There's a big difference between a colored diamond and a white diamond with a yellow cast! The only true way to value this stone is to take it out of the setting and send it go a lab!

with a diamond size of 1.5C, the color isn'[t the biggest factor, it's clarity and cut, not so much a slight yellow tint into the I-J-K color.

These people have over-inflated ideas of the value of jewellery....
Why don't these people take there gold / silver to coin shop are hock shop they will get whole scape value without others getting profit
Because it's often a long way to find where to scrap and often the dealers only make a few quid on top.
Very few places pay full scrap value,they need to make a profit..that includes pawn brokers..
