These buses are now in operational preservation in Victoria Australia as they were a part of our transport history, especially in the 1970s and 1980s.

A beautiful coach, and I can honesty say when young these classic old vehicles always got me looking and there goes another great fine looking beast that truly outshines and modern coach today. seeing this beautiful old gem it embraced fond memories, and frankly I overlooked these much more modern vehicles and just so admired this stunning machine.

I agree. 👍 I actually heard that some bus companies wouldn't order newer model MCI's with the fluted stainless or flat type brushed stainless steel bodies. Supposedly, people think the coach is old and not modern. I have nothing against the fiberglass bodied ones, but to me the stainless looks amazing, more durable looking, and to me, at least more classy/high end looking. I can't be the only one that likes the stainless, including Prevost models too?

I remember travelling from Sydney to Melbourne and Adelaide in a Dennings Coach. Always remembered loving the high revving Detroits as a signature sound of the Dennings coaches. My plan one day is to buy one and convert it into a motorhome.

It's sounds like an 8V71, but with the wind, I can't tell if it's the N, T, or TA version.

These are preserved buses that occasionally appear on heritage tours around Victoria Australia. But they don't operate on normal bus services anymore.

Howdy, thanks for sharing, amazing 👍
I was wondering if y'all might know if any of the smaller, or mom and pop type bus companies are still using any MCI or Prevost coaches with the 2 Stroke Detroits? If not for regular service, but as backups? I think 1998 is the last year 6v92ta, or 8v92ta were made for on road vehicles. I haven't seen anything newer than1994 as the newest coaches with those. I'm sure I wouldn't find any from Cali with the van on commercial use of those engines.
I'm looking for 102a & 102c models. I haven't seen any D models with a 2 stroke for sale, and not sure a D models was even offered with them.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance. Much appreciated, C.M.

These buses are now preserved in operational condition. They are used on heritage bus tours and often as part of movie and TV sets. They are no longer used in regular service or for standard charters.
