Excuse me, operating a device with 5 volts when it is supposed to operate only with 3 volts is definitely screwing the motor soon! You could've better replaced the batteries with rechargeable ones instead or connect the shaver to a 3v adapter.

Can a wall plug be used instead of connecting to a laptop?
Of course not, you can't connect the device to 110v or 220v, but you can use an adapter (3v) .
nope nope definitely not, unless voltage output is about 3-5 volts and .5amp
