Amber knows all the right words to say to cover up and excuse her bad behavior as a mom. She knows exactly what Anna is asking for and what she needs and she acts like she doesn’t understand Anna’s communication.
I know it's such bullshit she knows damn well that girl is not asking for a "party" she's asking her just to be happy for her this lady is so manipulative that she actually believes the shit that comes out of her mouth and it's sad
She didn't want a party, she just wanted her mom to support her.
Anna was ready to leave, confident on her ability to make it on her own but Amber just busted in to destroy all that confidence.
Of course they treat her differently. I don't see them being this picky about Elizabeth despite the fact that she's younger.
Anna's tears and frustration were heartbreaking to watch. This was no reality show setup. Anna has, at times, been disobedient but not in any scary way. When they were in therapy, didn't the therapist ask them if they were trying to get rid of Anna by forcing her to live away from home when she went to college? They've always treated her like a problem child.
Does anyone know if Anna finished college? The timeline is a bit confusing. It seems like the kids are still in school and they're being pushed out. Crazy.
Anna is still in school but not living at the college due to pandemic.

Sad. She should have still been able to do school at home in peace and comfort. Why didnt they allow her too. Only way to be on own is quit and get fulltime job. A shame these kids cant finish college at home. Stop and hear your children. I think their setting anna up to fell.

I can't handle mommy dearest anymore. She claims to love her adopted child but her behavior, tone, and attitude certainly don't back that claim up. Says she cares but her actions and tone say otherwise. Yes, all kids mature at different rates regardless of their physical age. That, I could understand if it was actually was true. Sadly, since their series started I've noticed a huge discrepancy between mom's words and actions when compared to her reactions with other children in the same scenario. Mom's behavior does not pass the BS sniff test.

The last episode she had her back to Anna while talking to Emma and Alex re their chinese New years, i did not see her engage with her at all. And when Elizabeth grabbed Anna's keys to move Annas car so Amber could leave, Elizabeth gave Anna a nasty hate stare, she too acts like her mother. What is it about Anna that Amber dislikes so much?
She jealous because the daddy pay more attention to Anna and the mama can't take it that's bad your own daughter you don't like the mama is a mama dearest that's for sure spending them kids money up and now you ready for them to move

Not her biological child, she treats the bio. kids are much different. That is not right, get your cit together, and treat them all the same. Amber and Trent, you know you treat them kids differently. Anna is the sweetest girl, and she tries hard but gets little recognition for her accomplishments. Anna also has a great personality. If we didn't know she was not your biological child she would act just like Trent with all her joking. BE PROUD!
All Anna said was that the way Amber treated her in the situation was different than her siblings and she's right. All she wanted was some 'I'm happy for you' before the 'have you thought about....' conversation. Instead it jumped straight to all the reasons why she would fail. Imagine trying to have the confidence to try something if the first people who tell you you're gonna fail are the ones who are meant to support you no matter what. I appreciate that Trent and Amber just want their kids to be okay and to be prepared like any parent naturally does, but sometimes that means supporting failures and giving them confidence even if you're worried it won't work out. Being frank and being unfairly harsh are two different things. They could have expressed their worries for Anna in a different way at a different time. Be excited, ask what her plans are, ask her what shes thinking, then work WITH her to be sure shes prepared instead of tearing apart her plans from the get go and showing her that you think she's going to fail before even trying.
This hits different when you are adopted…
When you have toxic adoptive parents the minute you try to get away from that situation suddenly you are ungrateful.
Anna will never be able to say what she needs without sounding ungrateful.

Anna wanted to work in the daycare full time, where she is comfortable doing it, but Amber basically ordered her to work as a substitute teacher to work whenever they needed her, and now she is saying that Anna needs a full time job. Who in the world is going to understand her? Wait until she doesn’t have any children at home, and then she is going to say that she misses them. How in the world are they going to keep filming the show?

If she and Trent can treat all the kids the same they need to cancel the show. TLC should not represent the parent's behavior. IT IS A FAMILY CHANNEL, OR SUPPOSE TO BE IF TRENT AND AMBER COULD STOP THE BEDROOM TALK. WHICH IS VERY SICKENING TO ME, AND A LOT OF OTHERS.

