This was the video I wasn’t looking for and didn’t know I needed and I’m glad I found it! Thank you for sharing this!
Wow not only did Fred and Barney end up becoming family, Fred also became relatives with his boss!
I use to watch this as a child but my biggest question was why did they celebrate Christmas when Christ was not even born around that time ?? He was the future
@@ElCid48 we it is suggested that the flintstones takes place during the end of a nuclear war. that is why we have the jetsons and the flintstones in the same universe.
@ElCid48 As Nostalgia Critic would say in Fred's voice "Shut up and eat your fuckin cereal"
@@infinityguy16 Cereal is cheap..
WOW! Thanks, I grew up watching The Flintstones, wouldn’t miss it.📺
I didn't know anything I enjoyed watching the cartoon when I was a little kid
Fred also has an Uncle Hatrock, who was in the “Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm” episode, “They Went That A-way”. And in “The Flintstone Kids”, it was revealed that Mr. Slate’s first name was Nate.
I remember the two Flintstones specials where An older Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm have twins, and that Christmas Special where they adopt a caveless delinquent. Those two events were never talked about ever again
That means dusty is the twins of Bamm-bamm had grandniblings
The family tree I didn’t know I needed! 🎉
Very well done...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
There are at least three missing. First, Betty has a sister, who had a baby; Barney had to take care of it and ended up missing an important championship bowling match. It is in the episode that ends with Wilma announcing her pregnancy. The other one is, one of Wilma's grandfathers was "a dinosaur horse thief"; Fred mentions this in the episode where they think Pebbles stole a diamond bracelet from a jewelry store.
I remember that episode, Betty"s nephew was marble head, I think!
Didn't know Mr. Slate was Barney's uncle. Interesting bit of lore there.
That would explain the employment situation.
@@Dularr I remember that episode and how Barney was connected to Mr, Slate. I didn't know how exactly Fred Flintstone was connected to the Arkansas Flintstones until now. I remember one of the Hatrocks was saying lone of the Arkansa Flintstones had 16 sons they all died out save one who left Arkansas so I guess it was Jed Flintstone's son Rockbottom who was Fred Flintstone's grandfather. That's quite extensive research on a cartoon and comic book series I must say.
Why is Barney's father's last name Rubble if he is the brother of Mr. Slate?
Small error. Mr Slate is Barney's Uncle but not his father's brother. Mr. Slate is actually Barney's mother's brother.
I through he said Betty’s uncle 🤔
Barney worked as an insurance agent, then a repossession agent in the original series; he became a reservist volunteer police officer with Fred in the "Bedrock Cops" segments of "The Flintstones Comedy Show", then later established as Fred's co-worker at Slate Rock & Gravel in all subsequent Flintstones cartoons and movies.
Barney was Fred's coworker in a film that was presented at an Budwiser sales convention in the 60's (I saw it on UA-cam). From then on, they head them both working together in the gravel pit. They worked together on the Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show
Jerry Slaghoople, Wilma Flintstone's brother was also mentioned in The Flintstones 1994 live-action movie
Micky, as in Mickey Mouse 2:55
I didn't know Fred and Wilma had an adopted son 😳
Stoney
Didn't Betty have a sister ? Uh the blue baby booty plus Marblehead hello the surprise ep.
Stoney came about in that Christmas special. Word has it that it was supposed to either lead to more specials focused a little more on the new generation of Flintstone/Rubbles, or an all new series.
It never came to pass, and thats where the original Flintstones timeline leaves off.
@@maximusprime3459 Ah
@@zoidlloyd7736 I don't know 😅I'll have to re-watch the series again. lol
Awesome video! Totally rock solid!
This was so interesting. Thank you.
Fred Flintstone's father is actually named Ed and you can get that information by watching and researching The Flintstone Kids.
This was extremely informative as well as being flat out fun to watch. I got the complete 📀DVD📀 Collection of the Flintstones. This set came in an plastic orange "box" that looks just like one of the Flintstones older 📺TV📺 sets. There's a scene in the "screen" part of the box. Every single episode is in this set and it is a massive and complete collection, that includes some really cool extras. Like the old classic 🚬cigarette🚬 television commercials that obviously were banned due to the fact that a cartoon icon was seen promoting a cigarette! OMG! There's other commercials and extras, but this is really a unique and interesting video. Thank you for sharing this with us. I definitely appreciate it and you got yourself a new subscriber. Take care and thanks again.
Oh thank you so much for making this! I've been searching so long for Bam and Pebbles twins names! And i didn't even know that Fred and Wilma had a son! Wow, i really need to catch up with these guys.....especially since Hollywood is going to try to ruin them next....
