@david_kingori Yes, because we have eyes. We're playing the game. We see all the mechanics they implemented are straight from the Souls series, no matter how much they try to pretend it's not.
in terms of combat this is nothing like souls games. The combat is fast, agile, responsive, reflex-based, and there is a ton of offensive skill expression and abilities. All of this is the polar opposite of what souls combat feels like
totally agree with you bro, Elden Ring is easier to me than this because my playstyle is hit and run, but this one is not even the same, small arena and so much action in first 5s most the boss
@@surprisepikachuface2071 Yeah, I watched a review from a Russian guy called SonnyK, and he was complaining about how there are too many bosses and that he wants an open-world game. It’s definitely not for people who prefer more exploration and less complex combat encounters. In fact, I feel like Sekiro players are more likely to enjoy this game than any Soulsborne player, because Sekiro is more combat-oriented than Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, or even Elden Ring. Sekiro legit requires you to play that chess of combat and concentrate on the death-dance. Dark Souls and Elden Ring require less multi-tasking and are much simpler mechanically. Sekiro and Black Myth: Wukong require you to haggle with a lot of mechanics, which is not something everyone can do ’cause just like in your example, there are people who are better at less mechanic-dense combat games.
@@danielantony1882 bro sekiro is harder than Black Myth Wukong, for real the aim lock by the bosses get me leave the game especially the crow from sky, its hard fr than any elden ring clown imagine If Wukong is open world, it will be insane
@@surprisepikachuface2071 Well yeah, obviously. But again, Elden Ring is easier because that’s what you can deal with. Me personally, my brain can’t cope with the fact that Elden Ring bosses fight like Sekiro bosses while I have the basic functions of a DS1-DS3 character, more or less. I legit don’t know what to do with a simple moveset that has huge animation-locks.
Wouldn't the game be harder if you just didn't upgrade as much? Worse equipment and stats would make fights last longer. Elden ring is an easy game if you play it with all the tools available to you. This game looks no different to me.
This game is literally the live or dead debut for game science both in reputation and financial perspectives. So I am okay if this game is too easy for hard core gamers, cuz let’s admit, majority of the player still prefer relaxing game experience. All I hope is they release a dlc for some challenge mode.
It's not a soulslike. The devs said it's not a soulslike. God of War is not a Soulslike. Can people that don't understand what makes a game a "soulslike," please stop calling everything a "soulslike." It doesn't have the level design, crit/backstab mechanic, many upgradable weapons, the stat/upgrade system, or multiple other game systems that make a game a soulslike. A game with Checkpoints and stamina does not make a game a Soulslike Stop, it's embarrassing.
@randomguy3080 No, by Crit, I don't mean a % increase on certain attacks. I mean like the backstab in Souls, visceral in Bloodborne, or stunned poise break "hit the glowing icon" for big damage in Elden Ring, etc. This game is clearly a God of War-like, with incremental weapon upgrades and armor types with passive bonuses, etc. Every game with "stamina" and "Checkpoints" are not a soulslike.
I wouldn't actually call this game a Souls-Like at all. It just feels like a linear story game with the occasional big arena and secret. It has souls-like aspects, but it isn't one overall.
@ImCroozy lol yeah it just has the checkpoint system with respawns of a soulslike, the healing system of a soulslike, the experience gain of a soulslike, the linear world of a soulslike, the dodge stamina combat of a soulslike... but it's not a soulslike 🤦🏻♂️🤣
People see checkpoints and drinking a potion and immediately think its a souls-like .When did a souls-likes give you a whole new moveset? Other than the 'aspects' from souls-like games, it's not a souls-like at all and you're dumb if you think it is.
I’m at the start of act 3 and the black loong secret boss has been the most challenging for me his stupid ground attack. It took me like 7 times to beat him.
People keep are saying it's not a souls-like but then compare it to games like DMC or . It's definitely way closer to souls than anything else mentioned
Nothing like DMC, that's action adventure and hack 'n slash like old GoWs. This is ARPG, like The Witcher, Monster Hunter, Dragon's Dogma, etc. with bonfires, stamina and camera angle taken from Souls. FromSoft games I've played are Sekiro and Demon's Souls, and this doesn't actually play like either of those. Soulslikes I've played are Mortal Shell, Steelrising, Little Witch Nobeta, Lies of P, Code Vein, Asterigos, can't remember if others.
