    I had to comment again. I love the Black Diamond. Whenever I see someone going to Tractor Supply, etc. for "fish supplies" I applaud. 100% of my substrates came from Home Depot (I only have 75G and below tanks). 40 pounds of Vigoro pea gravel for $3 vs $5 per pound of the "fish store" magical "aqua gravel". With fish, or if you own a boat...anything that starts with "aqua" (fish) or "marine" (boat) is instantly marked up 75 million percent for no reason other than they can, and they try to scare you into blowing your money. Your tanks rock buddy. Keep up the awesome content.

    I love the black diamond sand. I have used it several of my tanks and it has worked great every time and looks super cool. Good choice for sure.

    You should check your local building supply or patio supply. You can buy large pieces of lava rock for cheap. Break it up whatever way you want and put it in the tank.

    You should use, fast drying epoxy adhesive, for the bulk head leak. I'm sure it's water proof too. your aquariums would be awesome discus breeders, Because those fish need a huge huge back yard pool.
    Pretty cool leg edits , that was funny....4:50....

    I used black diamond in one tank, i did a 50/50 mix with BBS and pool filter sand and i did a 50-50 mix with the black and red you have. I love them all

    Could put some silicone on those bottom bulk heads and pressed sand into it to kinda hide them

    not sure if this was mentioned, but did you try using schedule 80 bulk heads they require holes to be larger than standard bulkheads.

      I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this but I did talk to someone else about this. It may have been the solution I needed but after getting the plumbing to the point I had it I was trying my best to avoid needing to replace the bulkheads altogether. That being said I know the holes were still oversized for even the schedule 80s so it's possible to still have an issue after redoing it

    Bro you need to check out stingray biology center the Asian guy. I think you should def put all your rays in the 1500 it will lessen aggression the more rays you keep together especially if it’s like 2 females and one male. I’m no expert but have kept and bread fist for the last 10 years just my personal opinion to help lessen aggression with the rays bro💯 great video though keep it up 👍🏾

    You're in the northeast right? Around Mass if I remember correctly? I live in Maine and if it's possible I'd love to come see your fish room in person. I know I'm a stranger to you but I've been watching you for almost a year now and feel like you're my homie like ofr. Idk if that sounds crazy to you but I figured I'd throw it out there. Love the stuff man either way, and p.s. I think my phantom is bigger 😉😂😎🤙

    Prior owner/driller either used a 1' 1/4 hole saw thinking it would work, or had no freaking idea how to drill a STRAIGHT hole. I have seen both of those, and both of them are both sad and dumb. Silicon to the rescue, but not the ideal situation. Good Luck.

    Worst case scenario cut a bigger hole with more conventional fittings.

      Well not saying this is impossible but not sure what I'd be able to go up to. Any bulkheads over 2" (what's being used) I can't seem to find

  • @wadevisser1343
    @wadevisser1343 3 роки тому

    Bro, why don't you just drill l the holes a bit bigger to fit a larger bulkhead properly 👍🏻

    so sad to see all those fish stuck in a tiny space. im only watching your vids cuz i need to make a big tank for the turts i saved after my brother got bored with em. but purposely keeping so many fish captive like that just for the fun of it is inhumane.

    • @OffTheDeepEndAquatics
      @OffTheDeepEndAquatics  3 роки тому +1

      First if all I'm glad you're doing your best for the turtles. Now let me address some things. There are many fish keeping channels on UA-cam and it's questionable to me as to why out of all of them u chose to single me out with a disrespectful comment like this when I'm doing far more to give fish proper homes than most. Second you're acknowledging that you're looking to my channel for knowledge to help u build a larger enclosure to give animals a bigger home but not acknowledging that thats what I have done. I'm gonna tell u right now that most down to earth people who have been following me for yrs would never be able to take your comment seriously. It shows your ignorance. If you continue to make ignorant disrespectful comments like this on my videos I will block. I have not blocked anyone on this channel yet but I'm offended by your ignorance. I'll give u a chance to respectfully respond but will not tolerate your clear delusional opinions and contradictions
