China is a biggest exporter of cars now so I guess we’re in a first wave to get a taste of it. Still using my iPhone (able to buy apps and subscriptions), buying Nikes and driving BMW (able to service it with original parts) and so forth.
Plus many of our industries are now free from foreign competitors on local market so they grow bigger and stronger. The day foreign companies return (and I am definitely sure they will) it’s going to be a rough time to compete with locals again.

These ex franchise restaurants just as any other MCD franchise restaurants have an established supply chains. MC Donald's has a specific potatoes for their fries, specific meat for their burgers etc. So it's logical that in there are specific manufacturers, farmers and plats that supply exact same ingredients to this new Russian McDonald just as to the original one. I wouldn't be surprised that these corporations are still doing business as usual in Russia through different shell companies.

When you are an average ameritard, who can't understand basic things. Do you think with closing down restaurants with their old branding McDonald's waved a magic wand and just made all of the RUSSIAN employees, RUSSIAN managers and all of the ingredients from local RUSSIAN contractors disappear? Lol, a few years prior McDonald's had an ad campaign in Russia, stating that all of their meat and veggies come from local farmers. Even if McDonald's CEOs really decided to leave Russia, what stops local managers (same people that worked here before) to continue operating under another brand? They still have all of the recipes, they still have same workers, etc. And it's really laughable (though it's actually sad) that on the last day of McDonald's work in Russia there were very big crowds in there, which mostly consisted of not really smart young people. It's a shame that consumerist culture has taken such a deep root in all parts of the world.
