  • An introduction to the Shin Box with the addition of the Double Monkey Hang. Improves hip mobility and strengthens hip hinge. Once in beginning Shin Box, the addition of the Double Monkey Hang increases thoracic extension. This allows you to sit deeper into your hips, deepening the stretch. Gripping the sticks, hanging, and pushing the sticks into the ground works the lats and pulls the scaps down, helping you stay extended and increasing irradiation. Activating your grip and trunk power provides you with greater proximal stability while in Shin Box. Once you can own this position with good posture, active hip hinge can be added, activating the glutes and posterior chain while strengthening your hip hinge. This drill uses two 4 or 5-foot sticks, depending on your height.

    Ok to add some leverage like sitting on an Airex pad ? Not easy to get into that position. Got my sticks today. Thanks
