speaking as someone who played 60 hours of Andromeda, this is my largest complaint. Not animations or the way they walk... but the fact it's only the illusion of choice. you can choose to go right or left... but all roads lead to the same outcome.
@@danitiwa sure but even if those characters die the game progresses the exact same way, replacing those characters with someone else. Its rare when a choice actually affects the game.
It seems weird that Ryder is walking around Kadara Port in his civvies surrounded by people in armor, it makes no sense. And the default clothes with all their spotless white, it's shocking that nobody tries to mug Ryder the second he/she arrives.
antiochus87 of course it doesnt make sense.. why would they follow the rules of the ports they visit when ryder is trying to make settling easier? cuz shirking the rules like a dick bag and causing everyone to want them dead everywhere they go makes settling EASIER.....wait
Yeah, that was my first impression when they revealed this scene all those months back, that after so many years travelling to a brand-new galaxy, the first place Bioware deigned to show us was a knockoff version of Omega. It doesn't really help matters that Indira Varma isn't a very good actress.
Perhaps, but I still like the endings( with extended cut of course ). In my opinion the problem is not the final ending result, but the plotting toward it.
so the problem i have with this interrupt (and all of them if im honest) is it was a very shepard thing to do but Ryder doesn't have his (or her) rep or the skills to back it up so this just falls flat, if comander shepird snachs the gun out of your hands he would have shot the guards or dismantled the gun (or if they're just playing around throwing it back to the guard)
As barbaric as Sloane is... she actually has honesty and honor. I was surprised at how she consistently would tell the truth and keep her word on many things. Like when you & her go and Reyes Vidal challenges her to a duel, she just up and fucking agrees, right then and there, without hesitation. "The devil you know," applies on several magnitudes to this character. You don't like her or agree with her, but you can fucking _trust_ her. How often do you see that in writing anymore these days? Reyes was charismatic, but I couldn't stand the lying and deception, above all else. I couldn't. So I didn't let him assassinate her. No regrets.
Yeah but how can I trust Reyes to keep his promises in the end if was so deceitful to begin with? His ultimate goal is clearly to gain control of Kadara and the exiles government in the first place. How do I know that helping him will make him loyal to his word forever, rather than him just working in his own self interest once helping me becomes an inconvenience? I can't trust him. Sloane can be trusted, she consistently shows honor and integrity to the truth. I can hate her opinions and methods all I want, but in the end I know she isn't going to deceive me.
Well seeing as at one point when you suggest puttting a colony on the planet she says she'll view it as an act of war, trust doesn't matter too much cause at that point you can trust that a part of her wants to kill you lol. I'll take the guy who I can trust to be untrustworthy over the one that hates the people I'm fighting for. Also it's pretty evident that Reyes sees you and your actions as beneficial to him, and as long as that continues you have nothing to worry about. I did feel bad about her turian friend, I thought he could turn out to be pretty cool.
Here is the thing though. Ryder doesn't pay for choosing Sloane. The settlers do in the form of Sloane extorting them for protection fees. I should allow my settler to be extorted of their hard earned gains just because Sloane is honest about it? Fuck that shit. Reyes may be shady, but he at least he genuinely supports your settlement rather than leech off it's livelihood.
Read the Nexus uprising Novel. She is a good person and did pretty much nothing wrong during the uprising. Tann and his incompetence was the main reason it got to the uprising at the first place and and then when Slone was trying to negotiate with the rebels Tann didnt wait and sent Krogan in and caused big massacre.
This scene really made me miss my badass Shepard :'( These would not look like impossible odds for my Shepard to crush under foot but I would like to warm up to Ryder and how he/she is not a charismatic battle hardened hero but a normal person who tries their best to uphold his duty and eventually grow into a hero. I would give this a chance! we all should if we love ME!
these people were left alone for barely over a year with all kinds of advanced technology at their disposal. I find it kind of silly that they went all lord of the flies so quickly.
Sloane is like Robert from game of thrones, Ryder is like Ned, that would eventually always look to get his trustworthy however quite dificult friend out of trouble. Mass effect andromeda is a story of redemption and reconciliation in case of sloane, where she starts as the one that departed from rest of the colonists as a black sheep being suspected of "turning to the dark side", but thanks to her talisman which is Ryder, the maverick initiative officer eventually finds a way to reconcile with the initiative in the end. All that only for a brief moment, because as usual such characters doesn't stick around for long which makes her one of the most interesting characters in the mass effect universe.
Kaetus is such a chump, his grip on the gun is so weak it's like he didn't even bother to struggle when Ryder took it from him. Plus, pointing a handgun at someone close range always carries the risk of being disarmed
I actually like Sloane. I told her the truth and I understand why she must punish that Angara. (Besides that Angara is a traitor and who cares if he dies.)
The Resistance wanted him alive. Sorry I would rather have good PR with them than Sloane, who is NEVER going to consider you anything more than an annoyance.
Guys a doubt, I disarmed the turian bodyguard and I had a conversation with Sloane unpleasant, this definitely compromises my relationship with this faction ??
i think alec didnt want his special ver of sam passed on to someone out of the family plus his kid was going to die and without sam they would have died. i think sam and the pathfinder are a set.
Blackemperess Agreed. The fact that they constantly make jokes and never take anything seriously is also infuriating. Though, that's not exclusive to the twins. Nobody takes anything seriously in this game except Alec, and he died in the first 10 minutes.
they were serious in the first vault and in other quests but overall immature some more than others. I hope they mature throughout the games when done right it's amazing I think andromeda is just setting things up~
Biosoft aka bioware showed a scene like this with better graphics. It was before the game came out and gave us this bullshit. I can say as a fan im pissed
keep in mind that the trailer was recorded in 4K and all settings cranked to Ultra. and I don't think xLetalis has a beast of a PC. I've run this scene at 4K and it looked like the trailer one
manuel gramajo I still don't understand why they made her so damn ugly in this game. She used to be cute!! That trailer was all I had to go on when I read the first book. I get to this scene and I was like "........yo man, WTF?!"