Betty also has an offscreen sister as evidenced in a couple of 60s episodes (one of which is "The Surprise") unless she was obliquely/affectionately referring to her sister-in-law. Also, Mr. Slate states his married sister is Barney's mother in "Fred's New Boss" not his married brother, otherwise Barney's surname would be Slate. The images used for Mr. Slate's other children are taken from "The Engagement Ring" which features a very different Mr. Slate (same name, different character) and Mr. Slate's adult son features in "Fred's New Job" so perhaps he could have been included. it's never stated, but I assumed Tumbleweed and Mary were a married couple (Mary coming from Fred's side, judging by her appearance) but it's debatable. Fred also has a totally different father in the 60s comics.
Bettys sister has a son, Eggbert
@@mikefagan6840 If you mean the character from "The Babysitters" that was Edna Boulder's son. Betty's nephew was Marblehead.
@@andrewmorrice9139 yes, thank you. My memory was hazy. 👍
Great content , keep up the good work.
Amazing!
Glad to see someone remembers stoney he seems to be forgotten after that Christmas special
I didn't know Fred and Wilma had a adopted son
@@jeffreywilliams8499 not many seemed to i grew up on that Christmas special and i always wondered why they didn't use stoney again my theory is the Christmas special is the actual end because pebbles and bambam have their kids in the special too
@@mrhalloween1152 And another thing I didn't know Wilma had siblings I thought she was a only child and I didn't know Mr. Slate is Barney's uncle
@@jeffreywilliams8499 not surprised many facts (like stony) was brought up like once or twice throughout the entire series and people are bound to miss an episode or two 🙂
Loved the show as a kid in reruns
WoW-Wee ❤🎉😂😮😅I never even knew all of this
I love The Flintstones 🙋🏾♥️😁
Thank For The Good Video 😁💞
Aware of most connection, seeing it in tree form makes me smile.
I did not know that. Thanks!
Lots of interesting, little known lore here!
Wow!! Thanks
Actually, Bessie Slate was first mentioned in The Flintstones episode "The Beauty Contest," when Mr. Slate showed Fred a picture of her. Fred's reaction to that photo indicates that she wasn't totally attractive.
Yeah but like Fred actually said, she was his Boss's daughter, so if he hadn't fiddled the vote in her favour, he'd have got fired.
2:37 "Fred is married to Wilma Flintstone born Wilma Flintstone," says her parents' surnames are Slaghoople so shouldn't her maiden name also be "Slaghoople " you kind of did a mix-up there
Betty Rubble's maiden name is McBricker, too
In one episode, Wilma met up with an old friend who had referred to her as Wilma Pebble. Wilma told her friend Greta that she was Mrs. Fred Flintstone. She also introduced Greta to Betty and Barney. Ironically, Greta was the client that Boss Slate ordered Fred to entertain that evening. When he saw his wife and best friends, he punked out.
Regarding the other maiden name. There were a couple of episodes were Betty referred to Wilma's mother as Mrs. Slaghoople.
Y'all way off with Betty's personality. She's not stubborn nor jealous she's more carefree and bubbly if anything. She's way more attractive than Wilma.
I ❤️ that American series ✨🇺🇸
I did some research of my own. In the Flintstones comic strips, they had other characters named Fred Jr., Alice & Annie. Also check out the "Cave Kids" 1960's comic books. You've left out the Gruesomes, Frankenstones, Bedrock Rockers, Bronto Bunch, Bad Luck Schleprock, Bedrock Pets, Arnold, Captain Caveman & Family. I hope to see them soon in the next video. 🌋🦕🦖👨👩👧👦🦶👣
Didn't see anyone else mention so I will, in the live action movie Mr. slate also says he has a daughter named Concretia.
😂😂😂
Dusty Rubble. I can hear it now, "Lemme tell you about hard times. Hard times is trying to outrun a sabertooth tiger in a car powered by you own two feet. Hard times is needing a bathroom and the pelican has flown away."
shouldn't you draw Pebbles and Bamm Bamm as their adult forms? Pebble is actually a lot older than her adoptive brother and was already married and mother before he was adopted, so don't be fooled by her baby picturing being used next to his kid picture
they're all long dead now
I really like the show so awesome
In the first little golden book released just before the series started Fred and Wilma had a son named Harvey. I still have my original book my mom gave me. I'm 60 btw.
If I remember correctly, in the initial proposal for "The Flintstones" included a son named Fred Jr. He was dropped from the actual series.
@Solitaire001 I have no idea of that the original pilot was called the flagstones found on dvds. They had no children. Just saying I have the little golden book where they have a son named Harvey
Super film
Wait Mr Slate is Barney's UNCLE?! I'm shocked!
Same here. I wonder if Barney knows about this.
I didn’t that . Wow , interesting.
"And had black eyes". Oh, I'm glad you said that. It's completely different than all the others lol.

Why are Wilma’s relatives always “Slaghoople”, and three different old school friends recognize her as “Wilma Pebbles”?