That is what I want to say to Anna....Amber is always micromanaging her kids lives....she said so in this video....I don't know what she is doing...well guess what Amber she doesn't have to tell you her plan if she is over 18 she does not need your permission to do anything. Amber and Trent needs to realise that nobody is ready to move out of their parents home financially, emotionally and responsible.
Have it ever occurred to them that Anne wants to move out to get away from them...the parents. Trent said they treat their kids equally, no they don’t. Amber comes across so mean when she talking to Anna.

You talk to your kids, don't belittle them. We were young kids at one time and we made mistakes, but people want their kids to be perfect. It's hard to watch, but kids will learn from their mistakes.
@@dimpleboynton5993 exactly even as big hard back adults we still mess up. I think too often we as parents forget what is was like to be young and even though we may not want our children to make the same mistakes we did, there are still times where we have to let go and let them see for themselves, but I have learn as a parent that many times children just need you to hear them out, even if you think within yourselves that they have no idea what they are speaking about, just listen, hear them out and then calmly explain to them your side and work from there.

You know I don’t really make comments about shows but this one’s kind of got to me I’ve been watching the show from the beginning and I truly feel that Anna is treated different then the rest of the kids. This is from an outsider looking in. And they don’t parent all five of them the same and they’re kind of showing the world that and that’s my opinion. Donna

Last season and this season Amber is really showing the real her. It's obvious how different she treat Ana. When Amber planned the New Year's celebration tradition in honor of two of her adopted kids, she did not include Ana. That had to hurt Ana a lot. Trent treat Ana with more respect.

I have watched this show for years now, and I do see a difference in how they treat Anna, All Anna wanted from Amber was for her to be happy for her, not a Party, to be happy and proud of her.
The mother has seemed to change a lot from when the show 1st started. Now I haven't watched every episode so no expert at all. From what I've seen the parents are a little too strict especially when it comes to the kids feelings. I'm very curious as to their reasons for adopting
I think Anna was asking for a little bit of acceptance not excitement .And when you were reading the Chinese animals about each person you said that your husband said arrogance. It didn't say that but funny how when it came to yours you said oh they got it all wrong. I'm sorry I love you all and like the show so much. But in this case I think the mom needs to take a step back maybe go back and watch the shows and she can see it in her eyes. I think they're a great family but I really do think that that might help.
I have followed the show from the beginning from when the children were younger, I believe Anna feels she doesn’t get enough support from her parents, Anna probably feels a certain type of way and just wants a reaction from her parents , but she needs to understand that being and an adult requires a-lot of responsibilities I think she needs to experience being out in the big world Amber should let her feel it, and just give her moral support and not get into a battle with her

She doesn’t treat her badly, Anna doesn’t have a plan, and she can’t afford to support herself financially, Anna wants to move out but couldn’t pay any of her bills, her little part time job doesn’t make that much, if they treated her badly they would let her go, and not care what happened to her
@@brendanalexcurran3429 Dont you think that they should have put money in trust from the show for the children. It would not be an issue right now about her moving out if they had. She could buy a home and at least have a place to live and figure out her life. I don't think the best environment for her is to live with them. The mother has said Anna is causing a lot of trouble that is awful to do that and spread it to the sibling.
@@coollollipop1 well first Im not sure if you know but they do NOT make that much per episode, the children maybe get 100-200 which they use on their children’s education clothes and livelyhood, on top of fees for Adopting children and taking care of 5!!!! Kids and a husband and a home and giving them EVERYTHING they want. Anna DOESNT have a plan, she seen her sister move and wants to do it too, and as her mother i think she knows that and knows she’s not ready, her parents love her and care for her and knows her child more then we do. @@brendanalexcurran3429 No if you go to many sites on yt 80 % of the comments are saying they think Anna is mistreated. There is no way that many of the public would think that if there was not some reason to think it. I would have to see facts not just you providing a dollar amount without backing it up. There is no proof they don't make a good amount for the shows. They have been on for 7 years. When they adopted the children of course they are financially responsible duh. If you cannot afford to take care of them financially you have no right to adopt. They did not have to buy that big of a home. Instead would have made more sense to put money in trust from the show to the children for their future. I just assumed they would have put money in trust and now to find out by there lecturing Anna about her income could not support her they did not put money in trust. I think that was wrong and it should have been the priority over buying a big new home. How did Liz possibly move to such an upscale place since she only started working about 1 year ago. Unless she is making a lot of money it does not make sense. I am not going to change my view that money from the show some should have gone into trust funds for the children.

this week show was better and less conflict. the siblings are getting along and I feel they have a close bond. I am happy to know that so they will hopefully be close in the future.

