when Rouge said "her" I got the idea that it could be Eggette, Eggman's niece, but then I thought that. if that she was actually... Sage? When I realized that Sonic Rebound would be an original story, I thought how could Sage exist? and I think she could be like this: before the events of Sonic Forces. Eggman was creating a super advanced AI that would be an effective helper and respite from Orbot AND Cubot. but then he found the Phantom Ruby and at the same time Zero and his Jackal Squad and then the events of the game would occur. but while he conquered the land, the last six months. Eggman was finishing off his AI, but then he got the idea to use the Ruby's power and energy to his AI. then unexpectedly something unexpected happened, his AI got its own consciousness, personality and began to show that it was "alive" (just like in Sonic Frontiers) Eggman found it fascinating and kept working until his AI had its own appearance And it would be the one we met on Starfall Island. and how is that possible? Perhaps inadvertently the Phantom Ruby drew some of the Energy from the Cyberspace of the Starfall Island to create Sage and finish her earlier and it would be the same as in the game. just like the game. Eggman named her new AI Sage of her and began to have a huge affection for her without which he could not help it to the point that he began to call her after her beloved Daughter and could not stop comparing her with her Cousin Maria. then Eggman put the last details in Sage so that she would be independent and had the promise to keep the Legacy of her father and the Eggman Empire or Eggmanland. but when she was completed at last. they lost the war and her beloved father had disappeared. Sage didn't quite understand Feelings or what she feels to others, but she felt great pain from what happened to her father and her creator. But keeping the promise she made to Eggman, Sage spent the entire month gathering the Empire once more and its Badniks and rebuilding the empire. She used a robot disguised as a double of her father (Robotnik of America) and together with the company of her older brothers, Metal Sonic, Orbot and Cubot, fulfill the dream of her father and her creator.
Just wanna give a special round of applause to the animator of Rouge in this episode for managing to create such awesome animation with just one single hand

I don't consider myself a simp for Rouge by any means, but as a hardcore fan of the Adventure era; I appreciate seeing Rouge as she was originally designed.
IDW Rouge looks more aimed at a children's audience. It's not bad, but I also like Rouge with an edgy and more realistic physics. I mean that was supossed to be Sonic since SA events, that's why she's my favorite character. I think Sonic cast would be a little better if they were a lil more mature with more age (seriously why a lot of the characters are kids under 15 years?? The first time I look modern Tails model I though he was 14-15 years). Just imagine, more female characters who look like Rouge, not only more fanservice but also people looking it and thinking "this game is not at all for kids".

I love the Belle addition! Definitely an improvement over the original story considering she was supposed to be already built around that time but they never showed her
@Angelica Montero Acevedo that is correct. Flynn, when writing this comic arc, never made the creation of Belle. Evan Sanely, when she was promoted to replace Ian Flynn as writer, created and placed Belle in the comic after the Zombot arc. Many issues and months and months later. The more we know 👍
That knee strike to shadow's gut was just chef's kiss! I'm especially impressed by the impact frames and posing. Please give my best to whoever contributed to all of that.
This was such a step up and I can only guess the next bit will be even better! You guys did excellent! I was immediately impressed with the animation from the start, the voice acting was top notch like omg, perfect casting! So excited for the next part, it's killin me 😭
I am so stoked to see Mardic playing sonic. I used to follow mardic way back in the day when he did his shadow and sonic podcast over 10 years ago. He stopped uploading for a long while. Glad to see he's still around and involved in sonic content.

After getting the news that the IDW series is now canon to the game universe, I found it was probably necessary to read the comics. Except I’m broke- This is a really nice way to display the story though! This is absolutely incredible and I can’t wait for every new animation (especially scrapnik island!!)! Thank you for putting so much effort into this wonderful work. Of course, I am aware this is not panel for panel coinciding with the IDW comics, but it’s a great way to learn the overall storylines. So again, thank you.
The usage of Rouge actually having an in-depth conversation with the Chaotix, along with them setting up Whisper is actually a massive improvement, Whisper did just kinda pop in out of nowhere in the original comics, so this is so nice.
Well, in the preview of the episode 6, Silver say something about another dimensión, so it has the posiblity that it's eggman of other dimensión ir it's actually her cousin Eggette of manía just like you said but disguise with a robot clone that she controllet insisde AND looking for His uncle of ther dimensión.
1:43 to 1:48. THOSE 2 SHOTS WERE BADASS! Most of this episode screamed out anime to me, and I loved all of it! I think the mouth movements should be worked on more, and perhaps stick with one art style. I can't wait to see more! 🤩

This is what I really want. A sonic show that’s anime-esque and serious! Let’s take it back to the in depth story narrative akin to the sonic adventure games! The characterization and personalities of the character on points. This can appeal to kids and adults alike (rouge being all seductive 😅) and let’s get back to 2d traditional animation. I’m not the hugest fan of 3d cgi shows..

