learning more about TRANSCENDENCE (shoulder edition) | Lost Ark

this was recorded in the same session as the first video so i am still learning how the calculator works and you'll see more lightbulbs turn on as we go - i have a decent understanding of the calc and how the pity system works now but chris of the past most certainly does not.
watch me make more silly mistakes and do everything manually because i don't know what buttons are nor how to read c:

brother chris, when u hit a special tile there are buttons for each affect under the "change" button. at 19:48 u had 2 additional changes from hitting 2 "addition" tiles but it didn't update in the calculator because u didn't use the correct button. anyways gl on ur transcendence brother.

You have to use the buttons below "Use" and "Change" in the calculator, that way it will automatically do the cloning, enhancing and all that. I was also having some trouble understanding, but i ended up watching a video on how to use the calculator, memorizer has a very good one if you are interested

You are using the calculator wrong when special tiles are hit. You have to hit the special buttons under the Use and Change buttons. This has caused your boards did not match with your inputs in the calculator. As a result, for example, @21:30, you still have two changes left. You could have changed thundercrack and lightning to get lv3 Tornado, which guarantees you to clear board on that turn for 3 stars.

@Brother Chris you dont need to control it manually like you do in your video, you are not using the calculator correctly, if you hit a blessing with a card you nee to pick the "bless" option under the card that was used to break the blessing tile, same for addition you hit the "add" , or the mystery tile if you hit a tree you click "mys-tree" and "mys-out" if you hit outburst. if you hit a "Replication" tile you hit "clone" and if you hit an enhancement tile you click "enhance" after that the only things needed to be set manually is your card queue

You make a lot of mistake. The calculator doesn't take into account the special tiles powers applied cuz you click the wrong buttons. You need to keep the calculator informed.
I'm only at 11:10 and you made multiple mistake, be careful.
For instance:
- When you hit an "addition" click "add" not "use". Or you need to let the calculator know that you can change your cards. Cuz that's what addition does. It lets you reroll again. You had multiple occasion to change one card for a more powerful/usefull one, but the calculator won't ever tell you about it if it thinks you can't roll anymore.
- When you hit an "enhancement", same thing, press "enhan" not "use". Or you need to tell the calculator u got the upgraded card. Same as for "addition", if the calculator doesn't know you have the upgraded version of an element, he might tell you to use it in a spot completely non-sensical. Especially during mini-games with purple tiles.
- One final example that is very important: blessing is one of the most broken random tile you can get as it's basically a free turn. But once again, if you don't say it to the calculator by pressing "bless" (or manually increasing your number of chances), he'll think you only have 2 attempts left when you actually have more. Therefor, you may stop transcendence cuz he'll be telling you "0.5% chance of success" when in reality you had like 50% with additional tries.