Id argue it is a soulslike. U have the bonfire, dodging, "some hard bosses" (not gon spoil), ng+ system, many secrets, different endings. The fighting style is more like nioh 2 but i would argue that nioh 2 is a soulslike. The only reason why the hordes r crying is bcs its too easy. "Theres no way to make wukong easier" never heard of leveling have ya.
I would call it maybe a souls-lite instead, it has elements of it but does it's own thing it's more akin to the Jedi games that take certain mechanics from souls games but is more of an action game at it's core
@@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll nioh is NOT like a soulslike, it only has similar aspects of it but most of it is very different.. and yes it is more like newer god of war with the skill tree, map, aggressive fighting and some other stuff.
I would say the thing that this game and souls like have in common is they get boss fights right in grandeur ways a lot of games in memory have really struggled with it
It feels like a boss gauntlet, which they said it wasn’t, still great and having fun but already feeling the repetitiveness and not sure there’s replay ability here.
It’s a fucking soulslike. I don’t care what yall say. It’s a hard game. When I boss can send you all the way back to the shrine in 3 fucking hits, yea it’s a bit difficult.
personnally I've been playing the game without the spells, +20 hours, certain bosses are "easy" but some I litteraly spent hours on. I've never played any other Action RPG where I spent hours on a boss other than souls games and Monster Hunter. Despite that the game does have a ton of souls like similarities, I can feel that it's not only souls inspired. So i think it's fair to see the game as a souls like depending on ur playing style since the game gives you a lot freedom. Mobs can be also very tricky.
the headband 紧箍咒(Jin Ji Zhou) he wore at the first scene is given by Buddha to 唐憎(Tang Zheng) to Wu Kong that able to bind Wu Kong when he's trying to do anything bad to his master or something else. the headband will start to shrink and tighten around his head when the monk start chanting. hence why wukong unable to keep his form in the first scene because how much it hurt. As to why it still there after he done his journey with the monk I have no idea. I know the lore but not entirely since i did not study the whole lore out even finished their old to shows but which i recommend watching
We'll find out eventually. A Chinese streamer has been playing this for 30+ hours now and has uncovered multiple endings. We may find out why the Jingu circlet came back. Though it is interesting that during that early part of the intro WuKong said he made sure his master and scriptures were safe first before confronting the army of the Celestial Court.
Its a good game, point. And I'm very happy that I played elden ring before because my experience is a little bit smoother and enjoyable. We don't have to compare every games we play, we can simply just play.
Calling bosses easy when its more like the game is better designed and less cheap than a fromsoft game. Unlike fromsoft, this game gives you a good dodge and tighter controls and a camera that isnt cancer.
Why does it matter if it's too easy or too hard? Just play the game and enjoy it for what it is. Not every person will like the aesthetic or difficulty of ER or DS games. Me for example, I could care less to play Elden Ring, I've played older Dark Souls games but that's about it. I've played Remnant 1& 2 which everyone says is just a souls-like with guns. Those had difficulty modifiers which could appeal to different skilled players. But Wukong being one set difficulty is not a bad thing. Why not just give props to the devs for making a great first game? If you want a souls game to make you cry in frustration, just stick with Elden Ring. Not every game has to appease your souls itch. You spending hours in Elden Rings DLC should not have any comparison to this game because almost every souls like game is going to be easier than ER. Just face that fact. This game is for a broader audience and just a love letter to their culture and stories. I doubt the devs WANTED the game to be hard asf and make their players frustrated. So leave it at that.
When you said “this game is too easy” I felt like damn maybe Im trash, but then you mentioned HIM. that fucking rat 😂 the yellow wind sage was fucking hard. It took me almost 2 hours, I was playing like it wasn’t a soulslike and I was getting destroyed, this game 100% a soulslike I think they lied so they would not scare ppl away.
Yellow Loong and Erlang are way better bosses than yellow wind sage, Yellow loong in my opinion is the hardest boss in the game, it's missable so you probably missed him
This game is amazing, but the variety of what you can do is not enough for a game about wukong. For me is a solid 8, but honestly if it had 2 styles combat (staff and martial arts) and maybe 3 or 4 usable transformations at a time and not just one, it would have been game of the decade. Still, is a very fun game and, when is not stuttering, i am really enjoying it
The game is easy for you not because it's easy, it's simply because you're too good. One reason I never spend time learning frameworks or studying game algorithms is because they are the bane of destroy any enjoyable gaming experience, just focusing on building a stylish character is the way I play.
