They never disappoint when you see them live they kick ass those who know know lot of b's about them getting to the next level they are the level... Yeah 👊
Lucky you. Awww wow. I saw them on tv when I was like 14 or something. I got an X record at a flea market when I was 17. I have not been the same since. Thank gawd. ♥ I hold them very close.
I saw them at the whiskey several times in 1979-1980. The show that I remember the most was the night that Excene's sister died. I remember she cried through every song and her make up was running down here face. She was so tragically beautiful and intense. At the time I heard her sister was hit by a car, it was sudden and they were already booked to play the whiskey. I am not sure why they decided to play or if this was even the real story or just a rumor that went around at that time. I remember Excene used to wear those old lady black high healed orthopedic shoes with her vintage dresses. I don't remember her wearing combat boots. I remember the girls all wore those old fashioned pointed decorative cowboy boots with their dresses or motorcycle boots.
I could not believe the energy the night I saw them at The Whiskey. The night I saw the them with Ray Manzarek he played Soul Kitchen with them on the encore. We all left that night thinking "shit X is taking over the world!" A trivia question to anyone who was there too. Prove it. What kind of pants and shoes was Exene wearing that night?

I was there - all their shows - my ex was their sound engineer- best band to come out of the 80's my opinion-
Saw this show and many others back then. X was always underrated. Sat next to Ray when X played the Greek Theater. Billy Zoom...the epitome
of cool!

She was not wearing pants.
She was wearing a red dress and black combat boots.
Cool
Too bad there is no video of the show.
