Perfect way to start a roleplay as a character in debt that must resort to underhanded means to not only pay off the house, but just to make ends meet.
I would gladly pay a company to come in and furnish my house/penthouse. When I first started playing the game when it came out, I thought they would be furnished but nooooooooo. I'll put a bed or two, a chair here, a table there. That's just about the extent of my decorating skills.
I traded out dream house for wanted. It's a good trait for damage when hit by enemies, and you can earn a good fighting ship by boarding the bounty hunters. In addition, they always come with contraband, so that's extra money. Finally, it makes the game feel a bit alive like the adoring fan or parents by having random encounters, where you can either try to bribe your way out or fight your pursuers.
Can’t wait to see what mods will replace the dream house with. Maybe a skyrim castle, maybe a fallout vault, maybe a no man’s sky bubble base, anything really.
On my 3rd restart since Pre-Release and I would highly suggest for anyone who wants to pay this off very quickly to play on the hardest difficulty and switch the the easiest (during combat.) Before entering any location that shows a loading screen. Make sure your on the hardest difficulty again so the location will load with the best loot. You can pay it off before you get your first power. If you carry everything (slowly) and climb in the seat of your spaceship. I would Highly reccomend the Diplomat Background as well so you can make the most money from your goods you sell. I literally threw my first point in Security (for more loot) and all my other points went into Commerce until it took too many to level it up further. Play until you get a room at The Lodge and you will have a safe in your room as well as a chest in the basement workshop area which has UNLIMITED storage space in both locations. Giving you the option to pick/choose what to keep and sell. Sell weapons. Thats your money maker. Wait in a chair to fast forward time to reset the shops.
So what you highly sugest is to abuse a bug to break the game and be rich since the start. Well i highly sugest you DONT do it,the bug of lowering the difficulty is not just going to give you a lot of legendary weapons,it will also give tons of exp, enough of it for you to be overpowered very early on. I cant see the fun of it
@@XXXKaruXXX We lose it all NG+ anyways. Just trying to help everyone get the maximum profit from their time. If this bothers you. Wait until you learn about the hidden Chests in New Atlantis and Akila City.
It's strange many suggest abuse system or grind for credit. It takesnless then 1k to start your outpost. It will expand rapidly, and give you more resources you can ever sell or use. The limit is the sky! :)
Mortgage and paying parents? Next there will be a mod where the character you marry has a brother and keeps asking for assistance. Then you get a pet and have to keep taking it to the vet. Don't get me started on Space Taxes.
I just wanna correct something in this video the penthouse in New Atlantis, it’s free if you complete the Vanguard storyline totally it’s free because I have done it myself. The only thing I don’t like in this game is that you can’t just purchased decorations your house like you can in Skyrim I just feel they got really lazy in the housing part of this game
It's called prioritization not laziness (game development isn't easy). Skyrim didn't have everything it has now when it launched. So lets be patient, and be happy we have a working game, that will hopefully continue to get updated and features/mods added. Lord knows that's a rare thing these days.
You can decorate all the houses you can buy.. There is an outpost decorator on the wall:) yes,u have to do it all yourself.. It's like Hearthfire but, better in my opinion..
You know... the only reason i did not take this trait, was because last week no one had a video like this yet to tell me what the house actually looked like. 🤦♂️ Ah well... next playthrough. Thanks for showing us this house! It actually looks worth it!
so the real question is why would you want to buy a house in the middle of nowhere with no good reason to return to it? would be way better if you could turn this house into an outpost or if it was near/in one of the major citys. classic bethesda logic
Besides storing contraband, it also doesn't get attacked, unlike outposts. I have it but it's not very useful aside from those two reasons. Well role-playing purposes maybe, but an outpost can easily fill that aspect too.
They need to add unlimited storage like the lodge. And give your workbenches access to it. Otherwise, this trait is pointless. It's so stupid that I have to collect all my resources in the lodge to use the benches in the basement. Just link it, Bethesda.
I built an outpost as close as possible, scanned some plants, got water and argon, going to make an amp farm. Currently robbing Galbank ships to save up pay off the mortgage lol
@@DovahGirL Yes, you have to build an outpost first and go to crafting and place down a research lab which costs 2 BE, 4 AL, and 2 CU. Then interact with it and go do outpost development, then down to Decoration 1 and make sure you have 3 structural material, 3 fiber; and 2 ornamental. For a game being fictional nothing like a good old mortgage to bring you back into reality 😂 and you can pay it off? Damn 💀 only question I have is, is there a credit union in the game so I can get a better deal on my interest?
I'm no decorator. It would be extremely helpful to pick furnished rooms from a menu so you don't have to pick every lamp, table, chair, etc. Come on, Bethesda!
Why haven't you actually done a full starfield playthrough series? All I could find was these videos. I'm sad about it...@Gophervids is the best one so far...would love to see your spin on the game.
This game just doesn't have that special feeling that I fell in love with in games like Skyrim. It seems more generic and for 'Modern Audiences'. I guess if your really into space this may be your game, I'm just not feeling it.
@@kungalexander829you get it. No offense to him because we all got opinions but he’s acting like Skyrim had the depth of oblivion. Plus Skyrim was worse in vanilla than now so imagine Starfield! 😊

That's how I am playing it😅
I did this, but started on Ryujin questline. Good creds, good sidequest options.
Yeah it gives you reason to play the game and I like that
@@leematthewgaming2629I always love when the game gives you a reason to play it
Especially if you're paying your parents rent on top of it

The things the modding community is going to do in the game once the creation engine 2 is released eh?

You have to build or find a research station and there should be an option to upgrade decorations for 3 of 3 different materials