Wait, no block button? This game really isnt beating the Souls Clones accusations. Relying on rolling, Souls ALWAYS did that, except Bloodborne. And the game not having Difficulty Selection is the worst part. Only Souls masochists are used to that. If the devs really want to scrap the Souls comparisons, then they gotta pull a SIFU & patch Difficulty Selection in. I hate that a common video game feature would have to be patched in when it shouldve already been there, but it's literally the only thing that separates other games from Souls. I'll stick with Star Wars Jedi Survivor for now. I just got it finally, and people compare the Jedi games to Souls, even though Difficulty Selection is there.
As a soouls masochist I wish the wukong had a difficulty option so I can put it on hard. I reached chapter 5 and most amountof attempts a boss took was 7. And that's one only boss. Most bosses were killed first try
Imma start of by saying I can’t put this game down but let’s call it what it is & not kid ourselves , You guys can kill me all you want but this game 100% plays like a souls like in its combat. And it is not even close to DMC, kingdom hearts, bayo, metal gear rising, ninja gaiden etc etc. saying this is not souls like is saying nioh and stellar blade aren’t souls like which they definitely are. Circling around the enemy waiting for openings time and recovery windows on enemies, no real air combat or combat, no juggling, no actual button combos or button delay combos, no double jumps, no style meter or combo gauge, no actual crown control. You have archers sitting at the top of building and instead of having a move set to actually jump up and hit them or pull them towards you or being able to dash in from long range like bayo….you have to find a alternate route to actually go and find and hit them just like in nioh. This game feels like nioh and a little bit of god of war……guys we litteraly have bonfire check points & estuss flasks come on. You can transform into spirits like nioh, it has A STAMINA BAR…..imagine dmc having a stamina bar with only 1 wepon and you completely take away air juggling and just air combat in general. That’s a completely different game
As with any game that has a levelling system and weapon upgrades, the game is as difficult as you want it to be. Definitely very challenging if you stick to base gear. Elden Ring is much easier if you bring upgrade options into the equation.
Yeah one of the marks of a AA game is that they are not very good with sequence breaking. Elden Ring you can mostly run around kill what you want when you want because the developers thought of that. I wouldn't expect the same thing here.
games easy but its fine. I absolutely hate the freaking invisible walls though. That stuff took me out of the game so fast its insane. How can I see my target and yet cant walk to it cause invisible walls?
Fromsoft games are harder than wukong if you want them to be. Summons, spells, cheese strats (standing a km away and spamming arrows even before the fight starts). I have 100% ER, DS3 and Sekiro but I still really like Wukong's difficulty. Main endgame bosses can be difficult but if you find them too difficult you can go do a questline to get a vessel to make it easier (Kinda like Margit and Margit's shackle in ER. Erlang and yellow loong were genuinely hard fights imo much harder than a lot if not most of the fromsoft non dlc bosses. Basically if GOW and souls mixed but it works Graphics wise: Beats everything Story wise: Amazing lore and much easier to understand than souls stories (Not necessarily a good thing but then I doubt your average gamer likes needing to read item descriptions and watching lore videos to understand what the game is trying to tell you) Combat wise: Honestly really good. Not much weapon style variety though Main Bosses (Lots of side bosses are cool but not really rememberable) : Mostly fair and there are many multi phase bosses as well. Builds: Due to less weapon type variety this is where the game lacks the most but there are some interesting ones like the poison build and finding what transformation/spell/vessel/spirit is best for that particular boss is fun. Best thing is the free reset.
Lol, for me Yellow Sage was nothing compared to Tiger Vanguard and Black Loong in chapter 2, Sage died on first attempt while Tiger made me rage quit twice and i had like 20 tries with Loong. ;)
Never called itself a souls-like. Everyone who is upset about it not being a Souls-like game brought their disappointment on to themselves. Pretty sure people have forgotten that no difficulty scaling is not a Souls-like thing. That's been a common thing for decades.