Idk why they’re so hateful, no one is asking you to do a fucking cartwheel. Just say “Honey this could go really bad if you’re not as prepared as you are telling me”, that’s it. My momma would tell me to get on with my bad self and hope my plan is as good as I say. All this could be avoided if they let her grow up.
They should have put money in a trust fund for each child from money from the show and when they turn 18 could use it to buy a home so they can move out. That they did not is the reason for all the problems. They made money from the show for 7 years so why was not money put in trust for the kids.
How is she not responsible she was 3 jobs and got all A’s and B’s in college they had to move her around due to COVID that wasn’t in her control. Jonah is the one who isn’t responsible not wanting a full time job being a bumb.... Anna wants to move out and I would commend her for that, but I wouldn’t let her move out too quickly because she needs a better plan but she is really working on that so I would be supportive.
The father was interviewed and said the kids do get paid for the show. that is good to know and hopefully it can help them buy a house if they want to in future.

If they are getting financial compensation it would be good to stay on the show. It is good to know they do get financial compensation because ppl watch the show because of the children and how they are doing etc.

I needed to learn things for myself , but I also had to deal with the consequences.Love her through the good and the bad choices and pray she learns from all of it . Watching your child struggle hurts , but you can love and support them , even if your views are different.

*there's something off with the real relationship the older kids have with the parents* if you look back at other episodes Trent yelled at Elizabeth while "teaching" how to drive and Jonah has communication issues with his gf, Anna seems to get pushed away and they seem to exclude her from certain things and same with the other daughter when she couldnt speak ... I can put myself in Anna's place as having severe abandonment issues.Maybe she needs a BOYFRIEND/Daddy image to grab onto for dear life,but she's scared to leave,and confused on what she wants.She's no angel or devil,but feels isolated IMO.Friends would help,but a boyfriend who is a good guy is the deal maker IMO.I'm a 63 single guy(by choice).She probably feels upset & overwhelmed/fearful.Too much responsibility.I felt great uncertainty at her age.

I understand both sides. I'm a parent and grandparent let her go. Give her that support she needs. She may surprise you. You will get along with her better if she's gone.

She is a damn lie. Anna told her that she wanted to move out. She was being a terrible mother, as per usual. All she had to do was be supportive and help her make the steps towards that goal.
She was never shown love. She is a witch that wants them out! Period!

Amber is becoming a real Wicked Witch. Her past halloween costume sure matches her perfectly. I can see there is no love for Anna anymore with her, I guess just another mouth to feed and an obligation to accomplish. I feel bad for Anna. She’s not even a rebellious child, she’s just happy-go-lucky type of person. #badmom

Amber give her a break, you need to remember that you had the first years of your life with a loving family she didn’t, why are you so hard on her, maybe you should be harder on Jonah for the way he speaks to you & Alex for the way he always gets out of jobs & wants eat food all the time. Anna speaks to you well “yes mame” has 2 little jobs & seems to eat healthy most of the time, don’t be so hard on her, you are going to lose her.
I totally see their concern but at the same time they seem very controlling. Anna wants to move out so bad for a reason. As parents they should let her try, and if she succeeds than great but if she fails that’s still ok. Because that’s part of growing up and being an adult.
You could have just gone to your bed room you didn't have to leve the house y'all need to just stop trying to talk to each other just give up not worth the drama just let it do what's she wants she just not going to agree she just don't care what y'all think she doesn't care to grow up
Amber storming out the house was very immature on her part, now who was being disrespectful. Trust me, Amber's attitude is a whole lot worst off camera.
I really hope Amber takes these comments seriously. Sometimes we can't see what we're really doing to our children and others do. I think some family therapy is in order here
