People saying Men-at-arms(MAA) are the cheaper better alternative forget a few things. 1. MAA die to reapers, zweihanders, cav and now this unit. 2. What's better than one MAA? Two MAA. 3. This unit can eat up an infinite amount of units on the flanks 4. The immunity on their 1 ability means you can eat up cav, trebs etc. There's a huge outplay potential 5. one or two units of queen's knights can basically turn a blob fight massively in your favour. Finally, most of us are still missing their special doctrines. If you get the '2 seconds' block doctrine after using their 1, you basically have: 1 second of full immunity, 1 second of 70% less damage done by units hit by 1 + block status up on the unit and then a final second of just the 70% damage reduction. Meaning practically 3 seconds of heavy/full damage reduction. The 1 will be up again before you know it, and maybe i'm seeing things, but it feels like their 2 reduces cooldown on 1 when killing units. Also, without the 5 seconds cooldown reduction on 2 doctrine, you find yourself having a 'gap' in their skill rotation. those 5 seconds will matter a lot and may make a bot line or hybrid line very viable. Too early to call, but because they already perform well on day 1 and out of the box means they're probably here to stay. See what happened to Zweihanders over time? Minimal buffs, now they're everywhere as well.
9:17 Hey ! That was me ! :p Weird thing about these bois, is when you get insta-deleted by them with your 37-40k hp, the death details only shows 11k damage
The only thing I know so far is that depending of the enemy units, of the map, and of the overall team's level, without trying to overshadow the unit itself and taking in account no doctrines and a low level, mauls suck.
Masterful video, sir. Another timeless classic. 🫡 Also, "quite a good move by this guy," @16:05 is me with the ol' explosive arrow + prefecture pike charge. Actually hilarious.
Thanks for the quality content Plum, as always. Here is a question for you; Is the Stamina Doctrine V works on these guys? the one reduces the charge cooldown %24 and increases the charge targets by 1.
i've quit playing CB yet again after the last crappy season but the answer is no, that doctrine does not work because you cant even use it on these @@daltonbrinker7551
We did some testing aswell and they killed the men at arms. Additionally, I think the ironsides doctrine can help them a lot as it makes them tankier plus whatever effect you may have additionally like increasing dmg by 120 during ironsides. So far it looks like this. They beat men at arms and orochi for example, might be really good against cav charges if they are bundled up with their immunity. But they get slapped by zweihanders (as any melee unit gets slapped by them) and iron reapers at least if they have their very heavy armor still max
The testing my house did, we came to the conclusion that anything with meaningful CCI kills the unit. They killed reapers, orochi, MAA but died to zwies and palace gaurd.
Nice one Plum! Looks like a unit that could do decently well with top doctrines. Will be interesting to see if the other build is more viable after this doctrine event as you mentioned.
unit testing, ive beat iron reapers, outright not a single unit lost, same with men at arms, even had half make it thought a hussar charge, try my docs i use. time the 1 correctly engage, then pop it queens knight battle doc, epic damage doc, unit damage doc II, iron damage doc II, anti-infanty doc II
Hi Plum hope u doin well, maybe they are good cav counter ? I mean they won’t take dmg for 2 sec right time right stab and counter a cav charge maybe one thing work for them
I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed with how this unit turned out. I've been saving some great charge doctrines for them, but I guess those won't work on them. I also don't like the aggression and lack of staying in formation. Here's hoping for a buff for these guys - defense is what they need, imho. At least the Percival's Guards received the exact buff I suggested they should get.
bruh... they kill javs and men at arms easily. Just finished playing an hour ago. Was their a patch recently that changed something or what? I didn't play for like 10 days
In my opinion the 1 skills cooldown should be shorter BTW if you need some help to test them, feel free to ask, in game nick name - Razeron I have already maxed them out.
Bottom line is much better. I have them maxed with great doctrines and can rack up 100+ with 0 losses, but there are games where they suicide cuz the ai is so bad. At the beginning of my match I put them in a formation on stairs of a map playing defense as everyone does. After 2 minutes I see them dying and seen they were fighting open field, the ai is garbage
I like this season None of the units this season feel broken except the range on the new javs. It's like having t4 retiarii with shields but that is countrrable too. Last season the cav felt a bit broken and in the season before that one mushas and orochi samurai were brutally op. So cb is improving. But men at arms and rattan crossbows need a nerf
I think they balanced. People cry too much. They want evry new unit to be extremly broken. They are fine. Not too strong not too weak.I believe this last seasons they did much more of a better job with balance.
Im having a blast with these guys almost always get 5-900 score with them alone the trick is to know what engagements to take and which ones not to, they are terrible in a prolonged brawl but great at quickly bursting a unit so you either fight a unit you can take out solo quickly, or have some support and cycle them in. They are pretty decent anti cav cos you can invuln the charge damage with good timing. And they are extremely fast so they make a great flanking unit. My only dislike is that their attack AI is awful, press V with them and they run off in different directions even chasing random stragglers over a full ranged unit thats much closer. Need to X move them right into an enemy unit then press your buttons, plus they have a loose formation so often a few get separated/push into enemies too deep and die but overall really like them. They can solo reapers as well as long as its a clean 1v1 without taking much if any losses.
No are strong as many players think, vs many Golden tier die easy also the men of arms is more cheap & better vs gold tier, skip this unit & farm for longsword for destroy shields the current meta spamers*
Finally, i was waiting all day for the video!
Thank you Plumsion gor the great content!

How do you use the lancelots currently
Awesome vid Plum. Can't wait for this seasons tier lists. Where would you put the Queen's Knight?

Haven't tested that would give it a try

Yeah I think they are good! Few days and I reckon, il figure out how I fully want to play them

vassal longbowman vs imperial shields which one should i take first?
Hi Plum hope u doin well, maybe they are good cav counter ? I mean they won’t take dmg for 2 sec right time right stab and counter a cav charge maybe one thing work for them
Do charge doctrins work on these guys since run em through is not a proper charge?
Can you play cc units such as sipahi, axe rider, myrumillo???
I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed with how this unit turned out. I've been saving some great charge doctrines for them, but I guess those won't work on them. bruh... they kill javs and men at arms easily. Just finished playing an hour ago. Was their a patch recently that changed something or what? I didn't play for like 10 days
much better now yes :)
"I've been enjoying them but they're hard to get a good game with". Never seeing this unit again then.
they would be good but MAA exist
@@Plumsion Whats the point of other units if MAA and "3" key exist :D
You had a lot of fun on this I see
What's the unit kits cost
Who cares?
i care jerk.@@bizon4129

Lol lancelot broken and op
Such a shame. Theyre more of 3 1/2 star blue units.
Lol anyone noticed krigi
how much money did you spend on this game?
To much
I think they balanced. People cry too much. They want evry new unit to be extremly broken.
They are fine. Not too strong not too weak.I believe this last seasons they did much more of a better job with balance.
They could have been better if they have cover commander, it fits them for my opinion. But hey, that's why they call Queen knights lol
