    I love all these new state of the art chillers and tubs…. I followed ur original DIY with a used ice barrel 400 from offer up for 300$ and a 1/2 hp chiller set up from your Amazon list for less than 800…. Getting the full legit experience for around 1.2k $ which is pretty economical for these legit plunge set ups …thank you for these videos

    Hey David! Been watching you for a few months now and I just have to say thank you for all your content bro. I started doing cold showers until I needed something colder, and eventually built my own cold plunge set up here in AZ thanks to your videos. I just recently had a baby and started a new warehouse job working the night shifts and although I’m only sleeping about 4 hours a day at the moment it’s because of YOU and your knowledge that I’m able to recover somewhat to keep pushing to go to work for my family. I do a cold plunge everyday before work and also some red light therapy throughout the week to help with some pains. Cold plunging has definitely changed my life. God and cold plunging 💪🏼 keep it up!

    I’m glad you did a review on this new chiller. I’m close to pulling the trigger on 7 cold plunges, and noise and efficiency are both top of mind. Your reviews are always thorough. Thank you!

      You sure can, the insulation helps with that but there is also a mat you can put under to catch that. Its in my amazon cart if you want to check it out dmjr.co/500diykit

    Is there a reason it cant be hooked up to other companies plunges? I have an ice barrel 500 in a cold climate, this seems like a perfect fit.

    You mention it works in freezing weather, is it rated to be left outside in sub zero temps? It can get down to 30 below here in Montana.

    Hi David, thanks for the info on the plug really helpful! Quick Q bought and just hooked up our new plunge pure pro and she’s not chilling. She’s running, we have good water flow, so its working temp is set to 58 but no cold water coming out? Am I missing something?

    Hey brother, it’s me again!! lol
    I commented the other day about wishing that my ice barrel 500 would finally show up of which you responded. You had a good feeling it was coming and boy were you right lol . Just got the shipping notification today being as I live about 15 minutes from you there is no doubt you are the guy to ask if you had to buy one chiller for Odessa weather which one would it be and how many horse?? I’m about to order one tonight but I’m so confused lol

      Yoo! Come over and test it out it you want! I am stoked at the performance of the 1/4HP one in my new 500 kit. If you have any reservations, the 1/2 will be more than plenty with all the insulation of the 500

    I got this chiller. The first one would trip once the chiller engaged, also leaking fluid/oil in the plunge. Plunge sent me a new one which needed someone to come remove a valve to get working.
    The only issue is the new chiller doesn’t get to 37 degrees ever. I have 2 different thermometers to confirm the temperature. The lowest it gets is 40. Was told by PLUNGE it’s a software issue and they are planning to release a new firmware update which fixes this problem.
    David have you heard of this problem? Does yours get to 37? Any ideas on a fix?
    (I did purge the pump of air)

    I just used your affiliate code to buy a Plunge evolve air. Love your videos and they really helped me make the jump $100 plunge to The best cold punch out there. I was just curious when you are going to do a video on the air as I am impatient and waiting the six weeks for mine. Also, I bought the chemical kit and I’m wondering if the filters are gonna last me for a couple years. Lastly, are you gonna use the air like a hot tub like the edge? I want to use the air as a hot tub as well, but I’m scared of the electricity going from Plunge to hot tub. Thank you for your great videos I can’t wait to see your review when you get it.

      Let me know how that works for you. I’m getting ready to get the all in and I do like the idea of converting it from cold temps to hot. Just not sure how long it takes.

    Does the plunge require its own slot on your circuit breaker? I know my garage can pull the amps it needs but it won’t have its own unique slot which could be a deal breaker.

    • @DavidMausJr
      @DavidMausJr  5 місяців тому

      It doesn’t. At the max output it pulls about 8 amps

    Any idea if you can set a schedule for the water temp? I plunge once/day in the morning; would be nice to schedule 37* for 7am - 8:30am, and then let the water temp rise for the other 22-23 hours/day.

    • @DavidMausJr

    Love your videos. So helpful. I bought an Ice Up industries cooler. Their chiller keeps having issues. Will this chiller connect via the basic rubber ties used by Iced up? Then I could still use my inflatable iced up tub

    Does the optional heater make it like a solo spa? How long would it take to get from hot to cold?

    • @DavidMausJr
      @DavidMausJr  4 місяці тому

      The heater is really not to heat the water, its to keep the water from freezing in the coldest of winters.

    What about maintenance issues under the cover, pump, electronics etc? At 91 lbs, I don't see these units being returned to factory? Is there no pre strainer before the filter?? Thanks.

    • @DavidMausJr
      @DavidMausJr  5 місяців тому +1

      Great question. That’s one of the cool benefits of the app. The app can quickly diagnose the issue and they have techs nationwide so there won’t be a need to return the unit if there’s an issue. Pretty proud of them for spearheading the overall user experience like they are.

    Love your videos! After watching this review, I bought this Chiller with an XL Tub. Worked great for one week and broke. Has no flow from the chiller to the tub and stopped cooling. Waiting for Plunge Support to get back with me. Pretty frustrating to pay this much $$ to have it only last one week. I will keep everyone posted on how their customer support handles this.