Boss Rush: Wukong is really the proper category not Souls-Like. Gratz on your gaming accomplishments. FYI, not everyone can game everyday let alone 8-12hrs a day to get to elitest lvls of game play. Most ppl game 20-30 hrs a week bc they have lives outside of gaming. I imagine the difficulty is scaled for the majority not the minority. Furthermore, Souls games (except ER) start out on the same lvl but as a player further progresses they have more flexibility to scale the difficulty. Elden Ring difficulty is a joke bc you can break the game from the start making it either stupid easy or stupid hard.
Not sure what this most controversial souls like you are talking about is but Black Myth Wukong is a fun game that is not a souls like it much more similar to god of war or biomutant
This is a beautiful video, my guy. I loved the stream, too, and I loved how you actually talked about the game with honestly and not glaze it because they get paid or something
The one or two arguments for not a souls like.. 1. You do not lose anything upon death. 2. The developer said so The countless arguments for is a souls like.. 1. Stamina bar 2. No difficulty setting 3. Large Emphasis on dodge rolling 4. Rest stations which regenerate heals and respawn all enemies in the environment 5. Heavy emphasis on boss design 6. Multi-phase boss fights 7. Weird yet interesting lore
Linear boss run with a ton of invisible walls, laggy feeling attack combos and very laggy heavy attack. The levels look flat and boring, also there is no actual map which makes it worse. Wish they released a demo. Regret paying full price for this cheap feeling game. This game is NOTHING like Dark souls or Elden Ring.
I don’t care about the developers just like I don’t care about the guys that make my toothbrush- I just care if it works and with games also if I enjoy it! That’s it point blank!
I agree that the game is significantly easier compared to Elden ring but why not handicap yourself to make it more challenging, for example don’t use spells(especially the freeze one) or use transformations. Currently what I’m doing and it makes the game more fun.
Mate, the fact you have a passion for and so much time to spend on games like Elden Ring to the point of learning how to beat them at level 1, holding the gamepad with your feet and pressing the buttons with your dick doesn't mean that this game is easy. It was advertised as a game that everyone could enjoy but it's not like that at all. Only chapter 1 is easy if you have some experience in the genre, but from chapter 2 it gets even harder than a From Software game. I found even Sekiro easier than some bosses in Wukong. It's definitely way harder than I'd like it to be, especially since it was sold as a chilled action game. Hardcore gamers with a fetish for extreme challenge and hundreds of hours to spend on a single game should start understanding that they're just a niche. The rest of gamers are normal people with a life who enjoy playing a game in their free time and don't want to waste that precious time repeating the same boss over and over again and adding more stress to their already stressful lives.
Ngl I already thought the game looked to easy. I’d be more interested in it if it was harder. I’m not gonna buy a game for 70€ and breeze through it in 25h. I’ll get it on sale tho it doesn’t look bad

there is one tho, first ability of smash stance during light combo, by doing a heavy attack on the right timing you actually deflect the enemy attack and u don't receive damage
@@david_kingoriThe creators can be wrong. Them making a game doesn’t automatically make them the authority of how to categorize things.
@@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll creators spent years on it, players have spent hrs or days...yet the players know best? Ok.
@david_kingori Yes, because we have eyes. We're playing the game. We see all the mechanics they implemented are straight from the Souls series, no matter how much they try to pretend it's not.
Can totally relate on the Yellow Wind Sage. Got stuck on him last night after breezing through everything up til that point.
Calling games souls likes is demeaning because it just seems they’re generic.
I don't get y people care if is a souls game or not at least it's fun to play and this was not supposed to be a souls game
It’s not a souls like and it just has souls like elements
in terms of combat this is nothing like souls games. The combat is fast, agile, responsive, reflex-based, and there is a ton of offensive skill expression and abilities. All of this is the polar opposite of what souls combat feels like
ever heard of Thymesia?
totally agree with you bro, Elden Ring is easier to me than this because my playstyle is hit and run, but this one is not even the same, small arena and so much action in first 5s most the boss
@@danielantony1882 bro sekiro is harder than Black Myth Wukong, for real the aim lock by the bosses get me leave the game especially the crow from sky, its hard fr than any elden ring clown
imagine If Wukong is open world, it will be insane
@@surprisepikachuface2071 Well yeah, obviously. But again, Elden Ring is easier because that’s what you can deal with. Me personally, my brain can’t cope with the fact that Elden Ring bosses fight like Sekiro bosses while I have the basic functions of a DS1-DS3 character, more or less. I legit don’t know what to do with a simple moveset that has huge animation-locks.
