doing the lords work
I was about to do the lord's work when I saw it had already been done.
Great help! After seeing your video, im gonna get a stand up for organization and a chest for bulk. Thakks😊
If you getting 1/4 beef a 5 cu ft freezer will work
If you get a 1/2 beef a 12 cu ft freezer will work
And if you want to get the whole dang cow 22 cu ft freezer and you should be fine and dandy
Remember you also still have your normal freezer in the house for whatever you want to organize in their to cook next or to prepare frozen meals etc.
Thx for the info lady!
Excellent presentation. We estimated 14 cubic feet for 1/2 beef so we have a 20 cubic foot upright. After the beef arrived, we bought 1/2 hog so the additional space was used. Organization and access is critical for us to avoid losing track of what's in there. Our garage is oversized and we added electrical circuits as needed.
Thank you for the information. Very helpful.
You guys are AWESOME!
Thank.you for posting
Thank you, that was very helpful!
Thanks for sharing
Awesome video, just looking for the right size for 1/2 side of beef and this was great, straight o the point, 🙏🏻
Thanks for the freezer volume info. We have an upright freezer which we will dedicate solely to the half steer meat but will have to switch to the chest for the whole steer. The goal is to raise our own, butcher and use that. I like the organization with the upright unit but see now that chest is more practical with the harvesting of wild dear and elk as well. So thank you for your presentation.
Hi thank you for the information, I’m getting half a beef 🥩 soon so this is really helpful. We live in Wyoming but will be coming to your area in August for a family reunion .
TL:DR - Buy a 12 cubic foot chest freezer
That's a good answer for you, but not for me. I'd rather get two @5 cu. ft. (or 7), so that I can work my way down to half capacity, put all in one, and defrost the other. Then switch and defrost the first. Also with 2, I limit my loss if one freezer flat out fails.
we just found you and will be ordering very soon!
Great info. 👍👍👍
You can get around 220lbs of beef in a 7cu. ft. chest freezer.
Shopping for a freezer for a half bio beef. I might get an 11 cu.ft. one. My 3.8 is always full so I cannot cook in advance much which is a pain.
For about $1.00 a round I can harvest a white tail and get about 50 lbs of meat.
It takes a full 6 and a half minutes for this video to get into valuable info.
👍👍👍
Also matters if its 1/2 an Angus or 1/2 a Charolais?
LOL.
So they don't really sell a 1/2 beef, just certain cuts of meat? You don't get the organ meat, tongue, fat, bones, etc?
Can you put a chest freezer in your living room?
Yes you can
6:28 is the answer
Skip to 5:05 to avoid the blabber
why do you have padlocks on your freezers?
Locks on the outside mean you're trying to keep something in!
it's a safety feature to keep children from climbing/falling in and suffocating/freezing
5.00 in still no answer