(Don’t let Wilma’s mother frequently remarrying confuse you…Wilma’s maiden name was probably the only single bit of backstory lore the show the show preserved from one episode’s writer to the next.)
It was actually "Pebble", in singular. The name "Pebbles" only appeared when Fred and Wilma's daughter was born
Wouldn't her mother remarrying be enough to explain that? Wilma could have had a different dad and have his last name.
Please remember, and never forget, the same thing that happened in TV sitcoms then, as they do now, is that there was no storyline continuity. Some shows may be slightly better at it now, but not all.
@@ZipplyZane In the flashback episode where they first met, Wilma’s mother tells her, “After all, it’s no crime to be poor…If it was, your father would’ve been Public Enemy #1!” Her use of past tense toward Wilma’s dad would explain a few things.
What about The Jetsons Family Tree it's in the near future.
Can you do The Complete Family Tree of The Jetsons
Interesting
I didn't know Fred and Wilma had a adopted son I looked the internet just now about him he's a juvenile delinquent
At Christmas he tried to rob Fred, at the youth home Wilma wanted to share Christmas with the boy, and the story goes on from there. It was an extra special not a regular episode….hope you can find it to watch
But who are Bamm-Bamm's biological parents and why is he so strong?
I was wondering the same thing
I'm guessing Captain Caveman
@@StudioBlackskull Ha!
Bamm-Bamm was always intended to be Barney & Betty's son; the adoption story was established so that it would be different from the episodes with Pebbles being born.
Superman 😉
Wilma's maiden name was Slaghoople not Flintstone. Betty's maiden name was either Shale or McBricker.
There was an episode of the original series where Wilma's friend came over and called her Wilma Pebble and Fred was hiding underneath their bedcovers because he met her somewhere and she said was a man had a crush or was a new boyfriend. Maybe it was changed after Pebbles was born and is like Pebble's name but without the letter s.
Perhaps Pebble is Wilma’s middle name as her mother’s maiden name is Pebble. Sometimes are given a family name as a middle name
Great video, I gave you a like. At 6:13 you said that Flo Slate's brother is Mr. Slate but you drew him as Bob Rubble's brother. Just saying.
"Wilma Flintstone, born Wilma Flintstone." 😅
In the 3rd season episode "The Little Visitor" it was mentioned that the Slates had 4 children.
Then Barney Rubble is relative with Mr. Slate? 🤯
Yup there's an episode about it Slate didn't know Barney was his nephew until that episode they got along pretty well
All explained in the episode, "Fred's New Boss." BTW. In later episodes, Boss Slate didn't treat Barney like he was his nephew with any warmth and affection. Or maybe that's how Boss Slate treated his family like he treated his workers.....with contempt and hate.🙄😠😱🤣🤦🏿♂️
It wasn't until the 4th season of the original series that the continuity became stronger; Mr. Slate sometimes had a different design.
@@charlespeakjr2168 In the episode "Ladies Day" which was a few episodes after "Fred's New Boss", Barney introduced himself to Slate as if they never met.
I wasn't aware Wilma had siblings I thought she was a only child
You forgot rory flintstone,in The Bedrock Hillbillies, He's the one that started the feud when he commented on the family's painting, Then later at the end of the episode of fred say it and starts rhe feud all over again .
Betty also had a sister. In the original Flintstones episode "The Surprise," Barney and Betty babysat for Betty's nephew and she referenced her sister. This was the same episode where Wilma later told Fred she was pregnant.
Mr Slate’s, in the live Flintstone movie, named his new invention cement. He said it was named after his daughter, Cementia?
In the movie Slate says he'll name it after his daughter Concretia.
Concrete actually, and the daughter was called Concretia.
Now I want to know if they are related to the Jetsons
One theory is that "The Jetsons" takes place before "The Flintstones." Basically, at the time of The Jetsons the planet's environment is so damaged that it is unihabitable. The planet below has issues with poisonous gases and radioactive materials.
Due to that people develop technology to raise the buildings high enough so that they are unaffected by the environmental disaster below. This includes flying cars.
Eventually, after centuries of work, the planet below is recovered and a small number of people return to the surface.
Blaming modern technology for the disaster, the new residents decide to live a caveman-like existance with little technology apart from some genetically modified animals for certain tasks (like vacuum cleaning, photography, and playing records).
BTW, DC Comics recently published a Jetsons comic miniseries that is a dark take on the series. It showed an Earth so deadly that you would quickly die without protective gear and even with it you can only survive for a few minutes.
Me too
It was never revealed who Bamm Bamm's biological parents were, right?
Probably an extraterrestrial gift of a superior hybrid human. Better than humans in about every way.
Don't forget Kazoo!!+
Um, you put Mr. Slate as the brother of the wrong person. It would be a simple fix, just swap and put Flo Slate Rubble on the left and Bob Rubble on the right.