This is awesome!! It’s been almost 2 years since the last episode, but it was worth it. Thank you for making this animated episode of issue 6 from the comics. I can’t wait to silver and whisper in this series.
After over a year, its great to have yet another Sonic Rebound episode and at an incredible time for this franchise. We have new episodes of Sonic Prime coming out, new Frontiers DLC, and hopefully the Knuckles show. Now on to this episode. This episode definitely has the best and most beautiful animation thus far. I love the anime style used throughout and Sonic and Shadow just look super badass fighting each other, especially from 1:40-1:47. Sure, there's a little inconsistency halfway through, but I'm pretty sure that's just different animators and they're all so good that it doesn't really matter. Though one flaw is the lip-syncing as the characters' mouths don't always match the words, especially the Chaotix and Rouge early in the episode. I love seeing Sonic be more anime as much as the next person, but not to that extant. Seeing the tiny details and easter eggs that weren't present in the comic was also great. It feels like its been forever since we've last seen Shadow smirk at Sonic, even if it was just for one second. I also love that buzz saw move he did to that tree. Also, Belle the tinkerer🥰 and Nights. And with Frederator studios backing you guys, could it be possible to see cameos from some of their shows like Fairly Oddparents or Adventure Time or even My life as a teenage robot? Or maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself. Another thing that I like is the voice cast. Its amazing how close many of these voices come to the official cast. Paxton Lee sounds so much like Roger Craig Smith, its incredible. Same goes for Mardiculous as Jason Griffith styled Shadow. Eggman sounds really good too, though I personally prefer Mii Toons' voice when it comes to fan voices. Absolutely nothing against the voice in this. But yeah, the voice cast though out the series has done an amazing job. I seriously can't wait for what's next for Sonic Rebound. Why SEGA didn't settle for something like this for Sonic Prime I have no idea, especially given that Frederator is backing you guys. Or maybe that's for the best and we don't have to worry about mandates or characters being off limits. You guys keep doing what your doing and please don't stop like other Sonic fan animations have.
I've been binging this show the second I heard of it and my GOD the improvement is immaculate. This is genuinely inspiration, I seriously can't wait for the next episode!! Edit:just wanted to add this, did anyone else get MAJOR Gurren Lagan vibes from Rouge? Just down to how she spoke and her movement, especially when she was explaining Whisper to the Chaotix. Might just be me idk
…HOLY SHIT HOW HAVE I NOT KNOWN ABOUT THIS SERIES UNTIL TODAY!? This is amazing! Takes all the best aspects of the idw comics and puts unique spins on them! Bravo! Consider me a new subscriber and fan of this series ! Can’t wait for the next episode to come out! Bringing in Sat Am Eggman was an absolutely brilliant twist! And putting more significance on Whisper too? I almost feel spoiled! 😄

See a lot of people are talking about how well Rouge was animated but they did the fight scenes pretty well. Shadow felt just as over the top as he did in the comic. Cant wait to see the whole arc animated cuz yall are cooking👨🏿🍳.
Heavily underrated. The animation, The Movements, The Sound Design, Voice Acting, The Colors are all so wonderfully made and yet visually appealing! Keep it up!!!👍👍
I really hope that eggman stays good even if he were to regain his memories just because he realizes how much more rewarding it is to help others and actually have friends and be engaged in a kind, caring community

Digging the changes you’ve done. Such as introducing Belle early, the lead in for the dark brotherhood, and more. Not to mention fantastic voice acting and art. If I had to critique something, I’d say rouge’s part was…overdone, and I was disappointed Sonic didn’t say Nertz when Shadow got past him. Seriously, that was hilarious. Oh well. Different artistic choices and all that. This was still dope, dude.

Just like Mr melon man said, children really shouldn't be watching stuff like that lmao, it's most likely intended for teens and older audiences who are (mostly) comfortable with shots like that. well... Sonic is mostly intended for all ages but Ace intended to keep the "sex appeal" of Rouge in the series for obvious purposes (i have mixed opinions about that but nonetheless, it is what it is and i don't know what most people's thoughts are on that topic, or if they discourage or are cheering on for the team to keep doing stuff like that in the animations).
This series has no right being this good! I love everything thats going on, and with Dr. Robotnic replacing neo, this is going to be very interesting. I cabt wait for the next episode

The guys were excited when they drew Rouge in this episode. It was splendid. I wish Prime had followed in the same footsteps.
They were gonna have a Japanese studio animate Prime, but a change in plan had them seek out a Canadian Animation Studio.

