    Friends,
We are thrilled to share a new song created in collaboration with Patrick Woodcock, a Canadian poet and long-time supporter of our work. A few years ago, Patrick asked us to write a song inspired by his collection, "Farhang Book One." After spending time with the manuscript, we gathered lines that resonated deeply, creating a rich pool of lyrical fragments.
Patrick's language and imagery are visceral and evocative, capturing the beauty and tragedy of life. It was an honor to work with his words. Using the harpsichord, we challenged ourselves to create a structure, employing the Burroughs/Gysin cut-up method to assemble the lyrics. The haunting hook, "If there was a God - God would I kill - if there was repentance - you'd be my heart's fill," balanced with our lines, shaped the song.
In production, we felt the oppressive sunlight, sandstorms, and cold desert nights evoked by Patrick's poems from places like Saudi Arabia, the Kurdish North of Iraq, and Azerbaijan, as well as the imagined dunes of Arrakis. Ebony's primal breathwork and the harmonium's wheeze added the final touch.
We are immensely pleased with the result, opening a new direction for future LUH songs. Please share widely.
We also encourage you to pick up "Farhang Book One" by Patrick Woodcock for more inspiration.

This is brilliant. I wish there was a half hour version of it - very hypnotic.
