Use a flow stopper and spunding valve to transfer a carbonated drink from one keg to another or from a pressurised fementer to a keg. Include an automatic stopping device and never worry about making a mess with a forgotten over filling!
That's rather handy guys, thanks for sharing.
Great video!
What about foaming with this method? Do you have much foam when you serve your beer?
Wouldn't that mean that there's no headspace? Not sure if you can carbonate without headspace...?
Not an issue when you are transferring already carbonated beer out of a pressure fermenter (plus you used the CO2 produced during fermentation to carbonate it by the time primary is finished) or from a large keg to a smaller one
I've got a quick question, if im fermenting an american ipa at 24 degrees and my spunding valve is set to vent anything above 13psi, my beer will get only 1.4 volumes of co2 in stead of 2.4. How do i add that other 1 volume of co2 i need to get to the 2.4 volumes ? I have a blowtie 2 spunding valve that goes from 0 to 14 psi measure
You will need a higher pressure gauge, you would need to vent at approx 28psi instead of 13psi
Can i do ginger beer in this all??
NO. ONLY OREGANO BEER :P
So do you guys sell kegland stuff that is rebadged, or is it your own?
Most of our gear is our own, we stock some parts from other companies as we are not large enough to manufacture everything ourselves.