How about we just say... It's just a game, instead of having to put a tag on it.
Apparently it has been stated that this isn’t Sun Wokong more like a descendant of him.
19 Achievements at the end of Chapter 4? You probably missed most of the optional boses which are the most fun and challenging, explore more :)
It feels almost just like GOW.
Kinda weird to say it's too easy when you still haven't beaten the game
i gotta say i dont think steam/people know what a souls like is since they marked god of war a souls like 💀💀
🗿🗿🗿
Wouldn't the game be harder if you just didn't upgrade as much? Worse equipment and stats would make fights last longer. Elden ring is an easy game if you play it with all the tools available to you. This game looks no different to me.
fair point
💯 agree
This game is literally the live or dead debut for game science both in reputation and financial perspectives. So I am okay if this game is too easy for hard core gamers, cuz let’s admit, majority of the player still prefer relaxing game experience. All I hope is they release a dlc for some challenge mode.
It's not a soulslike.
The devs said it's not a soulslike.
God of War is not a Soulslike.
Can people that don't understand what makes a game a "soulslike," please stop calling everything a "soulslike."
It doesn't have the level design, crit/backstab mechanic, many upgradable weapons, the stat/upgrade system, or multiple other game systems that make a game a soulslike.
A game with Checkpoints and stamina does not make a game a Soulslike
Stop, it's embarrassing.
Clearly is
It’s absolutely a soulslike.
It does have crit system, an upgradable weapon system. As for the stat system I guess if you count armor changes and stuff
"This game is too easy"
"Im only up to chapter 2"
3:00 hey so that's not how quotes work when i say im almost done with chapter 4 of 6 total chapters
I am in chapter 6 and it really doesn’t get harder tbh, it’s mindless spamming spells and overwhelming the boss before he can do anything really
@@khaleddwl5192 What did you expect? It’s not a souls-like.
I wouldn't actually call this game a Souls-Like at all. It just feels like a linear story game with the occasional big arena and secret.
It has souls-like aspects, but it isn't one overall.
People see cool boss "it's a souls games look"
@ImCroozy lol yeah it just has the checkpoint system with respawns of a soulslike, the healing system of a soulslike, the experience gain of a soulslike, the linear world of a soulslike, the dodge stamina combat of a soulslike... but it's not a soulslike 🤦🏻♂️🤣
@@taxicorky yeah, its a DMC-like
@@taxicorky thank you these people Are insane, they really are trying to convince people that it isn’t a souls like game.
People see checkpoints and drinking a potion and immediately think its a souls-like .When did a souls-likes give you a whole new moveset? Other than the 'aspects' from souls-like games, it's not a souls-like at all and you're dumb if you think it is.
Before the game even came out, the creator of the game said it wasn't a soulslike game.
This game seems sick, don't think I'll be able to run it on my PC so it'll have to wait for a future build unfortunately
GOTY no competition
If Wukong is a souls-like, then you better agree that Sekiro is a Souls game. If not, your logic is fundamentally flawed. 😂
Instead of souls-like, I’d call it a Ninja Gaiden like.
yeah its not a soulslike, it plays more like the newer god of war games if you had to compare it to other games
It’s absolutely nothing like god of war. It’s very similar to Nioh 2, which is 100% a soulslike.
@@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll nioh is NOT like a soulslike, it only has similar aspects of it but most of it is very different.. and yes it is more like newer god of war with the skill tree, map, aggressive fighting and some other stuff.
I would say the thing that this game and souls like have in common is they get boss fights right in grandeur ways a lot of games in memory have really struggled with it
I must have a different version the wolf and big head whooped my azz
It feels like a boss gauntlet, which they said it wasn’t, still great and having fun but already feeling the repetitiveness and not sure there’s replay ability here.
The game has 81 bosses which translate to the 81 trials the whole team had to go through in the Journey of the West.
It’s a fucking soulslike. I don’t care what yall say. It’s a hard game. When I boss can send you all the way back to the shrine in 3 fucking hits, yea it’s a bit difficult.
First time playing a action RPG game?
