpictures THKPIC sounds like a cool camera :)
Picked up a 7d classic for $115 this week been loving it
You are a damn fine photographer !
This video made me miss my old 5D Classic so much that I just bought a new one. Great video!
I would love to hear your opinion of the Panasonic G80/81/85, what photos you can get out of it and which lenses you would use and what you think about the colours. Great video!
The very reason I recently bought new batteries for m,y 1Ds Mark 2! The colours and the AWB is just out of this world 👍
I love that you love photography!
still have mine after all these years. I have a huge dust problem though. Not matter how well i take care of my all cameras, the 5dc is the dust magnet.
The 5D is my main shooter. Such a perfect camera imo.
You can extend the ISO range somewhere in the settings. It's just really grainy on the old camera.
Jordan Huisman its the same as on modern cameras. Extended iso is basically like pushing it in post. So I never use it.
Which camera do you use to film your videos?
Just A Random Guy usually a Panasonic GM1 or Fuji X-T20. This was recorded with the Pentax KP.

Neeeeever ever gonna sell my original 5D :-)
‘It’s the sense of purity’ - thanks for making my day!
Hello,
You can go up to 3200 ISO, the option must be enabled in the custom settings. For me the biggest problem with the 5D is that you cannot fine tune the autofocus, this can be a big issue with fast lenses.
myki2000 did not know that, thanks.