I think that now we have this impression, but in future games we'll see the consequences of every choice we made!
Gilbert E it’s same idea of me1 the second installment should have repercussions of ur choices
Pretty much the same problem with mass effect in general. Choices never made much difference or had much consequence.
@@m33tballa idk man a lot of characters can die if you pick certain things or don’t do certain things in me2 especially
@@danitiwa sure but even if those characters die the game progresses the exact same way, replacing those characters with someone else. Its rare when a choice actually affects the game.
Am I the only one who wanted Ryder to fuck up the disarm action and end up dropping the gun?
Lol, imagine - "Your weapon proficiency is not high enough".... "F*CK!!"
Disarming and telling Sloane to stick were the sun doesn't shine is the best option.
LOL that would be hallarious dude! Great idea

Grampy Grey clearly you havent been stabed before.
Turian Guard : Um... can I have my gun back now?
No! It's *my* gun now and I'm keeping it
Two krogan guards with rifles behind Ryder's back: those just props! those things just props!
Aria wannabe?
I guess ;]
katsupoi24 Thrift shop Aria.
katsupoi24 same thing i thought, except she's nowhere near as charismatic or intimidating.

Shes no way near like Aria wannabe... Shes more like Matriark Benezia / Balak / Oleg Petrovsky wannabe
Damn she has aged since they first revealed her lol
that's what I keep wondering I'm sure she was a lot younger lol
all they did was add the burn scars and give her heterochromia. it's the same head morph
ZenJestr pretty sure she got some wrinkles... im fine with it more realistic
Why is Scott's face so much more natural at disarming then Sara?
They removed the awkward animation! Too bad removal is not a viable fix for the rest of them ;]
Lack of real choice and consequence which I love, probably most ME fans love :(
"real choice and consequeneces" is what completely fucked up the endings to mass effect 3 though...

I will say one thing. Ryder is smooth as fuck with the disarm xD
We should've been able to romance Sloane just because mass effect fans like more romance options.. someone would hit that one time for the one time.
Easy automatic lol
You not lying I was thinking the whole time like if I fuck Sloane would I get like some badass rouges platoon to help at the end of the game.

yeah, she doesn't really have a choice