@@speedix_editz it was just aight. I was only into the parts where they were in the dystopian future run by eggmans. Everything else was just blah. But sonic did get on my nerves in prime.
Has Sonic REALLY compared Eggman and Shadow now?! A dude who wants power, and a creature from whom everything was taken away, and left only with a sense of revenge......And this blue slipper dared to COMPARE them?!
Shadow looked so good! The fight between sonic and shadow was so perfect! Rouge looked 🔥 definitely can tell she’s someone’s favorite character 😂
The voice acting is ON POINT too! The animation just gets better and voice acting more accurate!!

This is awesome!! It’s been almost 2 years since the last episode, but it was worth it. Thank you for making this animated episode of issue 6 from the comics. I can’t wait to silver and whisper in this series.

After over a year, its great to have yet another Sonic Rebound episode and at an incredible time for this franchise. We have new episodes of Sonic Prime coming out, new Frontiers DLC, and hopefully the Knuckles show. Now on to this episode.
This episode definitely has the best and most beautiful animation thus far. I love the anime style used throughout and Sonic and Shadow just look super badass fighting each other, especially from 1:40-1:47. Sure, there's a little inconsistency halfway through, but I'm pretty sure that's just different animators and they're all so good that it doesn't really matter. Though one flaw is the lip-syncing as the characters' mouths don't always match the words, especially the Chaotix and Rouge early in the episode. I love seeing Sonic be more anime as much as the next person, but not to that extant.
Seeing the tiny details and easter eggs that weren't present in the comic was also great. It feels like its been forever since we've last seen Shadow smirk at Sonic, even if it was just for one second. I also love that buzz saw move he did to that tree. Also, Belle the tinkerer🥰 and Nights. And with Frederator studios backing you guys, could it be possible to see cameos from some of their shows like Fairly Oddparents or Adventure Time or even My life as a teenage robot? Or maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself.
Another thing that I like is the voice cast. Its amazing how close many of these voices come to the official cast. Paxton Lee sounds so much like Roger Craig Smith, its incredible. Same goes for Mardiculous as Jason Griffith styled Shadow. Eggman sounds really good too, though I personally prefer Mii Toons' voice when it comes to fan voices. Absolutely nothing against the voice in this. But yeah, the voice cast though out the series has done an amazing job.
I seriously can't wait for what's next for Sonic Rebound. Why SEGA didn't settle for something like this for Sonic Prime I have no idea, especially given that Frederator is backing you guys. Or maybe that's for the best and we don't have to worry about mandates or characters being off limits. You guys keep doing what your doing and please don't stop like other Sonic fan animations have.

I've been binging this show the second I heard of it and my GOD the improvement is immaculate. This is genuinely inspiration, I seriously can't wait for the next episode!!
Edit:just wanted to add this, did anyone else get MAJOR Gurren Lagan vibes from Rouge? Just down to how she spoke and her movement, especially when she was explaining Whisper to the Chaotix. Might just be me idk

Consider me a new subscriber and fan of this series ! Can’t wait for the next episode to come out! Bringing in Sat Am Eggman was an absolutely brilliant twist! And putting more significance on Whisper too? I almost feel spoiled! 😄

See a lot of people are talking about how well Rouge was animated but they did the fight scenes pretty well. Shadow felt just as over the top as he did in the comic.

rouge got special treatment
Digging the changes you’ve done. Such as introducing Belle early, the lead in for the dark brotherhood, and more. Not to mention fantastic voice acting and art. If I had to critique something, I’d say rouge’s part was…overdone, and I was disappointed Sonic didn’t say Nertz when Shadow got past him. Seriously, that was hilarious. Oh well. Different artistic choices and all that. This was still dope, dude.

Just like Mr melon man said, children really shouldn't be watching stuff like that lmao, it's most likely intended for teens and older audiences who are (mostly) comfortable with shots like that. well... Sonic is mostly intended for all ages but Ace intended to keep the "sex appeal" of Rouge in the series for obvious purposes (i have mixed opinions about that but nonetheless, it is what it is and i don't know what most people's thoughts are on that topic, or if they discourage or are cheering on for the team to keep doing stuff like that in the animations).
This is quite possibly the coolest i have ever seen the chaotix, it honestly gets me hype 😩
