I love my 86 TRX250R. This video you made is great. There are so many younger people that have no idea what a TRX250R is. People are amazed when I am out riding my TRX250R. I am in the process of building another one out of parts! TRX250R forever!!!!
This video is incredible. The 250r is by far the most amazing quad of all time. Nearly 25 years late it could still eat up a modern 450 with the right mods and the right rider. I wasn't even alive for this quad's glory days, but this video gives me a butterfly feeling in my stomach and a tingle in my spine. Long live the 250r, long live the King.
I believe it’s safe to say that atv motocross wouldn’t be where it is today without this bike. Took the sport to a whole new level and paved the way for today’s 4 strokes.
My dad has a 88 250r and i ride a 86. He bought the 88 brand new and looks like it just came off the show room floor! Still has original platics. greatest bike ever known to man
the 250r is truly a beautiful machine , and bad ass . my girlfriends dad use to the 250r when he was younger and he just got one again a little while back and I got to ride it and I love it .plan to own one one day.
Bad ass man! I dreamed of having a 250R when i was kid and they came out! i just bought my first one tonight! 27 years later! beautiful machine! Taking it out this weekend for the first time! Nice video!
VERY NICE VIDEO!! I too have an '86 250R. When the first Huevos video came out I had been into dirtbikes, 3 wheelers and quads, in that order since I was a kid. I had had several quads but needed, yes needed, a 250R. I purchased one for the sum of $5500.00 that was completely modded out from the handlebars to the rear axle and everything in between. It is still with me to this day and as far as I am concerned it always will be, to me there will be no other one for me! Me and my 250R forever!
my neighbor has an 86 250r. 100% stock. stock plastic even has the same tires and rims that were on the bike the day it was released in 86' its a beautiful machine
best machine ever built. my dad had in old 87 in the machine shed and i found it pulled it out and with a little tlc and new plastic it runs great i have an suzuki ltr 450 i got my friend to get on my ltr and i raced him and the 250 did not win but they where neck and neck and my ltr has a pipe, cherry bomb, anda high performance transmission. the 250 is stalk it just needs an after market front suspensoin a pipe a high performance clutch and a little bit of tunning and ill have the Ltr beat
I have a 1986 250r pretty much mint condition has a small tear in the seat but other than that its beautiful, by far the strongest, fastest, and funniest ive owned.
If you like Honda Trx250R`s and in general 2 stroke Quads & Dirt bikes i would recommend you to join me on my Facebook site! Pictures and videos of me and my buddies 2 stroke rides will be published there, together with new movie projects and other stuff. My MX 1986 Honda Trx250R is soon going to be built together too and pictures/videos of the build-up will be posted. Many cool 2 stroke projects! Hope to see you there! =) Link is in the description of this video.
with basic mods such as pipe and filter these things keep up / overtake some REAL big quads such as raptor 700's! Im getting one! cool to know my bike will be 10 years older then me
when i was yonger i always wanted a R, but settled for a quadzilla what a mistake that think handled like a tank. Now i got my R but its a 450. Nice Vid!!! ride red baby!!
Every sport quad know today has copied or reused so sort of technology from the all mighty and legendary Trx250r. But it will never be a comparable to the 250r! Never!
respect to the legends … the sad thing is I get told all the time that a 250r cant keep up with 450 4 strokes . lmao but yet I have out ran every make and model 4 stroke on my factory cylinder 1986 trx250r on mx tracks and xc and tt . I guess I just ride it like I stole it lmao
Yes it was made in Japan. It has an American vibe with me because lonestar (Texas), Hinson (Cali), works shocks (cali), Curtis sparks (Ca) and many other aftermarket companies made it off of this and the banshee.
@buckfoston86 Thanks! Yeah, i have seen your 250R over at ATVriders. i have seen your videos too, you have a really nice R. I love those old nacks graphics =)
I always rode 4strokes and then I got my first 2stroke a few months ago which is a 05 Cr85r dirtbike and i ditched the 4strokes. I have a 2001 Honda 400ex with a 440 big bore and stg2 hotcam. The only time I ride that is if I'm going on a long ride with lots of woods
@pinkfloydeffect Actually, the CR and KX are regarded as tough motors through all years. Not so for the Zilla, takes a lot of work to make them reliable.
This is the best Quad ever made and bye the way Yamaha is a showoff Suzuki is crap Kawasaki sucks BUT HONDA IS A PURE TOTAL BOSS . Please give a moment to honor this quad .......... LONG LIVE HONDA
I want one so bad! This video is awesome! I would love to have one side by side with my Yfz. But one question... at 1:11 why does that 250r have a GYTR logo on it? GYTR is Yamaha's brand (and it's awesome if I might add) so why would it be on a Honda?
the king of the race quads then, now, and forever!
K Taylor tell that to a banshee or a quadzilla or better yet a yfz 450

The vast majority of race quads are still based off that chassis for a reason.
@@David-pb1dz Straight line speed. All handled like shit. Terrible race quads compared to the 250R.
Lots of Huevous 3 footage 😎👍. I remember the early days of these R's. Great times.

@pinkfloydeffect The CR500 and KX500 are more powerful than the LT500R, and they don't blow gaskets, crack cylinders, or spin bearings. Why is that?

bring them back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes....Bald Eagles, American Flags, USA!......for a japanese quad.
