- Prince Edward and Sophie have lit candles at Manchester Cathedral in memory of the Queen.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex were also shown photographs of the Queen's last visit to the cathedral, to mark the 600th anniversary celebration of the collegiate church in July 2021. Report by Daisy Busel.
Because of Her Majesty's greatness, her children will prosper more!

Edward & Sophie are humble and down-to-earth, they look so natural and very sympathic in all their behavior, they don't want to be the ⭐of every event - in opposite to Meghan (with Harry), she still wants to be in the center and always looks unnatural and acting like being on the set for a film😏☹️ !!!
For us she was the Queen but for the Royals they lost a mum and a grandmother. It is tragic to lose a family member. May your Majesty rest in peace and thank you for giving us those private moments. The world mourns with you 💛🌺👑

Edward and Sophie have dutifully supported Her Late Majesty The Queen over the years without any fuss. They looked utterly devastated as they arrived at Balmoral last week and it was obvious then, before the official announcement that Her Majesty had passed away. 💔🌈🙏🏻
They are all working so hard during a time the rest of us would be curled up and sobbing into our pillows ;( I found it hard to get up and put on cloths while the RF is out and about and comforting strangers in their grief. Bless them all

The Earl and Countess of Wessex are hard-working, dedicated and gracious members of the Royal Family. They deserve kudos for all they have done (and I have no doubt will continue to do). God save the King!
I may have been born in America but my heart is British as the days are long here. My heart weeps for all those who grieve the loss of such an Amazing sovereign. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was an outstanding, unique individual who fulfilled who promise of dedicating her entire life to the role she ascended to back in 1952. She is the only Queen that I have ever known during my life. My heart hurts and my eyes weep with the people of the Commonwealth. My love and Prayers and with you all. These two deserve more recognition than H and M. They were there for the queen on a steady basis and supported her as dutiful servants.
People forget that Edward also did what Harry is doing. He left & came back, the Queen gave him the space to figure it out.

Can anyone here for the life of them imagine how the working royals have coped with all of this period of public grieving? I, for one, can't imagine it - when close members of my family have passed away; my darling dad and grandparents, I've had the benefit of antinomy. I've privately mourned. I thankfully did so without thousands of photographers and the world media documenting my every movement.
So true, most people get about five days bereavement leave. The senior royals have not had a break.

She was very close to the Queen who admired her for her strength in dealing with health issues and difficult pregnancies. As did her sister in law.
She, and Prince Andrews have always being very closed to the royal family, just a bad experience and some fakes about their first work.

,She was like a second daughter to the Queen. Edward and Sophie have the longest and stable marriage out of her four children. They have bought there children up without any royal fuss or any fancy titles. They wanted to bring them up as normal as possible which they have done very well. The same as Zara and Mike Tindall.
