    What if the random variable is discrete? Do you still find the pmf the same way like you find pdf?

    very nice explanations!!! what about creating a new random variable function that contains more than one random variable where you have to use the jacobian to calculate it

      I agree! The only reason that I haven't is because we don't discuss that in our probability class.

      Diane Evans or the moment generating technique. I guess that one is pretty easy, just a multiplication of each of the moment functions of each random variable
