Anyone managed to get the timelapse feature to work ? Can't get it started here regardless of whether I set it to Chinese time (cam's time) or my phone's time.

Hello, thanks for the video. I was struggling with the Chinese language only setup language. One question (for now) does the camera have to have an SD card to record, or can it record to computer or tablet/phone directly? If it can record via Wi-Fi, how do I enable video capture to an external device rather than the camera directly? Any help appreciated. Thanks again.
i have 2 yi home cams already andthey use the YI home app, but if i install the mihome app i cannot access my yi cams. So i guess i'd have to use 2 separate apps to view my cams if i get this xiaomi?

Has anyone managed to get around the problem of the 'Gallery' no longer working, due to an enforced plugin update on Mi Home (Android)?
It always used to work, but now when I click on Gallery to review today's or previous days' videos it just stays on a blank screen, with a circular timeout animation. The headings on this screen are now in Chinese whereas they used to be in English.
Worked it out - there's a bug. Stuff only appears in the 'Gallery' if you take a screenshot. Now that it works, it's much improved - left/right swiping for fine seeking control

Can I use the microphone to hear live sound where the camera is placed? like a baby monitor maybe. Or will it just detect certain sounds, motions and then alert me?
+Faisal Rashed you can use it to listen to the audio, but it will not be as effective as the baby monitor.
I try to connect to my router, and it doesn't work. I need to switch security to WPA instead of WPA/WPA2.. Problem is xiaomi router doesn't support ony WPA option to be selected. So on this own router I can't use this camera.
What's the power cable lenght?
the camera is good, excellent quality and the night vision is also very good.
the error/info messages on the app are in Chinese, not sure how I can view in English (though my miHome app language is set to English)
the miHome app also crashes at times.
If you leave your home, can you have real feed from it? and how.

Also, another question. Can you select specific region when monitoring? Like maybe just focus on the kitchen door instead of everything else on the screen

I bought the Xiaomi Dafang pan/tilt model and for the life of me, I can't get the app to add the camera - even if I use the Mainland China server. Maybe my camera is defective?

I am currently using this camera and I let the camera to record for 24 hours. After almost three days, it used 8000MB. I don't want to buy a larger micro SD card. Is there any way to delete previous recorded videos through the phone?

While it looks like a well made product and an excellent price, the idea of having all my video uploaded into a mysterious cloud service is a show stopper for me. This seems to be baked into this product with no option to use without the cloud service.

I bought 3 and I have a problem with my camera. I installed and connected everything but whenever I leave the house with LTE enable. I could not view my camera, it shows online on the app. But when i am home and connected to the house's wifi. It works perfectly. I tried viewing my dog but I don't get any notification when my dog run around when i am away either.
Anyone have solution to this, please reply. I would appreciate it. Thank you !

I guessing it's your router settings. Make sure PNP is enable in your router.
They just updated the ISO apps again , we are now full English, they also fixed my issue.