It's not soul like of course, but it good and fun to play. That is enough.
personnally I've been playing the game without the spells, +20 hours, certain bosses are "easy" but some I litteraly spent hours on.
I wish content creators never discovered souls games because now everything is a souls game for them lol
Black myth wukong does share some souls aspect, but ultimately, it has its own thing going for it
I cracked up at the licking pole comment. 😂 definitely Wukong mischief there bro.
The game is a soulslike game
I was getting frustrated with that boss, especially cause of the tornado and him staying out of bounds. Finally beat him yesterday though.
No one cares if it's hard just give a good game that's all the story matters more
Yellow Loong and Erlang are way better bosses than yellow wind sage, Yellow loong in my opinion is the hardest boss in the game, it's missable so you probably missed him
I can confirm that this is a hack and slash game.
Black Myth Wukong is a Hack n Slash game
NO IT ISN’T‼️
Never played a hack and slash in your life then.
This plays nothing like a hack n slash.
@@Walt_Xander94 Black Myth Wukong is not just rolling it is about perfect dodging and u can parry.
If its souls like it is trash its that simple.
I'm at chapter 4. 25 hours.
400 deaths.
Really hard. But this is the only game I played this year.
Lmao call it what you want. I'm 20 hours in and it's definitely a soulslike 😅
It is a soulslike for sure.
I think there is data somewhere that indicates that mentioning the phrase "soul like" for action rpg games get more clicks.
games easy but its fine.
Basically if GOW and souls mixed but it works
Graphics wise: Beats everything
Story wise: Amazing lore and much easier to understand than souls stories (Not necessarily a good thing but then I doubt your average gamer likes needing to read item descriptions and watching lore videos to understand what the game is trying to tell you)
Combat wise: Honestly really good. Not much weapon style variety though
Main Bosses (Lots of side bosses are cool but not really rememberable) : Mostly fair and there are many multi phase bosses as well.
This reminds me of wulong dynasty without the leveling systems
It reminds me a lot like Dynasty Warriors. Same play style and similar boss fights. High pace mob killing rpg. With the same difficulty
This is a beautiful video, my guy. I loved the stream, too, and I loved how you actually talked about the game with honestly and not glaze it because they get paid or something
Let's face it. Soulslike is just a marketing term nowadays that developers and game companies slap on their game to attract more potential customers.
The one or two arguments for not a souls like..
1. You do not lose anything upon death.
2. The developer said so
The countless arguments for is a souls like..
1. Stamina bar
2. No difficulty setting
3. Large Emphasis on dodge rolling
4. Rest stations which regenerate heals and respawn all enemies in the environment
5. Heavy emphasis on boss design
6. Multi-phase boss fights
Soulslike or not this game clears every single from software game and u cant deny it but can cry about it 😂
This souls-like, git gud, I’m a souls vet this is too easy for me cringy shenanigans really has to stop.
Yeah is a item that breaks the tornadoes and knock him
I don’t care about the developers just like I don’t care about the guys that make my toothbrush- I just care if it works and with games also if I enjoy it! That’s it point blank!
2000hrs is 83 days
Yeah yellow wind sage is a pretty fair boss. But theres certain animations if love to have for my character
Wind sage is kicking my ass right now lol
Wait... There was an item that made the wind sage easy... Damn i no wonder i got clapped... Oh well i clapped him back so it doesn't bother me now
By the way the parry mechanic isn't inconsistent. You just don't know how to use it.
It has some souls mechanics but it's definitely not a souls-like
Not a souls like more like GOW
It’s not even close to being similar to god of war. It’s 100% a soulslike.
@@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll no it’s not it’s like GOW and Elden ring 200% not a soulslike.
The rest of gamers are normal people with a life who enjoy playing a game in their free time and don't want to waste that precious time repeating the same boss over and over again and adding more stress to their already stressful lives.
ill wait for your fight with yin tiger, yellow long and erlang.. they are the most challenging, at least for me
I let the two rock monsters fight it was awesome just to watch
Ngl I already thought the game looked to easy. I’d be more interested in it if it was harder. I’m not gonna buy a game for 70€ and breeze through it in 25h. I’ll get it on sale tho it doesn’t look bad
The sage hides behind an invisible wall, dont know if its a bug or something but its really annoying
He cheesed the rock guy that's why he fast forward
No, he bought the deluxe version with upgraded armor and weapons
