The Gunfighter is a masterpiece of a Western and one of Gregory Peck's finest performances! You two are spot-on about this film. I also agree that 1950's and 1940's Western classics such as The Gunfighter, High Noon, and Red River definitely deserve more recognition than they get nowadays.