Also, you accidentally gave Wilma's birth name as Wilma Flintstone, when it it Wilma Pebble (based on other comments).
And while it's not a big deal, you might want to consider having the lines skip over where the hearts get added, so it would look more realistic. And, if you do redo it, there are probably more emotive AI voices out there now.
Wilma's maiden name is Slaghoople. There is an episode where Wilma and Betty (both single) meet Fred and Barney (as I remember, they were all working in a fancy club.
Please can you made winx club family tree from Nickelodeon please made it ❤❤🙏🏻
💙
Betty also has a sister mentioned in the original TV series. Name unknown. And the sister was said to be pregnant, so the sister is married. So Betty either has a niece or a nephew. Or maybe both.
I didn’t know mr slate was barneys uncle
That's how he became "Vice President in Charge of Production" at Fred's work :)
Me either
You forgotten Betty sister's baby who was meantion in the end of S3, E 9 also S3, E19, Betty was babysitting her nephew Marblehead Sandstone Jr.
I didn't kno Barney uncle is Mr.Slate aka Fred Boss
I’m not really big on Flintstones “lore”, but it’s surprising as hell to find out Barney is related to Mr.Slate!!😳
Same here I didn't know that Barney and Mr.Slate are related
It must suck when people call you "less smarter".
Wilma was a Slaghoople before a Flintstone.
Its the flinstones christmas on the blu-ray box set of the series? other wise I dont think stoney counts as a son or adoptive son.
I’m not sure he does either.
"He is less smarter than his wife" 5:11 Wow, you should talk LOLOLOL!
When editing, let the oval picture breathe before ads pop up. That way we can study the big picture.
So Jean was Betty's Mum? Can kind of see where Betty gets her looks from then lol.
😘🤗😁
Wilma was born Wilma Pebble
What about Fred Flintstone Jr, who appeared in early Flagstones storyboards and in an interesting 1961 Flintstones children's book.

At the end of the first Flintstones movie...
Mr Slate mentioned an accidental new product that would be named after her daughter...
CONCRETIA.
Wilma's parents are named Slaghoople, but there was an episode of The Flintstones where Wilma went to her High School Reunion, and someone called her "Wilma Pebble", suggesting that was her maiden name.
Wilma's maiden name has been a source of dispute. Several early episodes in the original series clearly stated Wilma's maiden name was "Pebble." In the episode "The Entertainer", Wilma's old friend Greta Gravel remembers her as "Wilma Pebble". Again, in "Dial 'S' for Suspicion", one of Wilma's old boyfriends Rodney Whetstone calls her "Wilma Pebble."
I wish Fred's , Betty's and Barney's parents would have been introduced
You forgot that Betty has a younger sister who has a son named Marblehead Sandstone, who was featured in the Flintstones episode,"The Surprise!"
Maybe Betty adopted Bamm-Bamm, who was really her younger sisters kid out of wedlock, to avoid a family scandal…🤔🤷🏻♀️
@@Pinky0910 Lol!Right.
😮 I have not put this much thought into my own family tree? Yet this guy puts on an entire one about a cartoon family?
Do u know about Jed Flintstones
Mr. Slate for the most part is a fair minded boss and does rehire Fred thanks to Wilma's persuasion. He's certainly less ill tempered than Mr. Spacely and smarter too..
What about Wilma's uncle, "The dinosaur horse thief" ?
2:39 “Wilma Flintstone born as Wilma Flintstone?” 🤔 that doesn’t make sense, especially when you mention Wilma’s parents last name a few moments later
Wilma wasn't born as Flintstone. She was a Slaghoople
You Wanna Impress Me Try Making a Family Tree that Connects the Flintstones to the Jetsons that Would Be Awesome
Wilma wasn't born as "Wilma Flintstone" @2:37. She was born as Wilma Slaghoople.
At some point Wilma was named "WILMA PEBBLE" ( in the original series episode where Fred thought Wilma wanted to kill him to collect on an insurance policy) -- can we assume at some point Mrs.Slaghoople was once married to a "Mr.Pebble"?
Podrías hacer uno de la familia pruod??
BamBam is not really Barney and Betty’s biological son. He’s their adopted son and it’s important to note this because he doesn’t have any of their physical traits when you think about it. His parents apparently were circus people I forgot which episode it mentions this must’ve been one of the early ones cause I do remember seeing it as a kid…
Mr. Slate is Barney's biological Uncle!? I did not know that 😂
Minor mistake you said Wilma Flinstone born as Wilma Flinstone rather than Wilma Slaghoople(sp?)
Maybe Fred Flintstone doesn't have siblings. But he do have two lookalike doubles.
Maybe... they're distances cousins?
Barney is also a dead ringer for a renowned scientist and an Arabian prince.
shouldn't mr. slate be connected to flo slate and not bob rubble?
