Great restore. If I might make a suggestion, since you seem to like restoring old clocks, it would be worth it to take a look at some watch/clock restore videos. You tube has lots of them and as a result you will see the importance of the oil on the gears. Keeps the metal from wearing out and makes for a smooth running clock. Whoever oiled it before definitely over oiled and that isn’t the way to do it, but you do need some oil. Thanks for sharing your videos.👌also, there are degreasers that can be used rather than gasoline.
Hello, my friend, thank you for your excellent and constructive review. I do not have expertise in the field of clocks, and what I did was just a hobby based on my own experiences, and I do not work professionally in this field, but if I have the opportunity, I will be happy to increase my experience. I also oiled this clock, but it was not in the video, because unfortunately the video had not been made when I wrote this, of course, I have opened the new clocks and what catches my attention is that in New clocks something as oil It is not on the engine and I think it is because it does not attract dust
I have to give it to you. I have never seen some one clean a clock and it's parts in this way and with the chemicals you used also with the tools you used but you got it working and looked great. Nice one unique restorations.
Actually the only parts of the clock that should be oiled are the balance wheel shaft and the pallet fork pins, which should have a very light coating of oil on them.
Your "cleaning" of the entire clockwork removed all the lubrication. Without new lubrication of all bearings, it is only a matter of time before they are totally worn out.
Hello, in fact, the mechanism of these watches does not need oiling, the brass metal does not rust, and oil absorbs dust. Only the part that has a delicate spring should be oiled a little.🙉🙏
The whole thing looks quite nice, but washing the entire mechanism by bathing it in the substance, rinsing it with water and not lubricating it does not bode well. Chemical reactions where the steel pins rub against the brass plates will "kill" the mechanism.
Very much amazing how you cleaned the movement of the clock without disassembling the gear train. The whole clock looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work and beautifully done.
Thank you, my friend. Yes, the results were acceptable for me too. Opening the parts was very time-consuming and the video was too long. I used a method to clean the engine, which I showed in the video.🌹🙏
Ottimo restauro complimenti👍👏👏👏
Grazie per il tuo tempo, amore e supporto 🌹🙏❤
Wow Mr. Unique!!! Great job there bud 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. That last dunk in the Nitric was like a fun little magic show 😂. Thanks for sharing dude 🙏🏻. 😎
Hello my friend, thank you for your kind comment and for your time 🌹🙉

Nice work.
Thank you! Cheers!🌹🌹
Beautiful. ❤❤
You are!🥰
Should be oiled after cleaning
Hello my friend, are you sure? As far as I know, the clock motor should not be oiled because it attracts dust🌹🌹
Actually the only parts of the clock that should be oiled are the balance wheel shaft and the pallet fork pins, which should have a very light coating of oil on them.
@georgebrown8312 Very detailed and scientific explanation🙏🌹
Should be fully disassembled for cleaning as well but they skipped that part.
@Mr.Fabulous-1990 👌👌👌
Over 70 Years for this restoration
😍🤠
Get an ultrasonic cleaner.
Nice offer🙏🌹
👍😊💯
❤
Ok so what other things can you dip in nitric acid? 🤩
Just brass thing dip very short time🤠❤

😄❣
Nice job done with conventional tools as opposed to watchmaker tools 👍
Thanks! It is difficult to do it with small tools sometimes!😁
Excellent job 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!🙉🌹❣
I own a radium dialed clock. The radium lost its glow, a long time ago.
Yes it's normal 🙏🌹
Excellent job, first time I saw Gasoline used as. Grease cutter, you really did an awesome job.
Thank you! Gasoline is an excellent grease cutter! 😊
The springs still look filthy
No, the springs are completely cleaned. What you see in the video is not dirt, it is some rust due to contact with moisture.🙉
The whole thing looks quite nice, but washing the entire mechanism by bathing it in the substance, rinsing it with water and not lubricating it does not bode well. Chemical reactions where the steel pins rub against the brass plates will "kill" the mechanism.
Good point 🌹👌
Зубной щёткой чистить это дурдом
Не волнуйся, друг мой, мы в Nvidia не производим чипы.😄😄

Restoration of a delicate device with big, rough tools.. Disaster!
Not delicate tools but enough for this work
The back of the clock looks really unhappy.
Oh... But I love the whole video. Everything is very interesting.
Unhappy back 😄🤠
Thanks my friend 🌹🌹
