F4-C crew chief, 36 TFS Yokota Japan/Osan Korea, 1967 to 1969. It was great talking to you and getting to see the F4 up close again! Hard to believe it is the only flyable F4 in existence. Thanks for all your work!
Well we stayed late after the show and was going to head back your way but my son wanted the Thunder Birds pilots autograph and the cops came by and rudely thru everyone out..😢 ... 😂, It's was an awesome show nonetheless!! That Skyraider Demo was killer, got some good pictures of the F4 too as we arrived. Keep up the great work on her and hopefully.....
That would’ve been cool, stinks that they started chasing everyone out afterward. The pilot that flew the Skyraider, also flew the Mig-15 (Saturday), and the Me-262 (Sunday).
It was so fun working for this event, I am in the commemorative AirForce and was in it during this airshow, and it was SO FUN. Thanks again for coming to this event, and keep ‘em flying!
Very nice! Some of those old birds look familiar. I wonder how many are from Planes of Fame in Chino, CA? I LOVE the sound of those old radials at low idle. YUM! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Man, I don't even know where to start. Awesome video! The ME-262 flight was beautiful, the tour on the B-25, all the warbirds... and the Skyraider. The only thing that could drop bombs, fire rockets, strafe the bad guys, shoot down MIGS... and haul passengers and cargo 😂! I hope our favorite girl can tear the skies on next year's event (sooner, if possible), to show the other jets who's boss! Thanks for sharing it 07.
Me neither. It's just a little bit comfier than a slightly crushed sardine can. We really can't imagine it by just looking at the airplane from the outside.
Our peasure, glad you enjoyed the show and the video. I picked up some new camera mounts for the GoPro, and I’m looking into a different camera with an optical zoom for next years show. And yes, hopefully our phavorite Phantom will be phlying soon!
That was some great video, buddy! 😁 I was unaware that Japan had so many AT-6's 😲 The Spad demo was fabulous. I'm sure many a Vietnam jet vet shed a few tears 😅 Keep up the great work! Neal in OKC
Nice video. I would have liked to have seen more of the Phantom and maybe talked to some of the folks looking at it. I posted a video a couple of years ago called WHO from the cockpit. It was from Christopher's go pro. I took it and did a poor editing job. It's a little long but you can fast fwd.
Had a great time on Saturday and it was nice talking to you a bit after the show
Glad you enjoyed the show, and it was nice meeting you as well!
I envy you dude ..... so many cool planes, all working as well
Thanks! A unique opportunity for sure! And we’re always looking for volunteers
That NC8 brought back memories. Those things would do about 60 across the ramp. 😂 Thanks for the video!
That Detroit Diesel always fires up for us, though ours does not go that fast. Glad you are enjoying them!
Great show. What a pleasure to see the F4 again.
It was a great show. And it was awesome to have the aircraft out, both for people seeing them for the first time and veterans reconnecting with them!

Our pleasure, glad you enjoyed her and the show! Unless there are some flyers at the Boneyard, she’s the only flyer in the country.
Iran has 58 Operational F-4 Phantoms still in service.

Our pleasure! We'll be out again this year too!
@@DieselThunderAviationgreat to have you coming!
Can't keep us from the airshow! Not like we have to go far either, just a short tow out to the ramp.

That's a good question, though one I don't know the answer to. They looked great, and I also love the sound of those big round engines!
Good job on spotting that FOD 🧐.
Thanks! 😃
Awesome! I'll be putting in some vacation time for that and will be there..
Awesome, hope to see you there!
Neat! Nice aircraft, nice weather, nice video!!
Thank you! Really good weather on both days, though a bit windier on Sunday.
Love the Phantom. It is amazing that those Zeros & Kates actually are the props in the 70`s movie "Tora Tora Tora" are still attacking!

I myself hadn't realized how tight the space is in the Mitchell.

Yeah, they do a great job with that Skyraider! First time I’d been up close with a 3350 starting up too.
6:21 the more you know… it wasn’t quite the replica guns I was expecting I feel slightly cheated 😅
We have the reverse I think on the Me-262. The replica cannons are installed, but no barrels!
Great video, man! I’m sure we will be working together soon! 😁
Thank you, looking forward to it! Nice channel by the way!
I stopped and talked to F-4 Al. You were busy. See ya next time.
Sorry to have missed you. Must have been Saturday?
Yes, saturday.@@DieselThunderAviation

That whole weekend was a blur. I’m gonna try and capture some of the Phantom veterans getting up close and personal and reconnecting next year!
You will...
Hey guys, I have my head set from my Air Force days if you need some.
We have an assortment of those, but it probably wouldn't hurt to have an extra!
When is the next airshow?
For us, October 2024. There is another one nearby in Galveston, though not sure when that one is.
