After going to a Fenix 6 I really miss a lot of the features of my old Apple watch. Especially the gamification and connectivity. This looks like it could make the watch a viable option again for my longer runs.

Don’t be a clown. Garmin Fenix is much better. I have both the Garmin Fenix 7 and an Apple Watch 7 my wife gave to me. I wear them both at the same time on all runs with a STRYD foot pod connected to the Garmin Fenix 7 on the left wrist and the Apple 7 on the right using the WorkOutDoors app. The accuracy on that app is trash compared to the Garmin Fenix 7.

Very helpful video to get to know this behemoth of an app with all its customizations! I'd love to see how to use it with a BT heart rate monitor. I suggest also running with your iPhone so that it uses that for GPS and you could do a lot longer runs with battery lasting.

For running intervals, this or ismoothrun? I don’t really care about that much data on the watch, I just want the basics and alerts for custom running intervals, like mixed warmup, mixed pace, etc. Thanks

I thought the same thing when in the video he shows how many data fields you CAN have shown at once...Garmins limit it to 6 on the bigger screen versions. I'm tired of the overpriced Garmin model...charge $200 more for just a few more features they could easily include on the lower models for example.

Great review, I actually purchased the app yesterday. One thing to point out, is that that to get the best from this app, you will need to invest a bit of time configuring the screens. Not being pedantic but, it is £4.99 - the extra £ you quoted could make a difference to a lot of people in making their decision to purchase this fantastic app. Keep up the good quality reviews.

In the pace setting for this app, it asks how it should track my current pace. The default is set to pedometer, should I change it to gps? Why would it be set on pedometer if it’s way less accurate. there is also a slideable bar for smoothness of pace, not sure what this is or where to set it. Any help would be appreciated thanks 😊

The map function on Garmin is more detailed, but clunky during use (mainly due to the UI/processor). WOD is definitely more pleasant to operate and look at, but less detailed overall

    Hi!!!
    Good video and explanation.
In the running option, I cannot guarantee that PACE is correct. I have run it with a Garmin and an Apple Watch and the values are very different. For example, Garmin has a PACE of 5'00'' and the Apple Watch has a PACE of 6'15''.
I believe there is some misconfiguration.
Do you know what the problem might be?

Looks like this app doesn't support good old fashion interval beeps like the Apple workout app. Only hectic or voice alerts even for walk/run intervals. Just don't get it. I can't be the only one wo wants only beeps. I don't need a voice telling me every minute that its been a minute, simple beep does the trick. For sure a fantastic app, but kinda said $5.99 for the same issue.
