I hope this change continues to happen. I’d like to see other California teams dominate as well instead of the same 4-5 teams every year.
Norcal is definitely changing. Parity is fun to watch. The fun ends in the State Open Championship, as the North Rep will have to face SJB, MD, or Cen10 year in and year out. Serra and Folsom need to Rev up their scheduling and get more SoCal or OOS opponents in the preseason. Beating DLS no longer means anything.

Yes, he played well that game against DLS. He should put in a year then head down south to elevate his game against more high profile competition. The DC (Kennion)) at DLS has no idea what he is doing, defense looks super confused and uncoordinated out here.

Their offense has done just fine against Mater Dei and Bosco over the years; but in recent years, sure, everyone loses to those two schools. That's what happens when high schools actively recruit athletes WAY out of their area and offer scholarships to play football.

It’s a HS football press box. Usually no national TV broadcasts so I guarantee space was very tight there.

De la salle isn't what it used to be
I've been saying since Lad decided to retire: The Spartans need to bring Patrick Walsh home. While both Alumbaugh and Walsh are Spartan royalty, Walsh has that fire. Also, he knows how to coordinate on the youth level and get a good pipeline going to Serra.

It's about time someone in NorCal beat DLS! I'm getting so tired of that veer offense. It's time for Alumbum to leave or get fired by the AD. This program needs to be entirely revamped at DLS. DLS is basically the radio shack/Blockbuster/Mervyns of high school football. Quality of play in NorCal needs to still improve though. Way too many fumbles from Serra. Made DLS look like Bama out there. who calling plays for serra?

In they heyday. They had guys like dj Williams, teron ward, and t j ward, and also t j Carrie so u couldn't really throw on them.
The serra coach light a fire under his players. Where it's no Passion with de la salle coach.
3 losses In NorCal the last 11 games. Coach lad lost to NorCal like 4 times his last 30 years.
They need a new coach and more speed to get back to the old de la salle

@@marcelrelly4961 DLS prides itself on being a "non-football school," so as long as Coach A is making responsible men out of his players, and getting them to college, he will be able to stay as long as he wants. But I definitely think P Walsh would have been a better HC.
